I thought she would play a stereotypical character of a drama queen but after the series progressed she was extremely mature and generous even if she is too much at times
Not only that, other characters really underestimate her (with the ither mane 5 being exceptions later in the series) due to her overly feminine nature. She can be quick-witted when necessary and she's also incredible resourceful. Having an eye on details even if they look frivolous or irreverent at first glance.
@@adam.n-steve Shes still a young adult and she literally has a nation wide business she is one of the hardest workers in the show... Imagine making and designing so many clothes for all those boutiques and she also takes a lot of time for selfcare and manners. She has it all figured out and does it boldly alongside her dramaqueen episodes hahaha.
And she's also definitely the most socially intelligent of the mane 7. She can easily tell if someone is feeling nervous, down or lying through small signs.

I actually have a story that's embodiment of it. My grandpa used to have a hair salon. Back in 1941, country where I'm from got bombarded. He went to check whether his hair salon got destroyed just to find a woman in front of it waiting to get haircut! He asked her whether she noticed that the bombs are literally flying through the sky and she replied "That doesn't mean I don't have to look pretty". So he opened up his salon and gave woman a haircut on 6th of April 1941.

I once heard something like Tabitha understands Rarity on every level, perhaps more than every other voice actress. So much so that she truly does understand how to voice her perfectly for every situation.

I love rarity. So much media tries to write strong female characters by making them more masculine but rarity is strong without ever compromising her femininity. She’s elegant and beautiful but completely willing and able to throw down if needed. Truly an icon

Am I the only one who actually liked rarity as a kid? I don't know if it was because I loved being "girly" and "exaggerated". I always thought of her as my perfect big sis, since my actual one was the worst influence on me. I cried as a child every moment I would see her and sweetie belle together

Back then she was my first choice as my favorite character in the series because I thought she was really pretty and then as I've watched more of the series, I started loving her character even until now! I also remember getting upset whenever I see a bad comment about her and it's such a shame because they didn't understand her character, I felt like they're missing out lol I'm glad she's finally getting the recognition she deserves 💖

The thing I love about Rarity is that she has the personality of so many other characters in other shows who turn out to be villains. She’s vain, feminine, loves clothing, loves her hair and appearance and talents. She’s confident in herself, and very rarely (no pun intended) do we get a female character like her who sends the message that we ARE supposed to be like her. We ARE supposed to do things that make us feel pretty, we are supposed to enjoy our appearances and be confident in our skills and looks, and we are supposed to strive for our own definition of “fabulousness!” And while she is confident in herself, and dramatic, and petty on occasion, she’s not shallow or one-dimensional--she’s an extremely talented, creative, generous, caring, intelligent individual who runs her own business and takes full responsibility for the care of her younger sister. Oh my god. I love this show.

Rarity episodes are the best, except for Dragon Dropped (which did have some good moments still, and at least we saw Gabby again!!) there really isn't a single bad Rarity episode and Rarity Investigates is one of my favorites.
