Thanks Kris, I absolutely love mine as well. By far the best car I've ever had, even compared with Mercedes, BMW, Audi etc. and at way lower cost as well. I really think it was a huge mistake they sent it out without proper software, but seeing how quick they roll those patches out, I'm not worried at all and ever since the 4.10 it's actually good, not perfect yet, but 2 or 3 patches from it.
The Polestar 4 is one of my favorite new cars on the market today however, I'm not a fan of the pricing structure for what they have currently. The LR RWD car should be priced lower, in the $40K+ USD range, based on how it is equipped. They should have used a more powerful RWD motor on the current base model, like what is available on the Zeekr 001 in China, and making it the mid level version with the price that the LR RWD currently has and it should come with adaptive suspension (either as standard or in a sport pack). In addition, all of them should have the new batteries which offer better performance. For those that want the Polestar 4 look and not the performance, LR RWD (or AWD), want Polestar 4 with more power and performance upgrade, SR RWD (or AWD) and for those that want it all Performance AWD, with everything included, no options to buy. I see Chinese cars in Malaysia (BYD, GWM, Xpeng and Zeekr to name a few) and they come with pretty much the same specs, except for wheel/tire option (except Xpeng), battery, range, charging speed and time. When the P*4 was launched in China last year, prices were from around $41-56K USD, then earlier this year they cut the price to around $33-49K USD across 4 versions. On the P*3, in the US, they announced a LR RWD version at a lower price. I'm not sure why the 4 didn't get the same treatment, release the performance versions, then later the LR version at better prices. Polestar was known for performance, they should have stuck with that, deliver performance cars first, at a reasonable price as a new brand, then later speced up. Zeekr seems to be doing better, they just took over Lynk and Co., maybe they will also get Polestar or Volvo will.
Thank you, Kris. I love my P4 from the first day. I agree with the topics you like as well as with the topics you hate. Lucky enough. there are more things to like. And the good things are mainly hardware. whereas the bad things are most software - easier to fix than hardware.
