Im old as dirt and Garand Thumb is my favorite most times. I did bust his chops and said I missed his old videos one time , lol. Its the only time he ever answered my comment !!! Now I know why I like his older videos so much, he is doing some things to draw in the younger crowd. I apologize for being so damn selfish Mike. Good stuff
I am the second oldest as dirt (Late 50's) I feel like a grandpa watching these youngsters. My wars seem like yesterday, but they were really long ago. Just living vicariously though these guys. All of you!!! Great work.
Two of my favorite people, on my favorite podcast! Sad the crew is leaving WA (but I totally understand the reasons), I wish them the best on their new journey in ID. I can't wait for them to get classes going, definitely going to attend a few :) I have nothing but respect for what these two have, and will accomplish in the future. Micah is becoming a master of his craft. Thank you all for the awesome conversation!
Mike hit's the nail on the head at 1:14 that we watch because you are having fun and we can tell. We love watching people totally enjoy themselves. It's also why I love Hoovie's Garage and Doug DeMuro.
"Like the video if you've ever tried to eat an MRE cracker in 30 seconds and ended up looking like a dog eating peanut butter. Guys the comments section of this video is out of control"
GT seems like such a great guy. Super laid back and smart. GT you were one of the first YT gun guys that I found and got into. As an LEO and SWAT operator in a large metro area, I have used much of your advice. Keep it up!!
Micah is "the wind beneath Mike's wings..." Their relationship is practically the entire plot of "Sleepless In Seattle" Btw, now that I know what "glow up" means, the rest of my bucket list is meaningless
I miss the old style videos with the black screen and the gear reviews they help me out with a lot of purchases and that was most useful and enjoyable. Videos like the freeze test I just skip but to each their own
Thanks Mike / Garand thumb for introducing me to Roscoe barrels I currently own three and would choose them over my criterion barrels any day of the week with quality customer service and price.
Iv owned guns for 7-8 years now, and I enjoy them, but I didn’t REALLY start caring about learning them and training with them until I found GT. I didn’t truly care about survival training until I found the channel
Wow... My favourite PodCast from one of my favourite companies featuring one of my favourite "gun channels" w/ Mike and Micah. (with a shoutout to "Charlie) In my humble opinion, this episode ranks amongst one of your BEST... considering there has been so many AWESOME episodes. This one is right up there with the Jerry Miculek full length interview. Being a viewer now for about 3-4 years, and having seen most of GT videos, I do not recall a video that had the crew laughing as much, or so hard, including Charlie's one-liners, as the video title "What Does It Sound Like To Get Shot At?" For this Podcast I was thoroughly entertained and educated (w/ Mike and Micah's history) from the first second to the last. I also look forward to seeing more from the new range in Idaho.... and from the beautiful Vortex Podcast "Office" Happy Holidays Gentlemen and may the New Year bring you much Health and Happiness.
It makes sense now about the Trench Gun video... That was the first one where I thought holy crap is this a movie or a Garand Thumb video.... I also remember seeing tons of Comments on the video that they did at Demo Ranch. On the video Matt did with Mike everyone was commenting that Matt needed to up his video quality game because the Garand Thumb video shot there looked so much video.
I was in a recon unit for 3 years. We normally went to the field 3-5 days a week. We carried everything we would use with no expectation for resupply. I taught myself to not drink water the first 24 hours. I got used to that. Maybe it was bad for me but it was better to drink when I was smoked than when I was fresh.
I love the gear industry. The only reason I’ve been able to do custom work for cheap is because I got connected with my local gear companies. It’s a awesome feeling when I can roll up to a big companies warehouse or manufacturing building, shake hands with the CEO as he helps me out. It’s so unexpected, i’m glad it’s industry wide and not just here in Texas.
Being 38 I was VERY early to the eSports game and was actually offered a space to represent the UK at one of the very earliest big eSport events in the early 00s. My parents wouldn't let me go because they didn't think it was a real thing 😂
I've been to 3 SERE schools Army and Navy Level C and Air Force. AF survival phase is the best and Army Resistance Phase was the best, that being said the Navy Resistance course was the most brutal due to them knowing my prior experience. Good Times!
I wish both of y’all’s channels would upload content to Rumble as well. It would be nice to see y’all diversify streams and be able to upload content to Rumble that violates YT terms.
garandthumb got his start on 4chan, he used to post in the gear queer threads on the weapons board all the time. that's where he got the name for his channel from.
I’m glad to hear his opinion on the gun tubers squabbling it makes me want to not watch a channel when they start trash talking other channels that put out completely different content. Except tundra tactical because it’s all just a joke and I can appreciate that
Thanks for sharing I’m still waiting this video on my big screen TV and I’m only about 1/2 way through but it’s very interesting but I never usual have the time to watch this long stuff like this. In GT’s last couple of videos I commented that all that they were missing was Mat Best secret to success which is now BRCC is hot hard bodied beautiful chicks in bikini’s because I’m 56 and I’ve been married to the same girl for the last 36 years and I grew up in the 80’s in Southern California when girls did what ever it took to be as skinny hot sexy and beautiful as possible with starvation, surgeries , anorexia, exercise, makeup, hair and what ever it took to be the best that they could be. Thanks guys.
The British car TV show Top Gear had excellent live action photography. Thgey made any American coverage of ANYTHING look like it was done by children.
PLOT TWIST: The mysterious man in the woods was Micah because he ran out of food and water…he keeps it to himself to this day.

Very proud of you Mikey, very cool!
My two favorite shows combined thank you Vortex!

That being said Micah, the trench shotgun video is so badass. That’s the video that started my passion for your channel

You left poor Charlie at home? Long as he has his blue broom.
Im watching this episode following the TRexArms episode and I really appreciate what you folks are doing. Very Necessary for the culture....
Micah has inspired me to go hiking without water. Thanks, dude!

Great episode, definitely my favorite so far! Very much enjoyed watching, thanks for making the podcast.
One of the best shows
Awesome watch.
This is the single greatest Garand Thumb content I've ever watched. This man and his team need to be protected at all costs
I work in the Cusick area actually. That would be an awesome place to train for sure
Having a range in the back yard is living the dream. I put in a pistol range and have a 100 and 200 yard range in my west field. God is good.

When your kid you want to be a grown up when you're a grown up you want to be a kid. He's a God damn poet
When they said “Gaiter needs his gat” I was hoping they meant Scott, FPSRUSSIA’s cousin, then delve into FPSrussia and PKA
Micha Does fantastic camera work. Absolutely fantastic. The flannels are nice but the camera work made me an instant subscriber
Gotta love Idaho, I want to move there sometime.
Great video/pod cast. Very interesting. Loved the comment about it’s a human right to self protect. Couldn’t agree more.
Proud of you Mikey!
Thank you and modern AK’s was my favorite
Qua is to camera work what Drew Bledsoe was to Football. He was a great NFL QB, and then Tom Brady just came along and ended his career.
Wow!! My favorite u tube guys on the same show!! How cool 😎
30 minutes in the conversation about screaming about gun politics is on point.
So I saw the Packers helmet, and I took the bait. Turns out, Vortex is also in WI, same with BCM, American Defense, Militia Works, and USCCA!

I love the older reviews with the era clothing and cinematic intros. Would like nothing more than a WW2 M1 Garand doughboy vibe.
Micah should train another camera man to work for Ian at Forgotten Weapons. I love Ian but his camera looks like its from 1995.
