I've had my P3 for close to two months now, and I have to say you've made a good list. other things you could have mentioned : 1 - you have to go into the car to open the frunk 2 - keyless entry / key detection is cr.. ehm.. very variable. 3 - no automatic function to engage front brakes every once in a while (to prevent rust on discs). 4 - the anti glare coating on the rear mirror is not very good that said, I'm really happy with the car.
nr 3. Where do you live if you have a problem with rust on the discs? I live way up north in Norway and have owned 4 ev's. I've still to date never had rust on the discs. And yes they are salting the roads like crazy in the winter..
Once again, it’s an EU regulation... Since it’s easy for other items to end up on top of the charger besides what you actually want to charge, there needs to be a safeguard to ensure the driver knows it’s active. That’s why it has to be activated each time. This will not be changed in any upcoming software update. Strange? Yes... But that’s how it is. (This information was provided by a Polestar product manager in Denmark.)
@axelramsfors9731 I don't know how it is placed in the car? In the PS3 it is placed where you easy can put some other stuff, that's why they have to make it like this (they say)... In my opinion - Find another place for charge then :-) :-)
@ It’s placed like in a Tesla (but flat), as well as the PS3. Feels weird to have to turn it off, though it’s only electronics that can “trigger” the induction charger to start. So I don’t think it’s a EU regulation…
The reason for it is that the key card need to be placed on the charger when starting to drive(if you dont use phone as key or the fob), if its placed there and charger is on it burns the chip in the key card.
The software works much better with latest version, out since a week. Much more stable but still some minor issues but that is to be expected with any new platform these days.
Good video but some corrections as a Polestar 3 driver myself 1. Regarding curbing the rims. You can choose a 3D , 360 camera view instead of only having the top view which makes it easier to park. I use that. 2. It does have washer for the rear camera, but it washes the camera automatically. For example when my camera is dirty and the car detects im close to an object , it will wash itself. Still the best car in its category. I drove Bmw ix, mercedes eqe , audi q6 and q8 e tron, porsche macan ev and lotus eletre, and this one was the best car for its price.
Though I have only done test drives so far, I have to agree with the button set-ups. They are totally anti-intuitive. Actual buttons that are strategically placed are not only intuitive, they are more safe. Accessing the central control menu is simply dangerous as it requires that you take your eyes off the road for too long when it comes to going into the menu, 3 pages deep, depending on what you want to do. Also, the phone position depending on how aggressively you drive, will not remain in place like it would in another design. That said, the quality of the drive is outstanding and I look forward to receiving mine soon.
Hi! Have you tested if there is a function like on some cars - you put the car in reverse and then you adjust the mirror on left/right - when you put it in drive again the mirrors return to previous setting before adjustment - when you put in in reverse again it will automatically adjust to previous adjusted setting while the car was in reverse. I know it’s not always easy to find those functions without plowing thru the manual which is several hundreds pages long or trying them out when you know they are there. Merry Christmas 🎄
There is a rear washer for the camera, however you cant activate it manually, it suppose to detect when dirty and cleans automatically. Works sometimes but not always….I would prefer a manual button or with the rear wiper
another great video. i got it delivered saturday and i love it BUT... the seating profile auto save is, in my opinion, VERY stupid. you cannot recall a saved position because every time you move the seat, it's automatically saved. now this might be good but for example, i was on a ferry and decided to take a nap. moved the seat back to give me more room but the car automatically saved that, so i had to manually re-adjust it when ready to drive... don't know why they complicated very simple things...
I don't know if Polestar is going to make it. Based on your reviews of the 4 and 3, these seem to be very expensive cars with quite a few negatives. More negatives seemingly than the brands in the price category they are competing against. Porsche, BMW, Audi, Mercedes. etc. A great drive isn't going to be enough.
@@KrisRifa Maybe but the dashboard might have nice leathers and all, but it just looks like a Model 3 or ID4 interior. Switch gear does not seem ergonomic at all. Seats are nice.
Tesla have destroyed the world. The 5 better be good otherwise polestar is dead. I know it’s won’t have the doors but it sure as hell better better rip and be customisable a lot

Wireless charging does work, you just have to turn it on in the setting each time you want to use it thanks to the crappy software.

@@thomaswilhelmsen1 My new ID7 GTX Tourer doesn’t have that problem, it’s always on. However, it shows a little symbol while charging :)

Barely anything of the car screams premium, like the price, to me
