loved this! short, straight to the point, angle is great... absolutely perfect for people like me who know the basics but want a new idea or a refresher!
Even though this is a old video and a common stitch, I love the way that you present it very nice and easy and thank you for going slow so I could catch it the first time
This is hands-down the best tutorial I’ve ever seen. Thank you so much for this.
One of the best tutorial on the moss stitch. Nice and slow and well explained. I do have to point out, sometimes, it is hard to find that space but I discovered that if I look for the “v” the space is between them. So that is where I can insert the hook to create the single crochet.
Best video I've found to learn this stitch.
Thank you for explaining the stitch to go into on the second row as the skipped stitch. Other videos have not made that clear, and this explanation helped me to understand the process so much more.
So nice to finally do a crochet stitch that solves the problem of crooked edges! This is great! Thank you!
Thank you so much! This is the only thing that finally clicked in my brain how this stitch works. Much appreciation even 5 years later. Such a timeless craft
I’ve watched countless beginner videos for crochet and I have to say after watching and rewatching yours it finally clicked. I’ve not done the best but, I’ve made 4 rows!!!!
I was going to give up on this stitch because of how the edges were coming out. I found your video right on time, my scarf has so nice edges, straight and neat! Thank you so much!
I felt the same way until I found this video!
Same here! I've watched several videos, trying to figure out how to end the row. You're the first one to say that we do not go into the chain space, so thank you for the clarification. Love your videos!
I've been struggling so much with my sides being untidy.I know it takes practice but I've been doing it for months now and made a lot of projects and then found this video thank you
Me too! Other videos I watched instructed going into the top of the chain, but I had to force the hook through it. This one shows making the last stitch of the row into the last space next to the V. So much better.
The hardest part of crocheting is knowing what to do in that last stitch. I search patterns that make it easier to end a row.
Thanks for the videos! I'm definitely a visual learner when it comes to this stuff. I can never understand the written instructions.
I have absolutely no idea how ppl can READ the instructions 😭
Same😅
Im a visual learn also.
Me too!
Thank you so much! I've had so much trouble getting the moss stich correct. The way you end each row made my sides straight.
Your visuals are so good, the right color and lighting for visualization! Thank you 🙏🏻
Thank you so much!!! This is the ultimate guide for the moss stitch. Amazingly simple and easy to understand.
Thanks for the step by step instructions. I am a visual learner. I have tried multiple times to read the crochet directions, but can not understand what to do, but I love to crochet at night while watching TV with my husband.
Easiest moss stitch tutorial I’ve seen yet! And thank you for going slow!
Excellently clear instructions. Thank you!
Brilliant! We’ll explained and demonstrated! Thanks! ❤
Thank you! I learned the linen stitch on a corner to corner increase but had no idea how to make it straight as she made a square piece so went straight to decreasing. Your tute showed how to make straight edges easily and clearly and simply. Thank you. ❤
Very pretty stitch. Video was easy to watch and follow. No useless talking or info, right to the point! Thank you!!
You are an excellent teacher!
Amazing!! I just love everything about your tutorials, your website, your patters... you & Hannah are just a super duper blessing!! I have been crocheting for over 40 years and always had trouble with my ends and you ladies make it so simple. Thank you so very much!!!
Thank you so much for this video. I was given a load of wool that was due to be used by a relative who then died. Her family wanted to celebrate her memory and I offered to make a blanket that would 'hug' any of them. Then I froze because I couldn't think of a tough, easy to do stitch... Until I saw your video.
Thought you'd like to know the effort you made to make this tutorial will be affecting more folk than you'd hoped for 😊.
Always L😍VE your tutorials, Tiffany! The pace of them is perfect and I appreciate how you explain what you're doing. Your spunky enthusiasm is so encouraging, too! Thanks for sharing this!
You explain everything very well for someone who understand and follow visual so we can pause the vidoe.
You have nice nails and the stitch looks lovely plus it's easy enough to do. I'm always looking for new easy stitches to learn
You are the best crochet teacher! So easy to understand and do. Thank you!
Very helpful. Thank you! Also, you have a very soothing voice.
Yay! A moss stitch that doesn't hurt my hands!! Thank you!
that one looks very relaxed, I think, I'll try it - thank you for those instructions!
Tiffany thank you, thank you for your videos!! You always go slow enough for this visual learner to get it. Your explanations are nice and clear. I walk away ready to take on a new project with excitement instead of anxiety ❤
Omg thank you thank you thank you. A wonderful and easy video you were so helpful I have trying for months and months to understand this stitch I watch plenty of others videos with no help at all they always go way to fast you were always at the perfect speed for me I finally got it thank you again and have a blessed blessed day
Thank you for such a straightforward tutorial!! It was very easy to understand and learn. I will definitely be coming back to your page the next time I need to learn a new stitch 😊
Thank you so much for such a slow explanation. I’ve been struggling so much to find a tutorial like this one for moss/linen stitch. Awesome! I finally understood where my problem was.
My husband is a cancer survivor and regular terry cloth irritates his skin. I love your stitches that form a tight weave. I am going to experiment with some of the softer 100% cotton yarns and try to make some bath towels using this stitch. ❤
You explain things in a way that makes it easy for me to understand. You also take such care to go slowly so viewers can follow along and learn. I really appreciate your channel as well as your website. I’ve learned so much from you. Thanks!
