Honestly, Toothless and the other dragons do look amazing in this style. And I'm glad to see Gerard Butler return as Stoick is fantastic. I'm cautiously optimistic.
For real tho, there's no difference. I'm happy that people are liking the trailer, but my only issues are like... They seem they're doing frame by frame identical, just copypaste, and that the costumes looks a little like lowcost cosplays but, let's give it a chance 😅
@@overhalled You're right but that's something that will always happens with this adaptations, can't make everyone happy. It’s very original and isn’t the typical haunted house or slasher trope.
Honestly the animation for the Dragons series is already pretty excellent it just remains to be seen whether the actors can reproduce the charm of the original or build on it to produce something amazing. Let’s this be an adaptation on the level of Wicked and not Lion King, please!
Toothless looks so good ❤. If I had a nickel for anytime a cartoon character like Stitch and Toothless is translated beautifully to live-action, I get two nickels.
This movie really seems like future animators reopened the How To Train Your Dragon animation files and re-rendered them to be at max quality. This is the first live action remake that doesn't feel transformative visually. Just looks brought to life. Pumped!
@TheMilkman000 The reason would mainly be to reintroduce the property to a new audience in a way that reignites the fandom and profits ultimately. A more optimistic view is that there is a large enough audience of people who struggle to connect as intensely with animation and this story is strong enough that all they feel the need to change is the medium. It could also just be argued that being art simply changing the medium is enough to warrant it's creation. But also this is a teaser I don't believe they planned on releasing just yet so maybe it will be more transformative than it looks. Either way I'm here for more HTTYD cinematic experiences
Original writer, Original Director, Original Composer, and Gerard Butler back as Stoic. In a time where we scoff at live action remakes, this will be a 10/10 guaranteed.
"Why should we watch this movie if we've already seen the animated?" Live action dragons that look like they could exist in our world. That's it. Dragons baby. If there's a dragon? Gimme the popcorn.
This looks like they took the animated move and just put in real people in place of the animated human characters. Everything else looks like the exact same thing except the animated version looks better.
1. Harlem Nights -Eddie Murphy 2. Bait-Jamie Foxx 3. American Gangster Denzel Washington 4. Four Brothers- Mark walberg 5. Ransom- Mel Gibson 6. Kiss the Girls- Morgan Freeman 7. Money Talks- Chris Tucker 8. Fallen-Denzel Washington 9. Life Eddie Murphy 10. Bad Boys- Will Smith
I never got the chance to see the first HTTYD in theaters because the trailers for it weren't that appealing, so it wasn't until October 16, 2010 that my parents rented it from Blockbuster...and thus began my obsession with the best franchise ever created in cinema history (at least, in my opinion).
I am so excited for this Achara, it is crazy, Toothless looks fantastic! I will say the yes are a little more green then the animation, but it looks like a shot for shot remake, and honestly I'm here for it! Of course I love the originals but I hope this sticks the landing! Also Hiccup sounds correct and I agree that he is trying hard but with more footage hopefully he wins me over! Looks promising though! Love you Achara, and even the music sounded so good and I hope John Powell returns to do the score!

Mason is a good actor, I haven’t seen his comedic chops but he’s been great in everything I’ve seen him in. If you like horror movies check out the Black Phone. He’s the star and it’s probably the most original horror movie in decades. Super underrated
This movie will be sold on the expressions of the dragons, if they can give these dragons personalities it will sell itself. I'm here for it because this animated trilogy is one of my favorite complete no fail franchises.

i'm pretty sure that the Director himself said The live-action How to Train Your Dragon won't replicate the animated movie in every detail. It will keep the core story but offer a fresh take, with some key scenes from the original and new creative elements added .
I see a lot of people complaining that it seems to follow the original shot for shot but that's exactly what I want to see in these remakes. A remake isn't the place to change up the story or inject your creativity, if that's your goal then you should create your own story in that universe from scratch.
@@thetechnosaiyan I think a remaster would have to be done in the same medium right? A switch from animated to live action is a big enough change that I don't think you can call it a remaster. I feel like they made this to revive the franchise for the new theme park land their building for Epic Universe which opens a month before this comes out. It’ll help it stay relevant for years to come. The director also said it’s going to be a little different from the original.
