Two tips: 1) If you are a local, take a day off and go mid week. Crowds are much lighter. Look up a crowd calendar for the park to inform your choice. 2) The fright fest event over the fall has light crowds during the morning on coasters, but becomes a zoo by 2 pm. The haunted attractions aren't worth it since they are an upcharge with long lines. Dedicated haunted houses or attractions are scarier, better put together, and not as crowded if you pick the right days.
Very much agree with everything said here! I just went this past weekend for the first time in over a decade and some thoughts- HOLY value. a ride lineup like that for 50 bucks a ticket is insane. Nitro and El Toro remain some of the best rides I've ever been on. I love the new additions of the bars scattered throughout, especially the new retro bar next to wonder woman. And as a theming guy I'm so happy with the new efforts to avoid the plopping-an-off-the-shelf-coaster-in-a-parking-lot feel. The queue and backstory of jersey devil was great! And the justice league dark ride really impressed me too! Not Universal level quite yet, but way better than I remember from my last visit. Some negatives- The food was horrific. Stale pretzels, overpriced school cafeteria chicken patties, I could go on. And how about a damn music loop update? It sounds untouched from 2010. Overall it was a great weekend!
For some reason when I went there were literally no lines. No wait for Ka, the longest line I waited in was probably joker ironically, El toro was only like 10 minutes as well.
Excellent review of my home park for the 40+ years I've been alive (NYC here). Your #1 and #2 coaster are so correct and your last-place coaster also equally correct and needs to go (the last time we rode it, after years of abstaining, our headaches were so awful, we vowed never again). Really great observations and assessments!
little off topic but you NEED to go to californias great america. it has such a good RMC raptor called railblazer. its one of the shorter RMC raptors but it packs a punch. another coaster you should try is gold striker and flight deck gold striker is a very fast GCI woodie when it is warmed up. and flight deck just makes you grey out maybe even black out on that first loop. its also the 2nd inverted coaster ever made so, you should try out those 3 someday.
I grew up going to this park every summer since middle school and yeah Nitro first is still the meta. It cuts the line time on kingda ka too because most people wait for KK first and then spread to the rest of the park. If you hit Nitro > KK then El Toro is a 20-45 minute wait on the busier days and 5-20 on the short wait days. I once rode Kingda Ka 23 times back to back on a school’s only day where we had 10am - 11:30pm. God bless and safe riding! 🕊
Funny thing, Batman The Ride was the FIRST rollercoaster that I ever rode. When I was younger like 10-16 I was always afraid that I would get sick if I rode any of these rides. I wasted like 6 years of my childhood for no reason. I now LOVE rollercoasters and my favorites so far there are NITRO, El Toro, and Batman. I have not been to the park in years so I have not tried Jersey Devil, Wonder Woman or Sky Screamer.
This was a badger of a video. Now that I've gotten over my fear of coasters (in no small part thanks to your video on it), I'll have to check these parks out!
This is one of the best parks in the nation for thrills no doubt. Kingda Ka is a phenomenal number one for me (the rush is so much fun) and rides like El Toro, Jersey Devil Coaster, Nitro, the non-Green Lantern B&Ms, Zumanjaro, and the many flat rides make this a truly cracked collection. The guest experience is also overall great for the top-notch operations and very nice staff. I love this place every time I go.
Hey we went yesterday (Tuesday 27th July) and we followed your suggestion for which rides to do and when and it was perfect. so thank you! Wasn't crowded so we went on a few rides several times. Superman was closed. My best was Nitro and Wonderwoman, then Kingda Ka. Thanks for the helpful content.
In my opinion, this is my favorite Six Flags park because the operations are excellent for me, the ride collection is stellar, & the soundtracks for Kingda Ka and Nitro are excellent.
