I feel like we get a video like this once a year but idk why 🤔 Edit: I’m going to hope he just hasn’t been on Wildcats Revenge because that definitely deserves a top 25 AT LEAST. If he has, then I would be shocked.
I thought WCR was a pretty mid rmc, and having ridden as much as I have it gets edged out of top 25, but I think coastoons hasn’t actually ridden it yet.
Great list and totally agree with you on Velocicoaster. It offers an overall package that no other coaster really offers. While SV and IG are my 2 and 3, VC is a comprehensive experience. The setting, theming, sound elements, the first show scene with the tension building and impact sound that mimics being thrusted, the overture of back to back immelmann and dive loops that set the stage for what's to come, the spaghetti bowl that causes confusion and makes the rider feel lost in the paddock, dodging rockwork and plant life, the attacking raptors snarling and growling, until finally hitting that second launch when the sound of the LSMs ramp up as you climb into the top hat. The (very) brief pause at the top that gives you just a second to catch your breath and take in the surrounding view until you plummet into the main course. The stall over the guest pathway, circling around the lagoon, the turns until you finally hit that heartline roll over the lagoon feeling like you'll literally be yeeted into the water below. This is a ride that truly perfectly paced, not the bastardized definition that many tend to confuse (pacing does not equal constant fast speeds). Pacing is all about the coaster doing the speed and elements exactly when it's called for. While I love SV and IG among many other intense roller coasters, for me speed and airtime are not the end all be all. Just like in a dessert, sweetness is an important if not main component, but it's not the only thing. Liking a coaster strictly for speed/intensity is like liking a dessert because it's the sweetest and has the highest sugar content. If that's what you only consider then that's fine, but for me I like levels, nuance, and differing, unique aspects to a ride and how they interact and influence the overall experience.
Velocicoaster is my number one too. For all of the reasons you have listed and more. It is thrilling but yet so re-rideable (sp?). It is consistently good. I have lost count of how many times I had ridden it now and I have only had one lackluster ride. Night rides are on another level.
DUDE THANK YOU ! You make amazing quality content. The humor is on point and is EXACTLY what is missing from the ENTIRE roller coaster youtuber community. Seems like every video I watch by many other's are just awkward, poorly communicated, and honestly just over the top with boredom. Keep doing what you do!
Great list, but if you havent been to Carowinds and gone on the Fury 325 you need to do that ASAP. It's probably one of my favorite roller coasters and the first drop is so much fun
I'm just glad my favorite park, Busch Gardens Tampa, got on the list with Kumba. I'm a bit surprised Iron Gwazi didn't get in there instead, but I get it. Kumba's intense as hell, and I ride it several times in a row when I visit because it's so far back in the park and in a kind of awkward area that most folks just walk past it in confusion.
We have the same top two! I of course loved Steel Vengeance, but something about Velocicoaster just got my heart racing in a way that Steel Vengeance didn't. SteVe may have the most airtime, but VC just hits different.
bro I feel the exact way. Steve was my #1 until I got to get on Velocicoaster recently and the front row night ride that I got on it was so good that I think its a bit better than Steve. I also got to ride Iron Gwazi too and hot take but I think its decently overrated by like everyone (like eltoro too that is so painful to ride and is rough now) and I personally might have Wildcats Revenge over it. Still a great ride though.
Goliath at Over Georgia is the best B&M Hyper in the US BY FAR and it’s not even close. The pacing is relentless, the turnaround is amazing, and the airtime is fantastic. The first half has great floater, but the final few hills are literally ejector, and that final hill in particular slams you forwards it’s insane. The first 3 valleys are pretty shaky, yes, but other than that, the ride is perfect.
