@@DiggitySlice I understand why you left "bruh" replying to @lars2894, because it does read as a contradiction. This show was pretty much one of the most iconic sitcoms on TV. It has iconic quotes, funny moments, and it can be relatable at times. My favorite character was always Chandler since his personality and sarcasm was always top notch. R.I.P. Matthew Perry

Growing up in NY in the 90's, we ALL wanted this life. Living with all of our friends in our 20's, trying to figure out life. Then you realize it's a TV show and outside of Chandler and Ross...none of these apartments would be affordable in Manhattan with the jobs they had hahah They kinda cover their tracks in the future by saying that Monica got her apartment from her grandmother and it was under rent control (not really much of a spoiler) but they were paying like $400 a month total for a 2 bedroom with a balcony. Even in the 90's, that place is $4,000+ a month.

David Schwimmer's "Ross Gellor" is perhaps one of the best realized physical comedy characters ever created on screen. He only gets better with each season. Right now, Chandler will be the stand out. But by about S3, Ross's lines become memes LOL! Iconic
FRIENDS is the last great sitcom comedy. The industry has evolved past these type of comedy sitcoms (for now) so nothing they have made since has come close to rivaling the epic love the entire world had for FRIENDS during its height. At ten years, they cancelled it because the actors were tired. The show was still rated number one every week until its last.

EDIT: OMG I forgot about them giving the baby two names, neither of them Ross's. Like WTF. Carol and HER AFFAIR PARTNER have the audacity to always act like Ross is the problem. Like Ross is wrong for saying the name should be up to Carol and him and have NOTHING to do with Susan. If she had cheated with another man, this would not be forced on us like this. It irks the shit out of me.

So the maintenance man, Krieger, is responsible for starting the show. If he hadn't told Rachel where Monica probably was, then she might never have met back up with Monica, Ross, and the gang. Thus, no show.
You should continue with the rest, it just keeps getting better the more you get to know all the characters. Yes to more Friends! It is definitely dated in a lot of aspects but it was also pretty groundbreaking in a lot of ways. You can still point out the problematic stuff while loving the show. It's just such a comfort show that you can watch over and over again. I cannot count how many times I've watched it through all 10 seasons. The characters are also all relatable in their own way and they have their good and bad qualities. Chandler was always my favourite though. Matthew Perry was so funny and improvised about half of his lines throughout the series. Rest in Power ❤ That scene at the OBGYN is so funny 😂 However, Susan and Carol were being so unreasonable with the last name. I don't find anything wrong with Susan's name being involved because DNA isn't everything and she will also be the mother. But that Ross the FATHER shouldn’t have his name is absurd! Also, lesbian or not, Carol DID cheat on Ross, as it was heavily implied she and Susan had something going on while she and Ross were still married. If she had cheated with a guy even more people would understand why he's so hurt. As for Rachel, regardless of her feelings for Barry or the fact that she left him at the altar, I would be upset if my best friend hooked up with my ex on what was supposed to be OUR HONEYMOON. Btw, it's so crazy how smoking was just allowed indoors back then (even up until 10-15 years ago). Also, I know Chandler did that on purpose to distract them, but none of that is hardly comparable to smoking since some of it is not something one can control (like the laugh as you mentioned) or something that can harm someone else. If you don't care about your own health that's sad but still your choice. However, second hand smoke is extremely harmful so it's not even just about YOUR health. Fun facts: The show went from being called "Insomnia Café" to "Friends Like Us" to "Six of One" and finally "Friends". Also, this episode has three alternate titles to "Pilot": "The One Where It All Began", "The First One" and "The One Where Monica Gets a Roommate". David Schwimmer was first to be cast. The writers had remembered him from when he auditioned for an earlier pilot of theirs; they had written the part of Ross with him in mind. At the time, Courteney Cox was the most well-known of the six main actors. She was being considered for Rachel when she read the script and thought she was a better fit for Monica. At the same time, Jennifer Aniston read for the part of Rachel after initially being considered for Monica. Vince Vaughn (who coincidentally would later date Jennifer) auditioned for Joey. Lisa Kudrow won the role of Phoebe because the producers liked her as Ursula, a waitress in Mad About You. Jane Lynch also auditioned for the role. Matthew Perry had previously worked with the writers and auditioned because he identified with the character of Chandler. He read for the role near the end of the casting period and got it in under a week. Once all of them had been cast, James Burrows, the director of the pilot, decided to take them to Las Vegas for dinner to allow them to bond and get to know each other before filming began. NBC executives were worried that the content of the show was too racy and that the audience would dislike Monica for sleeping with Paul the Wine Guy on the first date. After the taping of the pilot, the studio audience was given a questionnaire by NBC and the survey results showed the audience didn't care. There was a live audience during the filming of every single episode. That's the laughs you hear. As an episode could take up to 5 hours to shoot in the studio, the producers hired a comedian to entertain the audience during set changes and breaks. The comedian would also "warm up" the audience before shooting continued. The golden frame around the peephole was originally a mirror which one of the crewmembers accidentally smashed. But because it still looked good they decided to leave it there. When Monica goes to get Ross his coffee, a very brief shot of Rachel can be seen passing the doors to the coffeehouse, presumably on her way to Monica's apartment. However, one must look very carefully to see this. At the end of the first episode, the plant on the table in Monica's apartment is dead, likely as a result of Joey and Chandler pouring coffee in it earlier. Matt LeBlanc had a fever and flu the first day of filming. He was at 102°F/39°C and had to use a variety of remedies. Jennifer Aniston had previously worked as a waitress when she was a struggling actress in her teens. Elliott Gould (Jack, Ross and Monica's dad) was married to Barbra Streisand. Goofs: When Paul the wine guy first comes to Monica's apartment, Phoebe is standing in the kitchen telling Rachel that she just pulled out four eyelashes. But in the very next shot, you can see her sitting in an armchair in the living room. In the extended DVD version there's a shot showing Phoebe walking to the chair. When Rachel gets half of the cookie from Ross, she breaks it in two. You can see Rachel playing with it but a few shots later it's in one piece again. You can see this just before she puts the cookie back on the plate WITHOUT EATING IT!!!

