- Just installed the BBK Long Tube Headers and BBK Off Road X-Pipe. These are the mods that I had before the install: C&L Cold Air Intake, Bama 93 Custom Tune, Roush Axle Back Exhaust. The install is very easy however the only issue I came across was the fact that BBK sent me the wrong O2 Sensor Extensions. They told me that no one makes them yet and I also found in the forums people that were complaining about the same thing. The fix they suggested was to solder an extension that is exactly what I did and it worked perfectly. This setup is EXTREMELY loud and I think the Roush has alot to do with it. It was already a little drony at 3000RPM before the LTs and now its even more. I am going to get a dyno with this setup and then im going to slap on the stock exhaust to see how it sounds. I will post videos for those 2 things for sure. I also just received the Bama Custom Tune that took the long tube headers into account and WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Highly recommend BBK and OR X-Pipe with the Bama Tune by American Muscle...

I own a 14 also. but............... v6..... with a procharger....... and nitrous. lol. off the bottle. 474rwhp. with idk. haven't had the balz yet. stock block and a laundry list of mods. car looks like a stock baseline v6. I surprise a lot. if your ever in the Columbus Ohio area pm me.

This is how all exhaust sound clips should be. Not just parked and revving the engine. Sounds ballsy man.
Holy hate-fest. Show some respect for these new V6's. They're NOTHING like the sixxers of old. Someone said, "back in the day, a guy wouldn't be caught dead buying a V6". Well, that's because, back in the day, V6 Stangs could barley keep up with your mom's minivan. Fast forward to the new 3.7. Now, we're (3.7 owners) able to keep up with and beat older GT's. Sure, we don't sound as throaty as the V8. But, I'm not complaining. As long as I'm taking a V8 owner's ego down a notch. Which, I've done four times (3 New Edge GT's and an 07). Sure, if I could have afforded it, I'd have gotten the 5.0. But, I'm more than happy with my V6. Besides, despite the haters, these can hold a buttload of power. Look it up. These V6's are hitting impressive 1/4 times. A true Mustang enthusiast doesn't judge a Mustang based on it engine size. They look at a Mustang (V6 OR V8) and say, "that guy knows what's up".
😂 People think my 3.8 already sounds like an 8 (Custom made X-pype, dual 2.25 piping, 40 Series Flows, Hi-Flow Pypes cats, 3" tips I cut\angled to the body. When I get my LT Headers on, MAN! It's going to be BEAST!!
boosted my 6 and let me tell ya, ive dunked on a few tuned s550 v8s.
Yeah these V6's aint no joke, i've beaten a couple of GT's myself in my 2014 Mustang CVS.i have the Performance/Pony package, Premium ed. getting ready to slap them Super 40's Flowmaster on her 2morrow 2.5 in 3 out and add some bbk's .and cut a few other things to reduce some weight.thinking about adding that bama tune since im already running 93 anyway.

This ford 3.7 and Infiniti G35-37 are the best sounding v6 on the market today . And to get close to 300 horses with a minor bolt on? That was a v8 territory back a few years ago. People don't realized how quick these 3.7 stangs are .
If you're planning on installing these yourself, you're in for a hell of a day! I just installed mine yesterday and it was the biggest pain in the ass, I spent the entire day doing them. It was the most frustrating thing I ever had to do. I spent almost 8 hours doing them. Almost 5 to remove the stock manifolds and x pipe and the other 3 to install the new long tube and off road x. The hardest part was getting these small bolts off the stock manifold from under the car because they were so tight and there was very very little room for your hand a wrench to fit. I'm intensely sore today from everything but it was all worth it. My car now sounds monstrous and I love it. Just a heads up, you're gonna need a lot of patience for this if you plan on doing it yourself.

