🔎 Today, we’re going to look at 11 drinks that lower blood sugar naturally, including diabetic-friendly and delicious alternatives to the most popular fruit juices.
    11. Water
Water dilutes the glucose in your blood, and allows the kidneys to flush out any excess glucose.
    10. Lemon Water
Lemon reduces the glycaemic response by increasing the meal's pH level and slowing digestion - meaning that glucose enters the bloodstream more gradually and prevents dangerous blood sugar spikes.
    9. Ginger Tea
Its health benefits are mainly attributed to its potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Ginger can significantly reduce markers associated with diabetes-related complications and long-term blood sugar control.
    8. Apple Cider Vinegar
Drinking 20ml of apple cider vinegar in water can significantly reduce blood sugar levels after eating.
    7. Pomegranate Juice
Pomegranate juice is full of phenolic compounds which have been shown to aid blood sugar balance as well as improve artery health and reduce the risk of heart disease.
    6. Coffee
Moderate coffee consumption may benefit blood sugar. In addition, coffee has been shown to reduce the risk of cancer, heart disease, stroke, and Alzheimer’s disease.
    5. Coconut water
Coconut water contains natural electrolytes which are important for blood health, muscle function, and nerve signaling.
    4. Beetroot Juice
Beetroot juice is densely packed with vitamins, minerals, and unique plant compounds that improve blood sugar balance.
    3. Red Wine
The polyphenols in red wine have been shown to improve fasting blood sugar levels.
    2. Tea
Teas help to control blood sugar levels and improve insulin sensitivity. Additionally, herbal teas, such as peppermint tea, chamomile tea, and hibiscus can be helpful for managing diabetes symptoms.
    1. Kombucha
Kombucha may enhance the body’s ability to slow down the digestion of carbohydrates and reduce the risk of diabetes complications.

I'm just starting on this journey of lowering my blood sugar and am very confused about what to eat and what not to eat. I am a vegetarian and there aren't that many things that in the way of protein that a diabetic vegetarian can eat. I don't like eating eggs that often because I was always taught that eggs were bad. the bean family is a little too much to be eating all the time for me. my daughter does my cooking, she works full-time , I need to get my hemoglobin A1c down more it was 15 now it's eight point something. I've got a big back surgery coming that I need to get ready for and now I've got problems with my hip and my knee. life is terrible right now! there's so much pain I can hardly think. my doctor wants my hemoglobin A1c down below seven before I have surgery. can anybody give me ideas, recommendations, ? all I drink is water, and on occasion a glass of . milk. also have kidney failure stage 3 up and down around 30. I've heard keto and high-fat are the best to eat, but I need help with WHAT to eat.

@@wandafreitas6009 I would suggest you try cutting carbs as low as possible. In addition to Sugar, This includes ALL Wheat and Corn type flours , White Potatoes, Rice, Pasta and obviously Cakes and Cookies. And anything made with the above.
Sweet Potatoes and Parsnips are not so high in carbs, you could have them occasionally. Otherwise make your meals from vegetables and low sugar berries. Other fruits and banana are high sugar.
There are some meat alternatives available for vegetarians. I would suggest you make a shopping list and stick to that to begin with, and you will learn about more options as you go.
      Good Luck

FYI- I have been a dental hygienist for 43 years- lemon water is acidic, as is most of the suggestions in this video- good for blood sugar, BAD for teeth- it can contribute to decalcification & massive decay- just rinse with fresh water immediately after consuming acidic drinks

Blood sugar can be addressed very effectively by changing your diet to remove all of those foods that creates inappropriate blood sugar. In addition lower blood pressure will benefit from this change. I changed years ago and my BP is 110/75 predictably and my glucose is 95 to 105 predictably. I’m 75 and take supplements only… no pharmaceuticals ever. Oh yes…. I run 3 miles at 4 in the morning. Been doing it for years.

If I drink 2 bottles of water when I wake in the morning before I eat it only lowers my blood glucose by 5 points (I’m not diabetic) 2 hours later -also lemon water on a empty stomach raises my glucose ( lemons do contain sugar) -apple cider is the best I’ve found if you don’t have any type of indigestion

Type 2 here and for my body the only thing that impacts my A1C in the positive is mild to moderate exercise and no sugar, no carbs if I need to see rapid sugar response. Just for the record my sugar doesn’t swing a bit, it’s always high unless I cut carbs and sugar. Everybody is different when it comes to diabetes. All of the beverages listed here are absolutely good for diabetics, but do not regulate my sugar much. My main beverages are water, coffee and tea. No sugar of course. I’ve tried it all, believe me I’ve tried it all. lol

Paul: Burdock. Clearly, you need to detoxify. Dandelion is useful to detoxify, also. Since your absorption of toxins seems extensive, research herbs for detox and start drinking/rating a variety of them.
Remember basic scientific method caution and try one at a time for several days before substituting a different one. That way, if you have a noticeable good or bad reaction, you will be able to identify what you're reacting to. Perhaps limit yourself to trying one for 3-4 days before discontinuing and then starting another. That way, you will go through 2 detoxifying foods a week.
Once you have gone through the list if detoxifying foods you want to try and identifying your noticeable reactions, if any, you can then avoid negative reactions why alternating detoxing foods at will.
The goal is not to detox fast. The goal is to detox in an efficient and effective manner.
I just use burdock, but that's just me. My sister uses ginger, but I don't because some people get hard to manage diarrhea from ginger.
You can increase your water, too, but understand that increasing your water will also decrease your electrolytes. That is why water in the firm of trash, soups, and stews is to be preferred.
You can also drink a non-sugared sports drink diluted. During the summer when I drink more water than usual I will sometimes drink half my daily intake of water as tea and half as 2/3 water and 1/3 non- sugary sports drink. That is not scientific. It is merely to gently supplement my normal diet. I tend to run low on potassium, for example. My goal with olive oil, bananas, and sports drinks is always to avoid charliehorses.
Your goal is to detox without adding additional strain or stress to your tissues.

Thank you so much for all the great information. I live in South East Asia, in a remote area, the local hospital diagnosed me with Type 2 diabetes, however could provide next to no information on how to deal with it, without your you tube I wouldn't have known anything, I have watched most of your videos and I want you to know how very much I appreciate your information, it has helped me more than you can imagine.

    • @DiabeticsTalk

That's great to hear that you enjoy peppermint tea! Peppermint tea can be a refreshing and healthy beverage choice. Peppermint is a natural herb that has been found to have some health benefits, including aiding digestion, reducing inflammation, and improving mental focus. It is also caffeine-free, which makes it a good option for those who are sensitive to caffeine or who want to avoid it.
Your method of making peppermint tea sounds like a good way to keep it handy and available throughout the day. Just be sure to keep the tea refrigerated to prevent bacteria growth. It's also important to note that while peppermint tea is generally considered safe, it may interact with certain medications, so it's always a good idea to check with your healthcare provider before adding it to your diet.

First time I tasted Kombucha tea I didn't know if I would try it again. It's sort of an acquired taste. I quickly acquired the taste of Kombucha. Now every time I go to the grocery store a bottle of Kombucha leaves the store with me. I learned of the beneficial microbes, but, the capacity to reduce blood sugar and the A1-C test makes it even better.