Reasons Why Its Not 1 Goliath Is Kinda Rattley 2 The Pacing Is Definitely Not Better Then Mako Candymonium Or Shambhala 3 Goliath Has The Weakest Airtime Of Any B&M Hyper (Its A Top 3 B&M Hyper For Me Since The Layout Is The Best Of A B&M In General)

coastoons is hands down the best coaster content out there. his editing is more comical and induces excitement unlike other enthusiasts, his voice is so calming, and i WOULD NOT complain about a 45 minute coaster ranking video
@@HugeRMCFanBoY-bx3od yep u also forgot okaycoasters cedarflags etc but anyways i dont blame him for being a semi-gp enthusiast - not every enthusiast is privilaged enough to spend lots of time on coasters and credits. so far, as i see it, he's doing his best and introducing a unique set of skills in film creation to the community while properly researching topics and handpicking ones he likes to not oversaturate his content.
Regarding your label for Mako as "the Hyper perfected": I TOTALLY agree!! It serves up it's airtime in so many different ways, and the many points of SUSTAINED airtime -- chef's kiss! Easily my favorite B&M hyper.
The soundtrack on the Hulk is ESSENTIAL. I was riding it later in the day and I thought: "this ride seems way less cool than it was when I rode it earlier". THEN I realized that for some reason the music wasn't playing. It really made a huge difference on the second half. I don't even know if the music was playing during the first half cause its impossible to hear over the wind and screams.
The animation you did for people overlooking TMNT was hilarious🤣 I bet you put thought into it, and thought it was hilarious, and I also bet nobody would show appreciation for little things like that, I love it! And great list! I disagree a little but that’s what makes it fun!😂

i went on a trip to universal with my friends for marching band and got fast passes for our first day. Unfortunately while in line for velicicoaster it went down and none of my friends wanted to wait in the line for it.
Idk if he has been on I-305 since he has been to Kings Dominion with him riding twisted timbers but I-305 should definitely be top 25 and I would be amazed if it wasn’t.
Was i305 closed when you went to KD? Its my number one over steve, and despite what people say about it "only having turns and no airtime", its the most well rounded coaster Ive ridden, and has tons of airtime.
Is fury really not that good? Been thinking about taking the trip to carowinds just for this ride but not seeing it on this list is making me rethink. Please lmk if it’s worth the trip.
You say during Millennium Force that you like an aggressive experience, like something is trying to rip you from the train. There is no other ride that does that more than an evening ride in the back row on Iron Gwazi. It literally tries to murder you.
I adore velocicoaster but it’s a family ride. Pantheon sits above it for me, has the intensity, steeper drop, more aggressive reverse airtime, wave turn and huge outer bank hill
I feel like six flags great America is slept on too much. It has Goliath, the first rmc with in my opinion, the best zero g stall I’ve ever been on, and it has raging bull, one of the early hypers with such a good first drop, especially in the back because it is so whippy
My first ride I ever did was golden lasso aka Wonder Woman bro I remember being so nervous because of the drop I btw I was only 7 years old and I’m really excited because I’m going to magic mountain six flags after 7 years next week
Funny that you state the Hulk being the first roller coaster you really enjoyed, because it was the first inverted coaster I was ever on. Actually, it was the first coaster I ever went on. Up until then, I had avoided rides because simulator rides made my stomach hurt. At this point, I've ridden it so many times, I guess that feel that it has lost that extraordinariness, and I've been attempting to ride more intense rides like the Skyscraper and Slingshot ever since. Nothing seems to feel intense enough anymore. I guess that is exactly why the Intimidator appeals so much to me. That, and I don't have a whole lot of money to travel around riding on dozens of different coasters, so I feel a need for something with a lot of "punch", but still an overall comfortable riding experience that won't possibly leave me bruised.
Great list. I'm going to guess you haven't ridden Airie yet? It should be in everyone's top 10. Really like your content and couldn't agree more with your takes on Mako and Velocicoaster.
Highly recommend ridding a smaller raptor preferable rail blazer at cga the first drop on it in the back row is even more intense then wonder women or jersey devil because of the way the lift has a dip and turn before the drop so you get thrown out much harder
I liked great bear on my first ride, but my second ride was in the rain and I was in the front so I did not get a good re-Ride so it dropped a few spots for me
the fact diamond back isn’t on this list is crazy. (This is located in kings island) the amount of airtime you get on this ride is impressive, the whole time your on it, it feels like you are continuously falling out of your seat.
