    My oldest son is in his early 20's and he has type 1 diabetes. But thank God for this piece of article ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxVYhghKWmrUgXARZ_ydZTvmmcrw5L0I5i At first he thought he had the flu and was lying down on the bed for three days until his sister took him to the hospital. They took his blood and it was 600. What I do not understand is how he could have gotten it, since no one in the family has it. But he is winning the battle now. This is good stuff.

    *I Weighed 310 at my highest and 190 and my lowest (lost 120lbs! within 6 months) I had saggy bingo arms tho they werent even bad, **weightlose.fitness** i just lacked muscle and didnt work out. and could easily be toned by working out, which i have been doing and ive seen great results quick. I do have a lil extra pudge on my stomach and plenty of stretchmarks which have faded. Strength training is the best way to go for faster results, better results, and you'll love going to the gym more than if you were to do cardio alone. Do not worry about sagging skin - deal with it when you get there because you'll be way happier at your goal weight with some extra skin compared to where you begin!*

    As a diabetic I have come to love your show. The VA has wonderful classes and teaching me how to eat but I think I’ve gotten more from your shows than I ever did them, and I love those guys. Where is what you talk about the foods have been so extremely helpful, I’d like to see more about triglycerides, antioxidants, free radicals (etc); basically the things that constitute what’s beneficial at the chemical levels that help with diabetics. I feel like when you talk about the foods that we eat, you’re only covering the icing on the cake (excuse the pun). What I’d like to know is what is inside the cake that help and take away for what we are as diabetics. The counselors at the VA did not know about your show, and I told them all about it. They’re actually passing this on to other Veterans. You guys rock.
    OohRah, GitSum. SemperFi!!! 🇺🇸👍🏻

      Hi there, hope you don't mind me butting in Phillip but thought I would try to help since you obviously take a keen interest in your nutrition. Firstly, in case you are unaware, type II diabetes & associated metabolic syndrome is fully reversible by changing your diet. Unfortunately this channel is very remiss in addressing the fact & only serves as a guide to avoid sugar spikes. A very superficial approach to diabetes. Also a lot of the information they provide is just plain wrong, based on unreliable data & will not even do that. If you really want to address the problem & reverse your diabetes suggest you follow the leading channels on the keto lifestyle & intermittent fasting (also high intensity interval training) for best results. Its efficacy was proven by the British Medical Journal in a summary article, January 2021. Within 6 months I completely reversed my type II diabetes. It will of course take longer to combat the effects of high blood sugar & hyperinsulinimia over the years but it is the place to start. Wishing you all the best 😍

    If you really want.to know what foods spike your sugar level, test yourself after a meal for your peak time which is usually about 1 hour and 15 minutes after your last bite. Your glucose meter is your best friend.

    Whole food plant based carbs are Complex carbs, not the Simple carbs. Whole food plant based carbs are good for you. The fiber makes the difference. I eat a Lot of Complex carbs on a Daily bases. Blood sugar started out at 8.1 a little less than a year ago. Eating whole food plant based (wfpb), I’ve brought my A1c down to 5.1 and kept it there for the past 6 months. I follow the Mastering Diabetes plan. I’ve had as many as 745 mg of carbs in One day.
    People commenting here need to study nutritional science First: Clinical nutrition, Functional nutrition, and natural ways to heal yourself. Big Pharma only treats the symptoms because they want your money. I chose to naturally treat the Cause of those symptoms. Treat the cause, there are no symptoms. Natural is also safer without all those nasty and sometimes life threatening side affects.
    Educate yourself. Do your Own extensive research. Just because medical tells you their way is the way to go, doesn’t mean they’re right. They need your money.

      Yes I am scared of metformin. Im just starting this nightmare. Im in the US so I dont understand your blood sugar measurement. Im " Pre diabetic" and trying to get off sweet stuff and white foods and I read so many conflicting reports on what to eat and what not to eat. I need help. Yesterday I got my sugar down to 117. And my blood pressure was 126 over 78 . I felt fine. I went to bed early and as usual woke up in the middle of the night but was very hungry. This morning my blood sugar was 152 and I felt like I was having hypoglycemia like I dealt with long before diabetes 30 years ago. I was shaky and ravenous and anxious. I cant get it to stop. It has lessened but I want to feel ok. I had almonds and then just had a plain sweet potato for lunch. Even adding something sweet trying to feel better didnt help. I think now that I may have had this longer than I thought. My vision has gotten worse by the year and now I get some pains in my feet sometimes but its better since using magnesium. Just heard about the synthetic form of thiamine helping so.im waiting for my order. I am so confused and upset and just tired. 😭

    • @ficialintelligence1869
      @ficialintelligence1869 3 роки тому +1

      You have to do trial by error. Some people's blood sugars are not impacted greatly by beans. (My mom and my dad could eat them without spiking their blood sugars). If I so much as think about eating one black bean, I think my blood sugars spike proactively...whether I eat the bean or not.

    Oh my god recommending legumes for diabetics is like saying eat arsenic, it is safer than mercury! The study on legumes causing lower insulin levels was done by comparing them to taking stuff like toast & jam! I am being serious! This channel has absolutely no credibility. Worse it is hazardous to your health! Do not heed their more than dubious advice. I am appalled!

    Most legumes have a high glycemic load plus they are a reliable source of bloating. Most people with diabetes would do a lot better just consuming around 100 gr of carbs daily. More protein and fat, less carbs. Works also very well for weight control

    • @sharkair2839

      100 grams? that is excessive.

    • @mariarossberger
      @mariarossberger 3 роки тому

      With 100 gr carbs daily you can control blood sugar levels better than with more carbs. Diabetics have a problem processing carbs not fat or protein. Excess carbs convert into triglycerides

    • @sharkair2839
      @sharkair2839 3 роки тому

      @@mariarossberger yes i agree however 100 grams of carbs would put me in the hospital. how often do you check your blood sugar?

    • @mariarossberger
      @mariarossberger 3 роки тому

      @@sharkair2839 I do not check too often. The first years more often to get a feeling what really raises my blood sugar. Sometimes I don't measure for weeks. After 10 years of diabetes I still have managed to avoid insulin therapy. I take 2000 Metformin. Fasting glucose is almost every time slightly above 100 but I feel a lot better than before following this lifestyle. I had no energy and always had infections.
      I can live without soft drinks, rice and pasta but not without toes, kidneys or eyes