Literally just watched his ranking every park in Florida video yesterday, and then a coastoons six flags great adventure review right afterwards. What are the chances. Btw your florida video was really good, and I loved you collaborating with all these other UA-camrs. I would love to see one ranking all the parks in CA, since it is my home state, or some other like Texas, but either way you've been making really great content, keep it up!😊
hot tip, if you go to six flags parks late, like a few hours before closing, they offer an evening flash pass bundle, generally $30 for 5 rides with almost no wait time. i've done this at discovery kingdom and magic mountain. the mid tier flash pass is the best value if you will be at the park for the entire day. the low tier makes absolutely no sense since for a little more you can reduce your wait times an additional 40% and the highest tier is just not worth almost double the mid tier.
This was my park growing up, You're completely right with how you can grow up with the rides and their intensity. Haven't gone since I was 12 though, Definitely need to go back soon and ride nitro and flash when that opens!
I visited this park mid week in early June. Longest line was 15 minutes (kingda ka) and most the day we were able to lap Nitro and El Toro without leaving the station. We got 15 rides on each, and several rides on everything else. It was my first visit and I will say the only thing missing is more shade!
Nice review! The additional of water availability would be nice - can you bring in an empty bottle, are there enough filling stations, etc. Always something I keep in mind when visiting places that require walking/standing around in the hot sun. Badger.
Get breakfast before, or dinner after. for quick food near, Wawa is right outside the park. I usually just get a snack and a drink to make it through the day
just went for the first time, slightly disappointed tbh. $45 parking, didn’t get el toro cuz it was closed all day, kingda ka didn’t open until 3 hours before park close but i will say it was amazing. ride operators moved very fast but one train on several coasters so those lines were longgg when coasters with two trains were walk ons. and i encountered the rudest lady i ever have at a theme park in the ticket booth
@@Coastoons agreed with that, however for the end of the list I would definitely do manta then kraken or just kraken to warm up for Mako as nothing really readies you for that hypercoaster drop lol 200ft is still 200ft, thanks!
I don’t know if this is new for 2024 but when I went to Great Adventure in early June they had signs with QR codes in front of every coaster and you could buy a single use flash pass for the ride. You selected what time you wanted to ride and once the time came they told you to hop in the flash pass line. The price varied depending on the ride. For Kingda Ka we paid 10 bucks a person. I wouldn’t recommend using it for more than 1 or 2 rides cause you’ll eventually be paying the same price as an actual flash pass but if you have one or two must ride attractions it was great. The line for Kingda Ka was 90 minutes without it and with it we waited 30-45 minutes.
One note - I was there today (!) and the passes are on your phone now, which is a problem because some rides don't allow phones, but they had like a little mini locker setup just big enough for your phone at those points. Also I had a whole priority plan that went to hell because the rides opened late and one by one due to some power issue and then a lot of rides were going up and down all through the day.
⚠️Personal tips for this park!⚠️ Go on a Friday all day. No I’m not kidding, everytime I went Friday in the summer it wasn’t too bad and was able to hit everything Do NOT get food here, it’s way too expensive, staff can get confusing (went with my family one time and they never got me my food, here to find they never even charged for my meal) just go right outside the park, there’s a Wawa right out on the strip GO THERE Hit Kingda Ka around early afternoon, usually get less wait time and hit El Toro in the evening.. it’s a night and day difference (and hit back, there’s a choke point in the front of the station, push to the back Buy an all day locker, it’s necessary with Kingda Ka, El Toro (kinda now) and Jersey devil speaking of.. Buy a flash pass for Jersey devil or hit it asap. At the time of writing it’s running 1 train and a small line can be 30 mins (you also get free ride lockers for using flash pass, don’t ask me why just there). Do Superman in the evening, should be a shorter line. Hope this helps with someone going!
Also my home park and growing up I didnt know how spoiled i was to have it as a home park. I still think the 06 season was the best season there was. Had rolling thunder and el toro. Batman and robin still ran sometimes and I will take Great American scream machine head pounding over green lantern ball crushing any day
When I was growing up, we had season passes. I easily second bee-lining straight for Nitro off the rip. I rode it 4 times in a row without getting off bc we were among the first in the park that day and ran.
