Outstanding work, I'm 72 years old and breaking out the 1970s modeling tools and getting back into modeling. You have a thing for quality, creativity, and clean work. Hell yah, I'm subscribing! Peace ✌️
Great tips Tim! I have used thread for seats to add the piping. I’ve never used PE items but like your method of detail them. Well done sir. Jeff of the North
Tim this is a awesome video and so much neat information and I did watch the decal video and I love the door card decals. I have one of the GTO's to build and I will be looking for the kit. LLAP 🖖
👍Nice! I ordered MCW paint today for a Revell/Monogram 66 GTO I’ll start in a few months. Great tutorial on coil over fabrication.👏👏👏. I’m planning on it being pro touring. You do nice fab work and video presentations. Have a Merry Christmas.🎁👏👏👌
The only thing cooler than an amazingly detailed model is the builder taking the time to show you how they did it. I think making my own coilovers may be a bridge too far for me, but I can't wait to try polishing the highspots on photo-etch versus the less precise and messier thinner infused paper towel I have been using to wipe the raised area. Last thing, and I really hate to ask because your building is award-winning and at the highest level, but what's up with what looks like ejector pin marks on the panel where you removed the Chevy emblem? This thing is a mind blower, and I can't wait for the next installment, even if does end up being the last one.😢
Those aren't injector pin marks, but the locating spots for the roll cage. I did not include that in this video because it obscures some of the details I wanted to feature. Give the coil overs a shot. Really easy to make for many different applications. Thanks for watching!
@ sorry I’m mistaken…. It come as a sheet bloke bmf but you can get it in different. Doug white used it on his model car muse video of the blue custom corvette

@timkustom I will be eagerly awaiting for the next installment to see the roll cage installed.
cool

What did you use for the carpet?
It is simply flocking. I blend a couple colors together to add depth.
How do you attach the spark plug wire….. I tried it the other day and it gave me fits! What glue do you use?
I use cheap liquid super glue applied with a needle. I just work slow while the glue sets. Once it is finished, I seal it with a flat varnish.
@ ah thank you
It looks great, but the shifter looks like it needs to move toward the - Sum that's just me being nick.PickyYou're a much better builder than I
Nothing is glued at the moment. Got a few more things to add. Stay tuned!
Hasegawa do a good chrome tape type product
Haven't seen their tape. Do they offer it in .5mm?
@ sorry I’m mistaken…. It come as a sheet bloke bmf but you can get it in different. Doug white used it on his model car muse video of the blue custom corvette
No problem. I have several flavors of that stuff. Just can't find the thin tape anymore.
Put the GTO logo on the headrest then ppl can say nice gto seats Lol.
That's a great idea. I wish I'd thought of that!