***** I was willing to buy a brand new 2015 Honda civic SI (with the 205HP V-tech motor) i knew i needed a car and was most interested in a mustang. i walked on a deal where they gave me 1.9% and $1500 off (a new car). just because i wanted a 2013 Mustang V6 manual. but as of writing this (July 6 2015) ford has a hold on them. offical ford dealers are not allowed to sell ANY 2005-2014 mustangs new or used due to the airbag problems.
Yeah i think so. i am waiting because i would bet that all the prices on the cars would easily drop by 2k since there would be a massive influx of them on the market.
After some digging though the fixes would start coming around july15th. but it affects every auto maker since they all use takata airbags.
+Brad the og I agree. Getting a V6 manual myself, brand new as my first car. I don't want to pay too much for gas and here in NJ there's no roads to truly let the car open up bc of rush hour traffic at my college campus so the V6 has more than enough power for me.
I have been a GT owner for many years. 94 and 95 (5.0)
97,98,99 (4.7) All of them were stick with BBK headers, off road x pipes and Flowmasters,cold air intake,ported TB,underdrive pulleys. Yeah they ran and sounded awesome. But they sure as hell killed me at the pump here in CA.
2 weeks ago I was in my 99 GT and was flying down the 14 and this 2014 came behind me and I pulled away. Next thing I knew my ass was handed to me. It wasn't a GT. It was a v6 and that day I never looked at the 2011 to present v6 the same again. In fact I went and bought a 2014 v6 6spd performance package last Sunday. Does it have the same rubble as a GT? No! But it sure can rip up a GT of yesteryear in a heartbeat. And yes I know how to drive. I have owned a few cars, even Italian. All you haters, hate all you want. I have pictures to back up all but the highway 14 incident of what I am saying. I still have my 99 Gt as well. All you 2011-present v6 owners, screw what all these GT haters think or say!!

Muffler delete, with the aid of a K&N, will solve that problem.

I've got to say the V6 is way more impressive than I thought. I tend to follow more of the old school thinking where it was 'lolv6' but man it sounds pretty good and the HP numbers are impressive. If I ever get one I'll still probably try to get a V8 but if I could only afford the 6 I think i'd still be very happy. Oh and your neighbors probably do hate you but its all good!

I had a 2007 v6 and loved it. Awesome car. I now have a 2010 GT. I personally like the v8s better even after test driving one of the new v6s. But that is just my personal preference. This guys car looks and performs great so give him props. To each to their own. Respect to anyone modding their car.

0-60 in 5.1 seconds out of an N/A V6 is by no means a "girl's car". The V6 is powerful, handles great, gets great MPGs and is a better suit for daily driving. Don't trash other people's cars, 300HP is, in all honesty, more power than a street car needs. If you want more power, than it's going to be built, and when cars are built, you CANNOT compare the two. Amazing things have been made out of 100hp I4 motors, this V6 will definitely be a success.

With the revamping of the v6 mustang in 2011, a lot of people find that they no longer need a v8 in their mustang. You can still get a 305hp car, while maintaining respectable gas prices and insurance rates, not to mention that the v6 model is significantly cheaper than the GT anyway. Some might argue that to be a real mustang driver/enthusiast you have to have a v8, but these days many people find that the v6 is plenty car for them.
randomocityvideos i agree, i own a v6. Great on gas, low insurance rates. The best decision i made, did i mention that i have a magnaflow competition catback installed. Im constantly modding it. Plus people always say "thats a bad ass car, is it a v8"? No, but i bet you i can beat a v8 easily. 😎

I have a 2011 yellow blaze v6 and I have never lost to an 05-10 GT...These are some awesome v6's....plus I get over 38mpg with my upgrades on the highway.

It always amazes me how similar the Ford 3.7 and the Nissan VQ 3.5/3.7 sound. They're close to identical. Still, there's something not right about a Mustang sounding like a 350z. 350z's are great cars, don't get me wrong... but a Mustang should sound muscular and mean.
It thought the same thing it sounds almost exactly as a vq35 with a pretty high flow exhaust or straight piped.
this sound would be perfect in a car like a mazda rx8, hmmm i smell a swap idea. vq sounds amazing but doesn't really suit the look of a mustang, but sounds great as far as car sounds go.

Hey Bro, I know it's an old video but I have problems with BBK long tube headers and their o2 extensions. It's throwing codes for the upstream sensors about negative wiring. I know that their extensions are sometimes shitty but just wanted to ask, did you have any problems after you soldered the wires? Any check engine light or errors?
Sounds horrible. In my opinion is you go with this set up for power gains I would go with a muffler set up to keep it quite with less rasp.

