You missed the end credits. John goes to Chaz grave and leaves memento..only to see him on top of tombstone as angel and John smiles. Yes Keanu Reeves is amazing in this and I am glad it is getting sequel. Keanu is not just amazing actor but also a good humble man. Everyone who works with him says how down to earth and kind he is.
For as utterly scary and powerful as Lucifer is in the movie, it's not every day you get to see Satan/Lucifer not only as a NEUTRAL character, but ultimately the person who saves the day. I will often prefer Tom Ellis in most scenes, but Peter Storemare is absolutely PERFECT for this scenario. The fact that Storemare's off-hand line of "Busy, busy, busy....I need a vacation" became the entire plot of the "Lucifer" television series is just a great easter egg in itself.
I've never clicked so fast in my life. This is one of my favorite movies of all time. I heard they're trying to get a 2nd made finally. What a treat this is!
The layers to this woman are endless the more i watch her the more and more she is becoming 1 of my most favorite people on the planet l absolutely adore her❤❤❤❤
I love everyone reacting to Constantine, their so fun to watch. Nobody ever notices Balthazar is Gavin Rossdale from Bush, and when she tries to get the elevator, she goes “going down”, and he says “not if I can help it” nobody gets the actual meaning of that 😉
Constantine is based on a DC Comics series called Hellblazer created by legendary Writer Alan Moore. John Constantine in the comics is actually blonde and British and was inspired by Sting. I’m glad the sequel is in the works
It got a LOT of shit when it came out for being crap. I, for one, personally thoroughly enjoyed it, and now that people are finally looking back, it's getting the respect it deserves.
@@patriciabusch4599 yeah, the comic fans hated it because they are totally different. i started to read the comic after watching the movie because i like it so much, and i was confused, did i read the wrong comic? because comic Constantine is so different. So yeah, i can undestand why the fans hated the movie
I was 23 years-old when Constantine came out. I knew nothing about the character when I and my girlfriend at the time saw this in the theaters. It became one of my favorite films of the 2000s. It was also the first time I ever saw Shia Lebeouf in a film.
John Constantine is actually Keanu's favorite role and he always wanted a sequel. We probably will never get one but it will always be one of my favorite film of all time
It seems as though everyone is on board to do a sequel. And Warner Brothers, even confirmed that a sequel is in the works. Will it happen I don’t know, but it seems like there is a pretty good chance it will.
This is the one movie that Keanu wants to work on again. He has been trying for years to get a sequel done for Constantine. It looks like in 2024 he finally got the green light to make it happen and I believe it is in development. Hopefully
The "Holy Water??" line in the hospital near the end, is all that remains of Michelle Monaghans role in the movie after an entire part of the plot was written out. Her character Ellie was to be John's grilfriend and there was a whole story arc with him finding out her true nature...so when he says to the group that he will deport them "...every one of you", he is particularly addressing her in that scene...as in, hes not going to show her any different treatment because of their relationship. However, it was decided that the dynamic of John having a grilfriend didnt really work and that his character worked better as a brooding loner...hence why he also never goes beyond flirty with Angela.
Not really a GF, but more of a Satanic Bootycall lol He KNEW exactly what she was, but ultimately CHOSE to look the other way because of their situationship lol So him saying that line, obviously is shot to ALL of them, he does have SOME feelings. Which is why in a deleted scene too; John finds Her hiding under a desk, then lets her go..
The casting of Tilda Swinton as Gabriel is one of my favorite things about this movie. If you look at Renaissance era paintings of angels, she looks just like them.
Well, Keanu is such an awesome man I don't care about his "acting range" or lack thereof. And he has had more terrific roles in his long career than many master thespians could dream of.
the movie " The day the Earth stood still" is probably the ultimate most monotone no life no reason to be Keanu Reeves ever!!!! very good movie. your jump crazy spasms moments are off the chart miss!!🤣 sweet reaction
Keanu and Constantine were made for each other. This is the only character I've seen where I 100% believe him. He's not acting as Constantine, he IS Constantine. Favorite Keanu movie, hands down!
The pairing of the two of you need to now watch The Devil's Advocate together. Religion? Keanu Reeves? That movie is another one that uses both ingredients in a delicious recipe.
I'm happy you're watching this. It's one of the best in the genre ever produced with arguably one of if not the nicest person in Hollywood. Short list that one too so it seemingly turns out.
You should also know that John Constantine is a master of the dark arts not just an exorcist and thats why he can cast that spell to draw out the killer with the Rune tattooed onto his forearms.