Oh! This will save so much yarn, perfect. 🙂
You are a very good teacher. Thanks for the tutorial!
You are the best teacher
Thank you so for this excellent demonstration of the moss stitch. My struggle was always the ending and the beginning. This video was extremely helpful! I appreciate you sharing your knowledge.
Have seen this stitch used in projects on Instagram and was never brave enough to give it a try. I am definitely a visual learner and your tutorial is brilliant, thank you so much!
Thankyou for displaying this stitch. I am definitely going to try it on a blanket. It make such a beautiful pattern.
Thank You so much for a clear video / tutorial 🙂🙂
Very nice, easy-to-follow tutorial. Thanks!
Okay, but thank you for this video, showing it from the beginning of the process. I've tried text and a couple other videos but this one really helped me get going!
Love the moss stitch thanks to you!
My favorite pattern. Good job
This was great! I’m making a baby blanket that has to be done before next weekend so this stitch will be perfect and quick to work up. Thank you for sharing!
thank you so much, fantastic video! i'm making a mental health blanket. it's much like a temperature blanket, but for how each day goes for me over the year. i like this stitch because of the lack of holes!
Thanks for this demo! I watched another video for the moss stitch and it said to use only one turning chain (and the foundation was skip only one stitch). It made it very squished and hard to find where to place the last stitch in the next row. Your method of two turning chains (and skip three stitches in the foundation) makes is so much easier and clearer in the next row. I'm planning to use the moss stitch for my temperature blanket this year -- just waiting on my yarn delivery
Beautiful stich
Easy to follow!! I’m left handed & I have to turn everything around to do it! 😂 I can NOT read a pattern so I’m a VERY VISUAL learner!! Thanks for making it easier!! 💕🧶☕️
I have the same problem, i’m left handed and for the life of me i can’t read patterns. Thank god for you tube! 🤣🤣
I end with 2 regular sc's at the end of each row. When I turn, I make one sc, and then the second sc, and then skip a stitch and continue on with the moss stitch. It makes for perfect, solid sides.
Thank you for this beautiful tutorial. Easy and nice. God bless you., 💕💖💕
Thanks dear. The way you explain can understand easily. Lots of love and respect for you.
You are great. !!! Thanks for helping me to learn. I love crochet and knitting
Gonna try this at school tomorrow during break
Thank you so much for this tutorial. Have always had difficulty understanding the stitch, but this was very clear. Am going to make a washcloth to try a better sized sample for myself. Love your videos:)
Thank you for a great tutorial video! Have been wanting to try the moss stitch for so long.
So easy to follow along! I love how you say turn it like a page in a book, I've been crocheting since I was 12 (now 28) and I've always done it underhand haha maybe there's no right or wrong but I like your visual of a book!
thankyou so much as well! I love learning from you!
Thank you so much, lovely to watch you demonstrate this Stutch😊
I purchased a kit from Craftsy/Blueprint during a 60% off sale and needed guidance. Very helpful so thanks so much!!
Thank you for sharing this beautiful crochet tutorial ! 😊💗
This tutorial is amazing! I am a beginner and I was watching another video specifically for placemats using this stitch. I got a little lost and my ends were super crooked so I scraped the whole thing. This video is so clear and my ends are so straight for the first time ever! This stitch is so intuitive after watching you do it. Thanks again (:
thank you 💕 helps a lot and easy to understand how to do the Moss stitch
Very nicely done Thank you! so easy
Pretty pattern
I have been following your Pinterest pages for quite a while was so happy to find your tutorials on UA-cam because I love written patterns after I actually see the stitches worked it all comes together and most of this is so easy for me with a combination of a pattern and a visual tutorial thank you thank you!!!!! 😆😆😆
Very good! Bit slow 4 me as im old & exp, but the stitch is in my head. You have a beautiful voice & would make a great teacher for little kids. Maybe online teaching them too?
Thanks for the vid.😙
Thank you for explaining how to get the sides straight.
Your crochet works are gorgeous ! 😊💗

Super easy to follow!
This was so helpful, thank you! I haven't done the moss/linen stitch in a while and I kept adding stitches and not knowing why. 😅
Thank you so much for the quick refresher lesson. You have a fabulous tutorial voice! ✌💗&🧶
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Τhank you very much from Greece
This is the moss stitch I learned.
Later, my wife wanted to do a moss stitch and said my instruction was wrong. I looked at the video she was watching and yeah, they were teaching her an entirely different stitch.
Its a stitch that I have in a book that refers to it as "baby bobbles" but is simply using an even number of stitches and uses hdc and slips with hdc in every slip stitch and slip stitch in every hdc.
Awesome, thank you so much for sharing this stitch. Can't wait to try it!!💜
Thank you nice clear video ❤
I love this. Thank you 😊
Very pretty!
Thank you for sharing the moss stitch. I have problems with tension. I do have a blanket that I think this was the stitch I used.🤩😻
I love using this with variegated yarn and if I don’t want the color change in the middle of the row, I just cut and tie at the end of the row.
This is great! I've tried several tutorials and this one is the best. Thank you!
omg how have I not heard of this stitch I'm in love and am inspired to craft so many more projects ❤
