Yeah, even the color palette is similar, which I imagine doesn't do the reception of Fastrack's design any favors. I know it didn't when I first saw him. The blue and black + speed just immediately felt like a callback to XLR8 while... not being him.
I mean, we already have several aliens already in the show that do the same thing, its not good storytelling to introduce an alien that does nothing and is outclassed by others.

The "hit good" aliens all have differences unlike fast track vs xlr8. It's literally just one is better than the other objectively.
Yeah, Ben is actually well trained, he faced pierce with only a staff and Max was genuinely surprised Ben lost, to which Ben revealed he lost on purpose to gain Pierce's trust, he faced Manny in that training exercise and actually managed to disarm him without using any weapons.
Kolar was probably arrested for making and/or distributing illegal weapons, since he was able to reprogram a Fusion Grenade & a Null Void Gun. Plus that would give him some means of getting out of the null void, as he'd not only be strong enough to get out of the plumber holding cell Ragnarok got out of, but know how to work a portal to get out.
That's actually a pretty good backstory for him. I imagine maybe he was in an illegal weapons ring and acted as maybe a similar role to Kevin. Smart Muscle who knows how to use the weapons they smuggle, either creating, modifying, or testing the weapons. Given how familiar they are, maybe Hulka was to him and that ring what Max was to Vilgax. Honestly I'd like to see how that went
I liked the line earlier in the episode where Ben mentions Grandpa Max being the greatest plumber to ever live and they imply that maybe isn’t the case, gotta love grandchildren thinking the world of their grandparents
Considering the sheer amount of Feats and achievements Max has done during his years of service (first being to defeat Vilgax, war hero of multiple alien wars, connections with many influential and powerful individuals and organizations as seen with his ties with NASA and friendship with a billionaire, being probably the apex of humanity (at least in terms of normal humans ignoring alien hybrids yet even then he can hold his own and even beat many of them) and being given the knowledge of the Forge of Creation. I swear I wished we could get a prequel series title Max Tennyson and see the many adventures that Max had in his youth.

I love the idea their bathrooms are always broken because they're not that type of plumbers. Or they have a special plumber plumber, the most plumber plumber in the plumbers organization
Magister Hulka is so cool actually. He's an old grumpy guy but he's also strong enough to hold back and punch a tetramand, he's so agile to jump that void portal, and he does care about his students. Badass

i think in omniverse is more so how ben and the public view him as more of a superhero role than an actual plumber, though rook tends to remind him he is also a plumber technically
I like to imagine that Ben is it's technically a freelance specialty contactor. Like how in Omniverse they had a hire the duck to take them to a planet that had acidic air. So Ben is technically a "disposable agent," but he never gets killed on a mission by virtue of being the protagonist of the series
14:00 I think the only other alien in Ben 10 who's first apparence wasn't spoiled was probably Bullfrag and I guess the Outbreak aliens too since I remember the teaser for that episode was hyping up Kickin Hawk.
I very much think this episode could have benefited from a good balance of "Sometimes you have to follow the rules" and "Sometimes you have to break them to do what's right". Proving viewpoints from both sides can be a good debate, and a good lesson to understand. Especially since Tack is a young, bright eyed person, who could learn a lot from both sides, but has to be careful to not listen to one side more than the others.
I personally like this episode. Don’t know why but just do. And I’m enjoying the added little bits of extra humor like the cut on the caffeine and sich
The next episode "It's not easy being Gwen better get a full breakdown", it is one of my personal favourite episodes where I watched many times during 5th grade when it came out, plus I checked IMDB it is the second highest rated episode next to Ben 10,000 Returns. Can't wait for next week.
In my headcannon. There was a swap between chromastone and Diamondhead until the end of Ben 1000 returns. When Ultamate Ben says Ben now has access to all of his old transformation.
