hi was there any issue with the headers leaking i just got mines installed by a shop and i have a leak all hardware from bbk was used for the install i was told the leak is not from the gaskets but it is leaking from where it connects to the exhaust, do you have any recommendations? i also seen that you tagged jacksonville in the im in the area i wanted to also know if possible could i have you take a look
Could be a missing donut gasket that connects the headers to the rest of the exhaust. Send me a message on Instagram if you want me to take a look at it for you.
You just need a tool set from Home Depot or Lowes that has socket sets and Wrenches, car ramps, pb blaster or other penetrating oil. Took roughly 4 hours and that’s while making a video so I was taking my time.
Yah u skipped a big part of the job. You said you removed the catalytic converter to do the install? Can u explain how to do this for us diy at home watching please?
@@saraisarrge8182 He didn't remove the cat he just unbolted it from the headers. And you don't need a vice to hold the studs while you back off the bolts, it just makes it easier. Holding a socket wrench on one end and using another wrench to get the bolt off will work just fine just a little more frustrating. You can find a million wire wheel attachments for a drill for $5 or less, you don't need a big wire machine. He had the nice tools to make it easier, so he used them. There is no universe where you need a "couple hundred" worth of extra tools to do this job
Awesome video man. I’ll be checking out all of your videos. I’m trying to do what you’re doing. I started a channel and I’m going to be posting the work I do aswell. If you have any advice it would be greatly appreciated. It’s my passion as for you I see. And I want to share it with everyone.
I have a 17 V6 stang with a x-pipe with stock exhaust. It sound similar. I used the purple power on my wife’s engine, good stuff.
Yes sir
Good job man you take pride on your work God bless. U got a new subscriber
Def reuse the stock gaskets. BBKs leak like crazy
thats amazing lol same mustang color as mine and wheels as well
dope. good stuff man, keep it up
So PV blaster will help get the bolts out? plan on tackling this by myself next month but I'll have access to a lift
Yes PB blaster worked for me.
I enjoyed this video, good job bro
i have some dna motoing headers and their bascally the same as the bbk ones but their not ceramic coated. their just stainless steel.
Do you know if a check engine light came on after installing ? After putting them on I drove them for 30 miles then it came on
That I am not sure about, the owner said he was getting it tuned, so I assume it was tuned and should not have any check engine lights.
Shorty headers still retain stock cats. long tube headers gets rid of stock primary cats. So installing bbk shorty headers will NOT throw any CEL's.
Did the customer get any check engine light from this? I want to do the same thing with the x pipe. Does it throw codes?
no
Did you had to tune your v6 for these headers?
how much does this labor costs?
How much did you charge you customer to do this for them?
$75/hour

Hey, could you provide a list of the tools you used. And approximately how long it took for you to complete?

And the tool u used to get the rust off the bolt and the tool to hold the bolt in place …. That’s couple more hundred dollars right there lol

hey boss how did you manage to get the headers connect to the down pipe
Same way I disconnected them. Gotta have a swivel socket set and long extensions.
@@NikGarage my problem is my down pipe is in the way for my headers to connect to the engine , did you connect to down pipe first ?
What's the name of what the mustang lifts friend
Car ramps
What size sockets are those bolts on the headers
14mm I believe
@@NikGarage its 13mm
Use oem gaskets bro
Why was there smoke coming up by the left rear of the engine?
Smoke was from all that PB blaster burning off.