NBC had the 90s on lockdown. Seinfeld, Frasier, and Friends. I luvd the entire run of the Friends series. One of the rare TV shows which the finale ended nicely. I was a 90210 fan. Friends was the perfect segue to life about college graduates in NYC. RIP "Chandler Bing".
I remember watching the final episode on air my brothers and sisters all in one room quiet with no words what a day that was. Ive rewatched it several times, now that im grown i get annoyed at some of their actions lol but still love em
Growing up to now at one point or another all 3 of the male cast had a point of being my favorite. As an adult it’s settled on chandler being the most relatable to me personally. Especially using humor as a defense mechanism lol
You are one of the first people to acknowledge how jacked up Ross's situation is. Yes, its great that Carol is living in her truth, but she cheated AND only wants him involved in the baby's life in ways that are convenient for her and Susan. Just insult to injury. You're going to have a blast with this show.
I love love love Friends, I cant tell you how many times I've seen it and you are honestly the only person I know at least or have heard of who gives Ross any love. I like how much fun you already seem to be having with it. Your laugh by the way is so cute. Watch, get to know these characters and enjoy the journey. Welcome to Friends.
What a coincidence. Nick @ Nite JUST did a marathon of Friends for a month to celebrate the 30th anniversary and I decided to watch them all. I never understood the hype for show as I was ONLY 4 months old at the time until now. Just finished 2 weeks ago and I gotta say I understand it now! Its so funny! And by the end I actually got emotional despite the show being already over years ago! R.I.P. Mathew Perry. I was also binge watching for him! 🥀 Also if I was to rank all 6 my own personal ranking would be... Chandler. Joey. Phoebe. Monica. Rachael. And Ross.
Maybe Ross' kid grew up to be an actor, got a part as a villain in Star Trek (Strange New Worlds), and his uncle Chandler's comment proved prophetic...
Welcome to family. You can't see me, but I'll be mouthing every line of dialogue and getting angry at the cuts in your version. So happy to share their s with you, finally. If you don't get blown away by at least one aspect of this great show, I'll eat my shoe.
This is a great show. The first season has some serious growing pains. They really start to hit their stride in season 2 and 3. The characters grow to become some of the most well defined characters of the time with some of the most iconic moments in sitcom history. There is definitely a few storylines and jokes that did not age well but was considered acceptable in the time they released. With any show from a different period in time, the acknowledgment that elements did not age as a viewer makes all the difference in the world. The good outweighs the bad 9 times out of 10. It’s a great examination of friendship and how to growing up in your twenties and thirties is not as simple as you are told as a child. Enjoy.
I'd never seen a full episode of this show, either! I was a full grown adult when it came out, and completely agreed with many stand-up comic's perspective: They live in NYC, but they have no black friends? No Puerto Rican friends? They can have a monkey, but no black friends? Hard pass. However, seeing these first 3 (nearly) full episodes w/Kristin, I enjoyed it - but must admit the best thing about it is Kristin's laugh and comments. PLEASE don't censor yourself, Kristin! The things you say are necessary as the added spice.
I can't help but feel you are going to be looking at guys' fingers now. LOL!! This is fun. Looking forward to seeing your reactions to the episodes to come.