You guys are my favorite reactors as a couple. Your actual discussions of the film are genuinely engaging and truly thoughtful. Usually, I’ll skip through reactor’s commentary as, quite often, it’s pretty shallow and simply an effort to “look informed”. I can’t help loving Kristin’s emotionality. I had three boys and always wanted a daughter. Vicarious living for me, you’re adorable (I’m sixty-four, don’t worry). Spot on regarding Tilda, her facial and physical portrayal of Gabriel was sooo well done. A movie ya’ll really might want to see with Keanu in a bit of a different role is, The Gift. It stars Kate Blanchett in the lead role and she does steal the show and give a fantastic performance. Last ‘beg’: Terri Gar passed this year and is in a quickly being forgotten art style film called, After Hours, with Griffin Dunne. You HAVE react to this. Very unrelated, one if those dark comedy, moody indie type films that the studio dudn’t know how to market and missed a chance to really get noticed. PLEASE consider it sometime, I promise you will love it and it is filled with nuance, characters and a subtle plot-with an unexpected ending. Kudos guys.
I love watching you two react together. You are like the Super Twins. Great reaction. This is such a fun movie and it incorporates so many different things in one movie.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! This is such an amazing movie and I think they were talking about doing a remake soon too but I haven't looked it up in a while now 😬
"If you're gonna go in, at least wear protection!" is my mantra as well. It's served me well over the years, and it's just the responsible thing to do. (28:30, lol)
You guys (well, guy and gal) make a great team up. This film is one of my all time favorites, and you made this watch very satisfying. Love your channel-keep 'em coming!
Balthazar was played by musician Gavin Rossdale. He's the former lead singer of the band Bush. He was also in an episode of Criminal Minds. Man's a good singer AND a good actor.
You two need to watch Legion!! So glad u liked this movie. It's one of my Keanu favs. A role only he can play like that and no one else like in The Matrix and like in John Wick!! I recommend you both watch Legion, a 2010 Action/Horror with Paul Bettany if u already haven't since u liked this!!
A Walk in the Clouds is one of Keanu's movies no one really talks about, and it's one of my faves along with The Lake House. I hope you guys check out the Lucifer series considering how much you liked this version of Luci.
I hate to admit it, but I rarely watch the end-of-reaction videos. But I absolutely loved hearing both of you talk about the spiritual side of the movie. Great inputs. "Gabriel's argument" at the film's end has stuck with me for years.
Nice. You two are my favourite. This movie is ridiculously underrated. Tons of lore, great mood and atmosphere, thoughtful pacing, great visuals and a great philosophical bent. Easily in my top 10 comic book movies of all time. And definitely the best Devil of all time in movies. I really hope you have the post credit scene...
My favorite guilty pleasure movie... It is really good. Peter Stormare is amazing as the Devil. And Keanu really makes it fun... Albeit a bit standard Keanu line delivery. I really look forward to the new one that Keanu is said to be involved with.
When I first heard about this movie, I never knew it was actually based on a DC comic. I just thought it was just a generic Keanu Reeves movie. But, since it got a cult following and was put on some lists of must-watch Keanu Reeves and DC movies, I guess what goes around comes around.
And now isv just see the sweetest most vulnerable I've ever seen kirsten" he's getting done dirty by a bug" when she said that every fiber of me that is a dad just wanted to wrap my arms around her to protect her
This is my favorite Keanu Reeves movie, I have watched this many times, and surprisingly I just watched it last weekend, so your reaction to Constantine came as a wonderful surprise. Chaz has become an angel afterall
It’s for the best
they didn't show the scene but they talked about it near the end of the video
I thought Chaz became the new gabriel?
Yeah they didn't show it in the edit, but they talked about that scene towards the end of their discussion.
This movie doesn't get talked about enough.
DC has the best comic book adaptations...
Constantine, Red, Red 2, V for Vendetta ❤
I used to fall asleep to this movie every night
I'm so glad they're currently trying to write a second one. Keanu spent decades trying to do another and now they're writing one.
Man, Constantine is so underrated and yet it is one of Keanu Reeve's best movies ever. I am glad we are getting a sequel to it finally!

Viggo Mortensen was a bone-chilling Lucifer in The Prophecy.

Flipping off Lucifer as you're going into Heaven is the ultimate troll move.
Last act of defiance
A holy flex
Plus if he succeeded would be ultimate bragging rights, flipped the devil and he couldn't do shit about it .
in the MP Book of ths movie, the subtext of that scene goes waaaay deeper than alotta ppl realize.

Can't wait for Keanu's 2nd Constantine installment
If he's really truly gonna do it. I am THERE!!
We need it! Tho he kinda is just Neo from the matrix very stoic just more asshole lol I felt anyway

Balthazar was played by Gavin Rossdale, who is lead singer of the band Bush. And he definitely did play pretty good villain, for not being an actor.
Came in looking for this!

You should react to him in Devi’s Advocate 1997.
I think Constantine's issue was that he didn't believe that he deserves redemption himself.