I really love how you tried making more jokes than usual and “fourth wall breaks” (I don’t really know what to fall it) it was really fun and made it seem like you really had a blast making this one, also I can’t believe kuro said sludge puppy, I’m literally crying and shaking right now, kuro would never 😭
I actually fully enjoy this episode. And I too wish we got more of tac. Hes a simple but good character. I actually made an omnitrix transformation of his species I call "Crash head". I also called his species an "extervix" which basically means extended neck. Good stuff kuro
I kinda wish that Magister Labrid and Magister Prior Gilhil's deaths had more of an impact on the series. Like when the trio meets Gilhil for the first time they only refer to having "met" Labrid previously, not that he freaking died in front of them. And no one ever acknowledges that Gilhil is dead, despite him being the one to draft the trio into the plumbers. And then they retconned that Kevin stole Labrid's badge, saying it was Devin's somehow, which gets retconned again in omniverse. In max out and in moonstruck they don't even bring up Labrid's death, even though they mention him/his stolen badge. It just kinda feels like a missed opportunity to have these characters' deaths matter, or at least have an impact on the story beyond shock value
I liked this one, and I liked how it reframed Hulka at the end. You gotta know the rules to know how to break them. If you go off-book without knowing what's in the book, someone could get hurt who didn't need to, you could break a law you didn't know existed, etc.
I'm glad Omniverse made the Plumbers more important, but I wish their Earth branch had actually been built up by UAF. Not sure if that's a by those series or Omniverse's tho.
This is something that I noticed in the episode. In Map of Infinity, when Ben turned back to human, his Plumber suit was gone, but not in this episode for some reason. Other than that, very good episode.
I think Fasttrack would get way less hate if he just had cooler moments in UA. Him saving 2 people from the fusion grenade is the only time he did something that XLR8 probably couldn't do, just judging by how big of a guy Hulka is.
The first episode Trombipulor was introduced in was an Ultimate Alien episode and he yelled his name and some vague motivation, Ben made a peanuts joke and fought him using Terraspin and won pretty fast
I swear I'm the only one who doesn't hate Fasttrack. Yeah, he's the most redundant of Ben's aliens, but he served his role as the UAF speedy alien well and it sucks that he never got brought back in Omniverse. Lord knows the fans would love him more if he got revamped in Omniverse to be more distinct from XLR8.
I remember all the Fasttrack theories after his first appearance. Some thought he was "faster than light" because he could save Tack from that nuclear explosion. We were definitely overhyping him lol.
Fastrack was actually pretty cool for me. Only if they gave him something extra to work with like super strength or made him a more prominent alien then he could've been a fan favourite. But the whole point of bringing in Fastrack was to have a xlr8 replacement which hurt the character
Maybe Fasttrack’s species could have come from the same planet as XLR8’s, parallel evolution with speed based abilities but different base forms (dinosaur vs cat like) and because of this there’s an inherent rivalry. We’ve seen Ben with forms that affect his personality, but certainly by this stage nothing that demonstrates aggression towards a specific species (Rath is belligerent by nature). It’d be a way to use Helen in an episode while marking Fasttrack out as different from XLR8.
A little plot-hole I noticed is that it was established that the ultimatrix changes the user back to his default outfit, but in this episode that Ben changes back to his plumber uniform.
i just noticed something about Kolar design, it's very similar to UA Four arms'es design, Kolar has more hair, a longer goatee, has long pants, has scars while Four Arms has a pony tail, has sashes and the ultramatix on his chest, and also the colors between them are different aswell
I was also spoiled to Upchuck by that action figure. That's neat lol This episode always stuck out in my mind, mainly because of how the Plumbers have a classification for "superpowers". That suggests to me that there's some kind of galactic standard for physical stats and abilities, which is somewhere around what Humans are. For all the aliens on the watch, there's probably a lot more that are comparable to Walkatrout and Molestache than Heatblast or Diamondhead.
