Dude honestly does not give a shit about the rest. The only reason he helps the rest is A: To troll twilight but way more importanly B: Because fluttershy wishes it, which is kinda simp. The world could vanish as long as Fluttershy is around. It can be argued that he took his powers to far blah blah, but even so Fluttershy being what she is was the only one consistently nice to him for a very long time to the point where he logically pwned himself when she threw the ice skates. I think his core need is based on being lonely, and also that he is not easily impressed, being the only being in some thousands and thousands of years to best him has to be the second reason why he cares so much.

It’s funny the first interaction between these 2 shows flutter shy really thinks the best of everyone. Fluttershy was the only one he couldn’t manipulate against her friends so he had to use his magic to force her into a negative mindset. Everyone else fell for his lies but not fluttershy.

i think it’s so wholesome because fluttershy started out as discord’s first and only friend, turned into his best pal and confidant, and soon transformed into this amazing ship that so many people in the fandom support. they’re honestly so cute together and balance each other out so well 🥹💞💞
