Damn. Having Bobby impressed with this car eventhough having to test it,in the worst road condition (Glenmarie), and in a heavy downpour, really means the car is very good.
The surprising part is the refinement compared to the previous gen. And then they spec really good tyres. And the sound proofing improved leaps and bound.
hahahahh...let him out on a test drive unit in the rain and this is what Bobby does!

Can't wait to see these on the roads.. Wanted to buy this but the wait was too long and bought a Yaris instead. Watched international reviews and almost all of them gave the new Almera/Versa good reviews 😁

Pretending the fake shifts is a wastage of power/torque. CVT is designed to able to hold the revs so all the power and torque while changing through the gear ratios.

I wonder how does the chassis handles compared to the persona, the 2, and the new vios.
cannot beat the Vios. The Almera isn't exciting but feels well oiled and well dampened.

I think these new generation B segment cars are becoming very competitive, I feel the City wont sell that much, I prefer the previous facelift gen of the City.
I'm gled that this new Almera is way better than the previous one, and I agree with you, Nissan should drop this Almera name..

Interior prettier, exterior prettier, seats better, sound proofing slightly better. Vios handles better. And of course, Toyota has their legendary service and reliability

Hi Bobby, I am looking for best soundproof, comfort and spacious for b segment car. Is this the best compared to city and vios? Is it close to quality of c segment?
Sport mode? Or was it Stepped auto mode similar to the one in Proton? It simulates the normal AT gear changing feel only, nothing sporty about it.
Malaysian car quality is better than nissan car with a reasonable price... Spare parts cheap and easy maintenance... Honest reviews...

Hi Bobby, im happy to see this Almera performs well. If i were to buy this new Almera VLT, 1st thing 1st, ill change the tyres to PS4 205/55 while maintaining its stock rims

PS4 is farking expensive, but in the end got it over other tyre. lol. Landsail even cheaper. but too cheap I become scared to try.

VW Vento/Polo mk5 is an aging product by now with close to 10 years since it's introduction. Maybe VW could be the king of refinement again if they bring in the mk6 Polo/Virtus

no la ... it doesn't even beat the Vios in handling. And this has no steering feel, just light and easy to drive. Kon say the rear is more comfy than the Mazda 3 which i think it is as i don't feel the rear bumpy when i drive.

Vios wins in handling and perceived reliability and service. Almera wins on specs comfort and refinement

The hard plastic it sounds lesser quality compared to vios and honda when u knock it. Even Iriz better. What a let down there, but others part is very good especially the seating position, driving, and smooth engine.

Not so much the ride. But the dampened feeling of the throttle, brake, steering and stalks.
@@BobbyAngmalaysia I believe this gen Almera is based on the European Nissan Micra, which they need to improve the quality to be able to compete in Euros market
@@frenzyaustin I agree, it's based on the Micra hatchback so everything feels European inside. To me TCM is going all out this round putting such spec and white dashboard which is commendable. This definitely should clear out the bad name of Almera

I don’t like the colour of the leather at the dash. Same goes to the seat. No need black but some darker colour if you want it to feel slightly premium

ok so very decorative and smooth 1.0L and 3 cylinder turbo charged Almera VS old parents figure 1.5L 4 cylinder VioS or yaris = what is your peak for family car and Long drive like KL to Johor ?
Long distance drive? Definitely this Almera. It is quieter, smoother, has effortless pick up when the turbos are in. The seats are higher grade too. But if genting run i suspect the vios and yaris is still superior
@@BobbyAngmalaysia Thank you so much for your opinion. I wish I could learn driving like you. I would go Genting but will not race with anyone. Well I may need to keep up with my uncle's old Vios on going genting, at least keep him on my sight as you did with Yaris on other video.

i didnt say signal stalk on the left means premium, i say when we go into a car that feels quiet and well dampened we automatically look for the left signal stalk. and i also say my aston has the same signal stalks from Ford and it's crappy as hell .... haah