As someone who's only seen random episodes of this show and shorts all the time I will tell you that I will watch this whole show on this channel this way if you continue with this series
Kris's reactions are more realistic and authentic when she is alone. They don't feel so "showy" or severely exaggerated, as in other viewings with a partner, where she seems to attempt to impress with random tangent stories. This one was a pretty decent one here. Although she did tangent off-screen, it was at the end, not "during" the actual show playing.

Rest in Power ❤
That scene at the OBGYN is so funny 😂 However, Susan and Carol were being so unreasonable with the last name.
Nice to revisit this with you, Kristen. I don't even remember the first time I ever saw the episodes and much less how I reacted.

Friends, back when our boxsets were VHS TAPES😂. Took up soooo much room
Someone from the team should do Seinfeld simultaneously.
One might say, Seinmultaneously.
Seinfeldtaneously?
She should watch Schitt's Creek even if only because she looks just like Annie Murphy 😭 (no, it's actually a great show)
down the rabbit hole!!! one of the greatest shows ever, but you are in for a wild ride
matthew perry had the best line deliveries!!!! Hope you enjoy. it's one of my favorite shows!!!!
What in the hell ??? Friends reaction are so rare i never normaly comment but this is SICK ! (in a good way)
No one sees them self in Ross, so you’re in good company
Growing up to now at one point or another all 3 of the male cast had a point of being my favorite. As an adult it’s settled on chandler being the most relatable to me personally. Especially using humor as a defense mechanism lol
You are one of the first people to acknowledge how jacked up Ross's situation is. Yes, its great that Carol is living in her truth, but she cheated AND only wants him involved in the baby's life in ways that are convenient for her and Susan. Just insult to injury.
You're going to have a blast with this show.
Agreed. Susan always gave Ross a hard time, rubbing his face in the fact she was with Carol now instead of him.
I hope your enjoy your journey watching Friends! I started watching it because it is my mom’s favorite show as well!
I love seeing people finding this show your life won't be the same welcome 🙂
Never seen anyone react so well to the first episode… normally people don’t like it
RIP Matthew Perry.
Also if I was to rank all 6 my own personal ranking would be...
Chandler.
Joey.
Phoebe.
Monica.
Rachael.
Enjoy.
After the reaction to episode 1, I immediately subscribed. It gets even way better. Enjoy the ride!
I've binge watched all seasons of Friends twice in my lifetime
I'd never seen a full episode of this show, either! I was a full grown adult when it came out, and completely agreed with many stand-up comic's perspective: They live in NYC, but they have no black friends? No Puerto Rican friends? They can have a monkey, but no black friends? Hard pass. However, seeing these first 3 (nearly) full episodes w/Kristin, I enjoyed it - but must admit the best thing about it is Kristin's laugh and comments. PLEASE don't censor yourself, Kristin! The things you say are necessary as the added spice.
FINALLY‼️ so how often are u going to be uploading is it by weekly or how?
I can't help but feel you are going to be looking at guys' fingers now. LOL!! This is fun. Looking forward to seeing your reactions to the episodes to come.
I’m here for witnessing your education into the greatness that *is* this show. 👏🏻🎉
Ross is the best, i really love his behavier. Always make me smile, and i laugh so hard on his "situations"
"I've had it with your cancer and your emphysema and all that... the bottom line is smoking is cool, you know it!"
I live by this phrase. I'll probably die by it too. But I love it.
Friends is my all time favorite sitcom so the fact that you’ll be watching this show is a real treat for me and makes my heart smile. I hope you thoroughly enjoy it!
Glad you got the chance to Friends! Be prepared for an adventure. If you haven't seen it, I'd also recommend watching That 70s Show.
Omg you guys are doing friends?! I never ring the bell for anything. You guys are officially my first bell
Kind of shocking that you've never seen full episodes of Friends, Kristen. It was one of the best and funniest sitcoms of the 90s
i am locked in for this. this is literally my fav show. i can’t wait for you to see everything. your reaction to iconic moments omg i cant wait
As someone who's only seen random episodes of this show and shorts all the time I will tell you that I will watch this whole show on this channel this way if you continue with this series
It's incredible how different some of these characters changed after the pilot episode.
My all time favorite show!! I can quote this show on the daily!! I enjoy your reaction and laughter! Looking forward to watching the rest with you!
Friends isn't the only thing that's adorable .
Loved this reaction
Love this! If only you reacted solo to Harry Potter too and not with your friend who spoils it all lol
Oh I am here for every episode!!! I've been subscribed to cinepals for years. But I'm a patreon after I found out that your doing my favorite show of all time!!!
I loveed your reaction. I am not normally into reactions to episodic shows but the exception to that is Friends, Big Bang Theory, and Firefly. Please keep going. I always like your enthusiasm. Can’t wait for your next Harry Potter.
How have you not watched this? I was born after the show ended and I've watched it entirely. Anyway, I hope you have a great time watching the show!