Molestache was able to lift an entire truck with his moustache alone, beat Fistrick in a fight who can be considered a peak human bcz he goes to gym regularly while normal humans don't and was also able to land an uppercut on young Vilgax and send him flying into his ship, which I doubt a normal human could do
17:26 I always thought the training area was actually out in space on some nearby asteroids since everyone has the helmets on. Sure could be for simulation, but a lot of times when you get something akin to the danger room or the holodeck, the immersion is generally broken by someone not in proper attire. Like I'd imagine Hulka being in his uniform sans the helmet if it was some kind of holographic arena. Edit: lmao not even 40 seconds later Kuro says they could be in space. Now it me who isn't waiting
Fun fact about photographic memories: It works less like an actual photograph where you see something and never forget. You need to have an understanding of whatever you see/hear/read and that understanding activates the firing of certain neurons which then allow you to recall the information at a later time. What Ben demonstrated in the Ledger Domain episode was another type of heightened memory that allows him to recall certain sensations like sound or sight perfectly for a short amount of time. Ultimately I don’t think Ben has a photographic memory as much as he has a form of Synesthesia which is a whole other thing
7:10 Nah that's where they say sludge puppy is a ok term to use(get it? Because it was plumbers who even invented this term? So ofc they'd be biased and allow their rude words to stay while they avoid other one's)
I wonder what happened to Ben going back to his regular uniform when transforming back in this episode but I guess the rules of the ultimatrix don't mean much at this point
I like to believe the red color on the alpha suits is because alpha is a rank made after the original conception of the initial plumber rankings and the didnt want to change the suits of magister and such to keep them recognizable
I thought that this was a pretty decent episode. I thought that Tack was a pretty fun character and he had some nice interactions with Ben after he greeted him as a fan. Ben did feel a bit more cocky than he has been for awhile, but I think it made a bit more sense because he had already believed that he was a Plumber and that they didn't need these courses because they've been working for a long time, as well as the whole saving the universe bit. It was also kind of fun to see Kevin actually wanting to follow the rules. It was to be expected considering that he really values being a Plumber, but it was nice to see that appearing in his character again. I agree that having the villain show up in the last five minutes was a pretty weak way to handle the situation. I'm not sure if I would have wanted Tack to turn out to be the villain, even though it would have been a nice twist, but it definitely would have been nicer to have more buildup to this villain instead of two events during some of their courses. Plus, there was a generally stronger focus on their training that who was making these attacks until the end of the episode. I did get a nice laugh at the end where Ben mentions that he is paying attention, even though people don't think that he is. Overall, it was an okay episode. I wasn't really impressed with it, but I didn't think it was completely pointless either due to Ben, Gwen and Kevin officially becoming Plumbers. Hopefully, next week's episode will be fun to watch too.
You know with how Ben saved his Superior and his new friend at the same time. Personally I think that is a good excuse to break orders. Also besides with how we've seen the tennis and strength he probably didn't even need four arms to lift the cabinet.
What I noticed is that, despite the Ultimatrix being supposed to put Ben back in his default jacket and jeans after transforming(think S1 ep 11 "Map of Infinity"), this is the only time where he transforms back into what he was wearing prior to transforming, in this case, the Plumber's uniform.
I loved when Ben yelled out “It’s plumbing time!” And used the Omnitrix to turn into a surprisingly in shape Italian man in blue and red overalls.

The next episode "It's not easy being Gwen better get a full breakdown", it is one of my personal favourite episodes where I watched many times during 5th grade when it came out, plus I checked IMDB it is the second highest rated episode next to Ben 10,000 Returns. Can't wait for next week.
18:40 To be fair, Ben 10,000 could've unlocked Diamondhead for him.
Diamondhead was already in the ultimatrix since Albedo used him in the final battle part 1 when fighting Kevin
In my headcannon. There was a swap between chromastone and Diamondhead until the end of Ben 1000 returns. When Ultamate Ben says Ben now has access to all of his old transformation.
Yeah, except Diamondhead's icon was visible when we saw most of Ben's available aliens when he scanned Galapagus.
It’s pluming time
Its morbin time to direct its pluming time!
You know what i like it
Fixing toilets for the win
It's hero time
Remember when Ben 10 walked right up to vilgax and plumbed him in this face
God I love it when he plummed all over us
25:26 That font is called "OCR A Extended". It's basically the go-to generic computer-y font.
I really love how you tried making more jokes than usual and “fourth wall breaks” (I don’t really know what to fall it) it was really fun and made it seem like you really had a blast making this one, also I can’t believe kuro said sludge puppy, I’m literally crying and shaking right now, kuro would never 😭
7:20 I think they let the Ultimate Kevin thing slide because he looks so different, nobody can tell it was him.
