First comment on your channel, but frequent watcher. Love that track you chose for the painting section, real nice. Thanks for all that you do for us here in the community, it is very much appreciated.
👍Excellent video. MCW is my go to paint for cars BUT their bottles can be a pain. You do a great job weathering and recording the process. Thanks for taking the time and sharing 👏👏
Great video Frank. Personally I still prefer to sand my tires/ Beautiful paint job. Love the HoK paints from Scale Finishes. I have the wild cherry for a future cobra build, I thought it would be more red than purple. Looking forward to more!
Awesome video Frank! See I'm not the only one that makes long video's... 🤣 That Cherry is going to look great! See I watched to the end mostly... Lol LLAP 🖖
"Pinky out" LOL. Wouldn't be cool if priming was that fast in real time. There was some education in that segment. You have developed efficient technique, switching contact points on the holders between spray coats and doing half the frame at a time, allowing easier handling etc. So simple and obvious when I see you do it. I will be adding your technique to my tool box. Thanks for sharing your experience and knowledge!
I built one of these back when I was around 14, customized it based on one that was driving around the town I lived in and it looked amazing. I have two of these kits, one is planed for factory representation of the car, the other is to do the exact same custom car I did when I was 14. Not sure where that model went, but man it looked great.
Hi Frank! Really enjoying your channel! I use MCW enamels and have had the misery of having the hardener cap welded to the bottle. I found that after the initial opening of the bottle that was it, no matter how careful I was not get any residue on the rim it was still stuck. The way I eliminated all that was to buy some empty Tamiya paint bottles with the plastic caps. Now, as soon as I get a bottle of hardener, I immediately empty it into the Tamiya jar. Haven't had a problem with a stuck hardener cap since. Hope that helps. -Ted
Love the video Frank. And thanks for the tire tip. I'm building the 1970 Mach 1 and it has the same ill fitting front clip. I glued it on before painting and I had to sand it down to make it fit better. For color I'm going Ford's grabber orange. I also lowered the suspension for more period correct stance. I think it sits too high OOB.
@@GrandNational66 it’ll work on the paint…not the hardener. That hardener bottle seals tighter than a crab’s patoot no matter what you do to it before you close it 😂
If I can make a suggestion, glue one side of the front fascia on first, let the glue set/ dry/ or cure and then glue the opposite side in. Mush easier than trying to line them both up at the same time.
So, I have to become friendly with my Dentist now, because I need him to be one of the suppliers of material for my model car fix!! 😉 (Lol, I really am going to ask him where I can get some blue gloves like you use)

That Boss 429 is one kit I still need to get. Enjoyed the video Frank.
I like those tire decals, keep those in mind and the color is an excellent choice!
Very nice Frank!!! Love the color change.
Frank I like the tip on loosening the paint bottle caps. I'll have to remember that.
yes....very cool tip
Great video Frank. I like the orange and red. Excited to see it with the tape off. I'll be watching
I like your color choices on this build. Should look like an 80's street machine.
Absolutely amazing. I'm so glad you are back. I really missed the sarcastic humor
That looks great the wood looks real. Thanks for the tip.
Can't wait to see how that color combo comes out! Should look killer!!
Another great video! Always informative information Frank. Say that three times

Run under hot water to open stubborn enamel...stir your paint not shake... wipe the rim everytime...N.P 😁

harbor freight sells them on sale quite a bit
@@terencewills4064 Dentist's gloves? lol
Strange! 😉
I will boil a pot of water about an inch or so deep and drop them in top down. Let it simmer for aminute or two. They open up like they are lubed up.
thanks Frank, very nice choice of colors. going to be a killer build as usual... um, did you paint the scoop? just asking.
@@prostreetrunner it doesn’t have a scoop.
Why wouldn't you wipe the jar off before you close the lid