Even tho I'm a season pass holder of cedar point and have gone so many times I still watch that vid normally. And I will definitely be watching this a lot too
Great adventure was my first six flags. It’s still my favorite I’ve been to so far. Nitro is still my favorite as it was my first tall coaster. I was wondering why nobody was in line for green lantern at first when I went. I knew why after I got off.
Badger. This is my home park too, I've been going since the late 80s. Did you ride GASM back in the day? I honestly miss that thing and Rolling Thunder. Also, I like Jersey Devil bc it's not too intense.
Magic Mountain is nicer... El Toro Feels like I'm getting ripped in half. Nitro's sneaky best is drop off the brake run. Standing coaster like Green Lantern....don't stand up when getting locked in. slouch a bit. Then when it locks you have ability to push with your feet to avoid crushing your friendlies
I've been on all 5 b&MS at this parks, all were amazing! Nitro had a 5 minute wait because of the 2 trains operating. It might be controversial but Nitro is just better than el toro. Green lantern though... It was good but it was my least favorite. My neck/back area started hurting. I kept the bicycle seat away from my privates. So, yeah the only ones I have left is Jersey Devil, Lil Devil, Kingda Ka, and Flash when it opens
A lot of this is outdated. Skyride is dead but should return hopefully if they buy a new one. The safari is not drive through anymore, it’s just trucks and the one inside the park opens on june 29th then weekends only Other than that, good vid
Good video, but there are couple incorrect statements and things I would like to add. In terms of food, it has changed quite a bit, and of the two locations you mentioned, Panda Express became Chop Six years ago, and is currently closed indefinitely, and Johnny Rockets is the inferior place to get most food compared to somewhere like FatBurger. Additionally, I would strongly suggest going with some of the BBQ options in the park, as places like the Jersey Devil BBQ and Best of the West have some of the highest and most consistently quality foods. In terms of rides, your assessments were pretty spot on, but I would like to add that Batman is running great this season, and is notably more comfortable than the likes of JDC, Medusa, and El Toro. I also believe that the Dark Knight is a surperior ride to Skull Mountain, and should be considered as a legitamte coaster, and the themeing should not be underhyped.
hmm I strongly disagree with your strategy on getting the most amount of rides in at least for this season. You should NOT go to Nitro first. Nearly every single ride except nitro currently has only 1 train running. The 3 times I went this month, Nitro had the smallest/no line cause they had two trains. The wait was at max, 5 minutes during the day. Jersey Devil and Superman on the other hand, has consistently had incredibly long lines and it's probably best to go to those first. Jersey Devil for example had a 2 hour wait during the day. El Toro just opened this week and I went on it so can't comment on the line for that (no line when i went) for sure but I imagine it would be super popular.
Bro came back from his dungeon finally for his monthly rent💀
Lol

4:32 The key to Skull Mtn is ride in the back car because then you get nice airtime on the drop with a very limited restraint.
Get breakfast before, or dinner after. for quick food near, Wawa is right outside the park. I usually just get a snack and a drink to make it through the day

2:54 except for the surf coaster!
I wrote Pipeline at SeaWorld Orlando like ten times when we visited and it’s my second favorite coaster over all!
Can you do a ride warmup guide on Sea World Orlando, I’m an enthusiast and I grew up in Sea World Orlando lol just want to see your take on it.
Journey to Atlantis -> Ice breaker -> manta -> anything else
@@Coastoons agreed with that, however for the end of the list I would definitely do manta then kraken or just kraken to warm up for Mako as nothing really readies you for that hypercoaster drop lol 200ft is still 200ft, thanks!
You should do this for most major parks in America. I want to see Hershey. I am going to Hershey this summer and I want to know everything

Pretty damn accurate. I would add that the line for Joker can be really long. Same for Superman if they are only running one train.
⚠️Personal tips for this park!⚠️

Medusa is on one car ops right now
badger video.
my dad been considering going here some day so this is a pretty video to keep a look out for! another coastoons banger.
You are the person who got me into coasters, and now I love them🎉
A new coasttoons post,let's go!!!!!