To be fair, did anyone even find out Gilhil died? He died on an unknown (Aggregor's) alien spaceship.
Same
@@Samfry523 if they didn’t it should at least be known hes missing
That might not have been a retcon, just a writer's slip, but yeah, I agree.
@@Samfry523should been split in two (clean I half from head to toe)
I liked this one, and I liked how it reframed Hulka at the end. You gotta know the rules to know how to break them. If you go off-book without knowing what's in the book, someone could get hurt who didn't need to, you could break a law you didn't know existed, etc.
Ah yes. The first appearance of fasttrack. Good morning.
morning
I'm glad Omniverse made the Plumbers more important, but I wish their Earth branch had actually been built up by UAF. Not sure if that's a by those series or Omniverse's tho.
To be fair it was UAF’s “space” Plumbers came completely out of nowhere, in Classic the Plumbers were an Earth based organisation.
@@Andrew-Bastin Glad omniverse gave explanation to it
That spongebob joke killed me! XD
This is something that I noticed in the episode. In Map of Infinity, when Ben turned back to human, his Plumber suit was gone, but not in this episode for some reason. Other than that, very good episode.
I always thought Ben asked Azmuth to fix that glitch
I think Fasttrack would get way less hate if he just had cooler moments in UA. Him saving 2 people from the fusion grenade is the only time he did something that XLR8 probably couldn't do, just judging by how big of a guy Hulka is.
Yeah fast track is stronger but he neefs a better design
@@schemar17 I like what DJW(rip) did with his late Omniverse design, the underbite and the paws add a lot.
@@MilczekHD He got a feline look which he deserved
@@schemar17 the design is cool though
@@axelnilsson5124 Which design uaf or ov?
The biggest continuity error in this episode is the fact that Ben doesn’t change back into his default outfit after transforming back into human form
Just another day in the life of a inconsistent ben 10 episode
At this point a Continuity Error is to be expected from this series.
Maybe it got fixed?
Maybe he was buck naked inside the plumber suit, so the ultimatrix brought him back to the base uniform, that in this case being the plumber uniform
Plot twist: Magister Hulkas species is naturally very pale in complexion, but Hulka is always pink because he's always pissed off.
The first episode Trombipulor was introduced in was an Ultimate Alien episode and he yelled his name and some vague motivation, Ben made a peanuts joke and fought him using Terraspin and won pretty fast
"Mom can we have XLR8?"
"No, we have XLR8 at home"
XLR8 at home: Fasttrack.
@@smashmaster521 facts^
Fasttrack ain’t bad just unnecessary
But it’s actually good
It should be this Ben:azmuth can I have Xlr8 back? Azmuth: you already have it back Xlr8:
I will never get bored with the UA Breakdown's Intro
I remember all the Fasttrack theories after his first appearance. Some thought he was "faster than light" because he could save Tack from that nuclear explosion.
We were definitely overhyping him lol.
Yet XLR8 was still faster if he can run and time stood still at ten years old
23:50 “man where the fuck did he get that”
Why did that crack me up 😂
Fastrack was actually pretty cool for me.
Yeah, Fasttrack should've had something else to differentiate him from XLR8, like the ability to shoot his arm spikes.
Think they could've pulled it off if they gave him some kind of personality quirk or something. That totally saved Rath and Jury-Rig
@@HerohammerStudios Like his thought process is, I do not apologise for the pun, in the fast track and he perceives the world as going in slow motion?
I don’t think i’d ever prefer him to xlr8 unless he was given a fairly drastic redesign personally😊
Kuro your jokes in this video really hit hard, the quick fire jokes at the first half of the video really made me laugh, great work again dude!
NAH this episode not breaking the ultimatrix rule of putting ben back in his custom jacket, shirt, and pants, + socks and shoes combo
YES IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS EPISODE
A little plot-hole I noticed is that it was established that the ultimatrix changes the user back to his default outfit, but in this episode that Ben changes back to his plumber uniform.
