I THINK YOU JUST HELPED ME OUT. HADN'T RUN THE POLE SAW IN SOME TIME, FIRED HER UP AND SHE WAS MAKING A HORRIBLE CLUNKY SOUND. PULLED THE COVER. CLEANED IT OUT SAME THING, SO I'M HEADED BACK OUT TO THEW SHOP AND HOPEFULLY I CAN GET ONE THOSE SPROCKETS OUT HERE IN WYOMING. THANKS MAN!
thanks for the info. I like to know stuff for my chainsaw, I have the 17 ft.stihl ht131, husqvarna 8 ft pole saw a little lighter then the 17 ft stihl pole saw . both saws work great if you take care of them
So the sprocket screw is left hand thread, interesting. Would you recommend putting thread locking compound on the sprocket screw thread?? Hi from Australia.
The bigger sprocket diameter will give you a higher chain speed, not so much torque. Think of putting your truck in 5 th gear and start up a hill vs 1 st gear which one will get you to the top fab steep hill?
Thanks - Can you indicate when that sprocket should be replaced? My sprocket has some very big grooves worn in from the drive links of the chain. At what point should it be replaced?
I have a Stihl ht 56c want to upgrade from 10 inch bar and chain to the 12 inch bar and chain . It has the pico 1/4 sprocket what part number is the 3/8 speocket . And how many washers wil i need
You’ll have to get it from a Stihl dealer. Not sure when I made these videos if I mentioned, but when I made these videos, we were a Stihl, Husqvarna, and Echo Dealership. I had access to a shop I built for them that was well stocked, I usually just get my parts out of a parts bin. Stihl and Echo there are not many aftermarket parts available. I appreciate you watching and commenting.
Dude I spent 45 min at the store last week trying to explain to the morons there that I needed the flat sided sprocket and they looked at me like I was crazy since they said it "had" to be circular,
How about you do a video with the ORIGINAL PARTS or ATLEAST the parts you took off! Im almost positive that not one viewer has YOUR "UPGRADED" SPROCKET on hand and are looking to see how and what order the ORIGINAL washers and cup washers were installed.... 🙄
@mcbrnd And almost all the pole saws in my area have been converted. Most people in my area pay me to convert them the day they buy them from our dealership. Almost half the pole saws in our area are used to trim log trucks.
