- It's Stashin' with Stephanie time, when we take a brand new modern fabric line and create a pattern inspired by it to bust your stash. Last month we went super simple for our pattern, so this month we're going to challenge you a bit with a Stargazer, a NO Y-seam 60-degree triangle and diamond block.
I love working with 60-degree rulers. The blocks always look super complicated, but are actually pretty simple once you break it down. I go over all the steps in the video and show you how to get your points absolutely perfect so you can make this fun quilt at home.
This month we are working with Perennial by Sarah Golden for Andover Fabrics. I love the earthly hues with a modern twist. I also love the block print flowers and plants, because I have just as big of an addiction to plants as fabric and quilting.
The mix of light, medium and dark prints also works perfectly to create flower centers, petals and leaves.
Stargazer is our latest fat quarter-friendly release that is part of the Stashin' with Stephanie subscription club. The pattern is free to all members. Members also get 12 fat quarters for $29.99 plus shipping each month, and exclusive coupons to save $10 off a $20 purchase or 25% off the purchase of additional fabric so they can make a bigger quilt and purchase finishing kits to complete the quilt.

This is a beautiful line of fabric.....LOVE it
Beautiful quilt and Great instructions. Thanks
You really hit it out of the ballpark this month! I have really been enjoying my stashin membership!! I also want to thank you because since i have started ironing my seams open my accuracy has really improved
Whata wonderful pattern for this fabric! Looking great post pregnancy. Like the black fabrics in this line. Good luck learning at home. I run a preschool. It's been super challenging, but sewing has kept me sane!
Thank you so much! Gardening has kept me sane ... and sewing ... and knitting ... basically all things creative. Stay safe with all those little ones!
Stephanie! This is one of my favorite videos you’ve done. I can see the joy in your face for this fabric and the pattern and your efforts to make these videos. Thank you for the excellent quality and teaching. I am going to sign up for the monthly subscription!
I am glad you like it! Thanks for joining.
you R sew right that is a beautiful line of fabrics. The quilt pattern is lovely as well. I just want to send a congratulations to you for the 'first' fabric line. I'm sure that the modern guys and gals out there will be bombarding you for those lovelies, and I'm thinking you are already working diligently on the next production. Last, but not least; you look marvelous darling.
Lovely pattern! Thank you for your wonderful instructions.
Love the quilt
Love your instructions as always. Beautiful quilt!
Love the fabric. I have to glue baste my joins. Whenever I try and pin, my seams just dont match up.
Stephanie I really love the fabric from this video but I can’t tell if it’s part of the monthly fat quarter fabric. I’d like both bundles but I also want to join the club. Help!!! Not sure how to get everything I’m looking for but not get duplicates either. Thx
Sandi - That’s awesome! This is a great line.
You can buy both bundles and the black at this link and get no duplicates, or just get the kit and get everything: shop.quiltaddictsanonymous.com/product-category/fabric/andover/perennial-by-sarah-golden/?orderby=date You can join the club at this link: shop.quiltaddictsanonymous.com/product/stashin-with-stephanie-2/
Why not offset the strips a little bit when you sew them together to make sure you don’t hit the selvedge when you’re cutting the strip sets?
Hi Maren! There's plenty of fabric as long as you cut correctly and use the right ruler, so always be sure you are using the correct ruler for your project!
Soooo pretty! I have a few amazing FQ bundles from free spirit. I'd like to buy your pattern & that ruler, but how can I be sure the selvage on my fqs will be small enough? I have been hoarding this fabric for the perfect project and this could be it! 😁 Can you tell me how long the FQ should be without the selvage so I can make sure?
You need 21.5 inches of space. It is OK if a little bit goes in the selvage. The seam allowance will hide about 3/8 inch.
Love the video! The coupon doesn't seem to be working for that pattern.
We fixed it! You should be good now.
Absolutely beautiful!!! I’m definitely a beginner so I need to sharpen my skills before I tackle this one! But WOW 🤩!! Love it and the colors!! 🥰❤️And your children come first!!! All of us will be ok! One day at a time Jesus!! 🙏🙏🥰♥️❤️
I wanted to make a king size in this material and pattern? Do you have a pattern for that and fabric bundles?
The pattern does have multiple sizes including King. We do still currently have Perennial bundles. You would need three of the Stashin' bundles found here: shop.quiltaddictsanonymous.com/?term=&s=perennial&post_type=product&taxonomy=product_cat
And 4 yards of background found here: shop.quiltaddictsanonymous.com/product/century-solids-oyster-from-andover-fabrics-background-for-stargazer/
Hi Stephanie! I purchased your book because I wanted to make this quilt & a few more from the book. But the pattern in the book has the pieces cut at diamonds, so the inner flower is one color. Where can I get the measurements for making the flowers the way you are in this video?
Thanks so much for purchasing the book! Unfortunately this pattern is not included in it, as you know, and the measurements are quite different since there are different types of pieces that make up the star. This pattern can be purchased on its own at this link: shop.quiltaddictsanonymous.com/product/stargazer-pdf-download/
@@QuiltAddictsAnonymous Oh, I didn’t know they were different patterns. In the video where you were talking about the book you said that stargazer was in it. So I purchased it. It was never mentioned that the stargazer you did in this video was a different pattern than the stargazer pattern in the book. 😔
Starburst is in the book. I don’t believe we mentioned the book in this video because it wasn’t out yet.
@@QuiltAddictsAnonymous I know. You mentioned it in the video you did about the book. In that video you said stargazer was in the book. I assumed it was the same stargazer. I didn’t know you had 2 different patterns called stargazer.
@@hamsuf I am sorry you were confused, but the quilt we featured in the book video was Starburst, not Stargazer. The setting is similar, but the block make up is different. We start talking about it at 16:49 in the book video and clearly say the title. You can watch here: ua-cam.com/video/rV5LEp1dsWc/v-deo.html
How much is the bundle?
Bundles are $39.99 and can be found here shop.quiltaddictsanonymous.com/?term=&s=perennial&post_type=product&taxonomy=product_cat
Those are 50s colors
that whole line has a 1950s vibe
Can you send patterns by mail rather then emails.
Cheers shay
We offer some patterns as printed patterns, but this one is just available as a PDF.
I like the design but not the colors.
That is the beauty of quilting patterns. You can make the pattern in whatever colors you want. The quilt police won’t stop you.