AHHH! I love this episode, I was so worried it would not get a full breakdown. I'm so happy. These next 30 minutes are going to be awesome.
I can't believe I just now realized the background of the intro is a compilation of kuro's weird hairstyles across the series
9:43 another edit to cherish
Wait a minute, you forgot to say my boy when swampfire appeared.
I Liked The Part Where Ben Yelled Its Morphing Time. Truly Iconic. And Because It Actually Makes Sense!!!!!!
9:43 The SpongeBob theme song was perfectly synched. Also loved the Sky High reference 😂
Uhhh it's باب اسفنجی
Uh he got it right bruh
Didn't expect this episode to get a full breakdown, but cool.
21:00 I thought a flaw of the ultimatrix was that it's supposed to return ben to his default clothing.
i just noticed something about Kolar design, it's very similar to UA Four arms'es design, Kolar has more hair, a longer goatee, has long pants, has scars while Four Arms has a pony tail, has sashes and the ultramatix on his chest, and also the colors between them are different aswell
As I said uaf artstyle was trash and infinitely inferior to omniverse and classic, your statement proves it
@@yashjoshijee2294 omniverse artstyle was worse

The null void is just galactic Australia
I was also spoiled to Upchuck by that action figure. That's neat lol
This episode always stuck out in my mind, mainly because of how the Plumbers have a classification for "superpowers". That suggests to me that there's some kind of galactic standard for physical stats and abilities, which is somewhere around what Humans are. For all the aliens on the watch, there's probably a lot more that are comparable to Walkatrout and Molestache than Heatblast or Diamondhead.
Molestache was able to lift an entire truck with his moustache alone, beat Fistrick in a fight who can be considered a peak human bcz he goes to gym regularly while normal humans don't and was also able to land an uppercut on young Vilgax and send him flying into his ship, which I doubt a normal human could do
@@theamazingspooderman2697 Fair deuce. I stand by what I said about Walkatrout though 😝
@@ghostsurfer23 yeah I agree about that lol
9:44
Ben: (I hate my life right now. Why did I even come if I already saved the universe without their training?)
It means you have to fight a giant fire-breathing turtle and get a cool taller younger brother.
He does have a photographic memory but he chose to not listen to the guy.
This episode is a very good representation of school. You're taught a bunch of shit you'll never use instead polishing the skills you already have
HAHAHAHAHHAHAH what're your skills?
12:12 we've already seen these alien designs in the void episode, in the flashback scene when a guy was explaining the history of the nullvoid.
7:10 Nah that's where they say sludge puppy is a ok term to use(get it? Because it was plumbers who even invented this term? So ofc they'd be biased and allow their rude words to stay while they avoid other one's)
God has arrived, Fasttrack has risen.
Wow! Another long breakdown after so long!!! Thanks Kuro!!!
I wonder what happened to Ben going back to his regular uniform when transforming back in this episode but I guess the rules of the ultimatrix don't mean much at this point
He probably had Kevin fix that
Maybe he was buck naked inside the plumber suit, so the ultimatrix brought him back to the base uniform, that in this case being the plumber uniform
I like to believe the red color on the alpha suits is because alpha is a rank made after the original conception of the initial plumber rankings and the didnt want to change the suits of magister and such to keep them recognizable
I feel like this should be a kevin episode,
Like to focus on the ultimate kevin arc and show his remorse and desire to undo the harm he had done.
Dammit Kuro! You actually caused a laughing fit so hard I had to take a break from watching the video to let my chest recover with that caffeine joke!
I've said this before but I think Fasttrack is one of the best utility aliens Ben has. I wish he was used in the episode Ben was a delivery boy.
This was a fun episode and Tak was great too and I agree he should've came back in Omniverse
I wouldn’t mind if he joined the trio or even becoming a third member with Ben and Rook
Great breakdown as always! I'll be honest and say that you have made me appreciate Fasttrack a lot more throughout previous videos and this one.
Hahahaha! You added the ay ay captain from SpongeBob! You never fail to make me laugh, kuro!
17:28 this is probably an asteroid field Rook mentioned in Omniverse
Maybe