Already went once this year and I’m planning to go back at some point next week! Thanks for the review 👊🏾
“Rent’s due” head ahh
Bro your music choice is fire 🔥
Coastoons please upload. I need something to watch
Jersey Devil is top 1 in the park in the back row and seriously underrated
Background song selection is hard every time 💯
You Should Really Play Planet Coaster For A Video! It Would Be So Cool To See A Planet Coaster Video On Your Channel!😊👍
Even tho I'm a season pass holder of cedar point and have gone so many times I still watch that vid normally. And I will definitely be watching this a lot too

Bill collector got bro 😭
I went for my birthday last year and got to ride The Jersey Devil for the first time in the first seat!
this could not have come at a better time im literally driving to great adventure right now
This is the first time I haven’t known what a beat came from on your account
Magic Mountain is nicer...
El Toro Feels like I'm getting ripped in half.
Nitro's sneaky best is drop off the brake run.
Standing coaster like Green Lantern....don't stand up when getting locked in. slouch a bit. Then when it locks you have ability to push with your feet to avoid crushing your friendlies
where did bro go?
"Best first drop on any coaster" X2 would like to have a word with you
Went yesterday for the first time and they were running Jersey devil with one train!!! It was a 75 min wait all day.
I’ve been waiting for thisssss (for like 3 days)
Coasttoons always got elite music taste the background music always hard
Most of us will like Nitro more than El Toro?! I know Nitro is great but that’s a bizarre take.
For the gp watching the video
The fact that this showed up just I time for my second visit is wild
Aaaaaaaand... Toro and Ka were closed.
You should do a ultimate review of Hersheypark!🍫
Badger-What a great park, I'll absolutely have to get there sometime in the future 😃
I've been on all 5 b&MS at this parks, all were amazing!
Nitro had a 5 minute wait because of the 2 trains operating. It might be controversial but Nitro is just better than el toro. Green lantern though... It was good but it was my least favorite. Also I went on zumanjaro when I was 7, it was great and my upper lip was pushed up
Me and my dad got lucky and got on king da ka right as it opened, still one of my best memories
Coastoons can you please do a wonderland review
this year i wnt on easter and thhe longest line i went on was 20 mins and it was for jersey devil lol
I’m going to great adventure in 10 days. Thank you so much for uploading this.😂
Waiting for that six flags great america review next👍🏽👍🏽
Hey coastoons, I’m starting to ride roller coasters, and I am in wildwood right now. Have you tried the three big rollercoasters there?
I love how your ultimate review was only 12 minutes, most videos like this are easily half an hour. Great job
You left out the second best airtime in the park Runaway Train!
Recently skull mountain has added disco with lights so it’s not even in the dark anymore I don’t really care but just a tidbit
Love the Cinderella instrumentals
El toro was sadly closed when I went because something’s always wrong with it smh
12 views in 1 minute....bro fell off.
Good to see you upload again!
Granted, I didn’t really find this helpful since my family has had season passes to great adv for ten years but it was still entertaining to watch
Badger! Great video, Coastoons!
A lot of this is outdated. Skyride is dead but should return hopefully if they buy a new one. The safari is not drive through anymore, it’s just trucks and the one inside the park opens on june 29th then weekends only
Other than that, good vid
Knowing that I will never be able to ride Kingda Ka before it closes saddens me every day.
If you have a season pass......you basically have the whole season, especially if you live close by.
Once Flash opens, that should be the first thing to ride before anything else due to its horrid capacity
FINALLY! A new video!

El toro was down when I went last week. made the park a 7/10.
What if a ride decides to breakdown when your in line
I've heard it's a coin toss as to what's actually open that day
Can't believe he didn't mention the Badger-themed coaster in the back of the park 😔
Wake up baby, coastoons just uploaded
Amazing video
Can u do Ga cali?im literally binging these vids😭🙏
Badger great vid
I love the ulitment review series
Can you do a dorney park review
The only bad thing about going into great adventure is having to step into jersey
hmm I strongly disagree with your strategy on getting the most amount of rides in at least for this season. You should NOT go to Nitro first.
