  • This is the start of a new boat building project where I'll be building a 20ft Gary Dierking double Tamanu catamaran in my garage.
    Some very (very!) kind people have asked how they can send a donation my way, so if you wanted to contribute to the catamaran build you can do it here...

    Looks good. I think you’ve already stated your decision, so yes, fix it. I’m looking forward to building my own one day, so I’m soaking up all the info I can. Thank you for documenting the build.

      Haha! Not sure if that would work but I like the philosophy!

    Love the build so far. I would fix it because even though no one else will probably be able to see it, you will see it every time you look at it. So if you are really dissatisfied with it you will get that feeling every time you look at it in the future.

      Sadly I agree. I know all the flaws of my builds, even if others don't notice them. Fix it!

      Thanks Mark, I just know I’ll never be happy with the boat if I don’t fix it! I need to fully move into the new house so I can kickstart the building process

    Haha. I love it Aaron. Every takeaway coffee I ever buy becomes an epoxy or paint container (I use a lot of paint). Pleased you are recycling as well mate.

      Hahaha Col, all those local cafe runs are definitely justified if only for mixing cups!

      @@Aaron.deRuiter have a great Xmas Aaron and hope you settle into the new place quickly. I am bracing myself for a trip to mascot to collect daughter and grandson from their flight from Hobart. Seems like they are coming into a disaster zone. Only half joking

    enjoyed video.Do you apply a thin epoxy coat(no filler) before you finally wire in the bukheads. ie no dirct ply onto ply?

    • @Aaron.deRuiter
      @Aaron.deRuiter  Рік тому

      No I don’t, I just lay the fillet to the plywood joint and glass over it. Never had a problem🤙