+Mel Amador Ive seen the v6s with take off GT catbacks and it makes the V6 sound perfect, all the aftermarket catbacks for the V6 sound like pure crap. Except maybe the gibson catback but still to loud for my taste for a V6. Id rathet keep the V6 suttle and make it quick and handle well.
I think its hilarious that half the comments here are people telling this guy he wasted his money when he has a V6 with pretty minimal mods making 300whp. That will run with a DOHC Mach 1. Plus, he has a new car with a great chassis that is going to outhandle the vast majority of Mustangs previous to it. That is in addition to it having a better weight ratio with the lighter engine up front.
That dyno is messed up because ive seen 3.7l's with the same mods plus a real tune,coil pack, and throttle body make 305hp

The 4.6 in the 2005-2010 gt is awesome and makes more torque than the 11 and up v6. They also dont sound like fart cans and you get more hp from bolt-ons on the 4.6 than you do for the 3.7.
yeah duh it makes more torque it has two more cylinders and its a solid engine in the way that its pretty reliable and everything but 300hp from a v8 is just pathetic especially for a sports car or whatever you wanna call it and yes of course it has more bolt ons because its been out for 6 more years than the new v6...
That’s sounds awesome, I own a 2009 4 liter six banger with shortys, high flow cats, x pipe and straight pipe back. Really jealous of the power numbers you can achieve with the 3.7s as 4.0s are a pain in the ass to get power out of but hopefully ported heads and cams will help me get there.

V6? Lighter than V8, 300hp, sounds great with right exhaust system ( higher pitch, a bit Ferrarish) better weight ditribution (lighter, set back more), better handling. Best of all not everybody has one.

Picking up the wife a stang, she had the choice between the v6 pony package and the GT. After weeks of pondering she decided to pick the v6 and throw exhaust etc on. It sure sounds aggressive but maybe it's a bit on the loud side and a lot of it has to do with the axle back/exhaust set up you have. Just replace the offroad xpipe with a catted one and the car will sound a lot less raspy and will add more rumble to it.
I bought a candy apple mustang v6 o11 but the previous owner put header flowmaster aftermarket headlights gt body kit & rims and now I put a intake Eleanor grill and I'm planing to get some rear louvers is goin look awesome 😸

i came into this video expecting poop. i left amazed at how far ford has come and you at making that v6 sick sounding and badass. nice job man!
BBK has a video up where they have a CAI, throttle body, headers and the x-pipe installed. The difference for them between the catted and off-road version was 8 hp and 7 torque.
I get 37 mpg with my 2011 V6 on the highway with my 93 race tune and Steeda CAI. Really happy with the performance as well. GT are great if you don't care about mpg and can afford them. I'm almost done with undergraduate degree...Highly recommend the V6 for the price.
so assuming you had check engine lights because of the no cats.. the tune you got cleared the code and making it pass emissions right? also did you have an EGR system on those headers? or was it blocked off?

While I definitely like the sound before the headers, I must say the headers really give it some character and some base. The raspiness isn’t as misplaced as some would say.
Dude the Grand National was a v6 and it destroyed everything in its path in the 80's and 90's, nothing could touch it and still today I bet it could beat a ton of cars. 12 seconds 1/4 with just very few mods I'll take it. Bigger turbo and close to 9 seconds.

Yeah, the Ford 3.7 sounds almost identical to a VQ35/37. One of the best-sounding V6s ever, IMO.
V6 is still faster and more sporty than a majority of street cars out now.

i couldn't agree more that a v8 responds better to mods. however, I have a 2012 v6 mustang and its the first v6 I've owned. Ive got a 72 Chevelle with a 350 . and a 2000 toyota tundra with a 4.7 v8 that got plenty of mods under the hood too. Now I've got a car that can do a quarter mile at just over 13 sec. and still drive anywhere knowing that i'm getting 30 mpg on the highway. Your argument for getting the v8 is probably the best one I've heard. I just have no use for another gas guzzler

The V6s are speed limited to 115-120mph from the factory. With the limiter removed, it will pin the speedo at 160mph.

Same setup as my v8 vette, ur twice as loud haha! That mustang really does have one of the best sounding v6's on the market today and there's no denying 300+ horses! If I were "forced" to switch to one of these from my vette I don't think I'd be too unhappy haha.
