Agreed… I think it’s wonderful to hear all the interpretations. Considering how accessible all the recordings are it’s amazing that players aren’t “conforming” to a single interpretation and instead making it their own.
The tempo makes all the difference for the first movement. Players like Odon Racz play the written tempo which makes it sound way more melancholic than, for example, Edgar Meyer.
Ez igen ! 42.000 megtekintésből 65 hozzászólás. ...de sokan nem írnak semmit sem irígységből, és rosszindulatból... pedig ami jó, az jó. Nem lehet letagadni. Gratulálok ez tényleg jó volt.
It is very good (as always with Odon!) Another I like very much is Mikyung Sung (in case you haven’t heard it yet.) The orchestra in that one is not so good though. (I think it was an amateur or semi-pro pickup orchestra for the competition.)
I haven't heard this song in a long time. The Bottessini con. No. 2 was performed during my college graduation performance. Right now, my health is bad, so neither kb🎻 nor pf🎹 can do anything. Also, the phrase 'gesundheit vor allem andren' is correct;; (By the way, the last note of the first bar of the 1 mov- Wasn't it D#😶?)
Because when you shift with a mask on your fingers can get caught on the bands, I’ve had a first hand experience with it, the good thing was I was just warming up
Every bassist I've seen perform this piece makes it sound like a completely different piece

Amazing! 🤩 Beautiful sound.
As a student of orchestration, this has helped me to gain a better understanding of this instrument,. Thank you.
Incredible and just wonderful!
Complimenti! Bellissima esecuzione: raffinata e molto espressiva, davvero coinvolgente!
You make it too damn easy that's why to me you are the most pleasurable to listen and see, absolute legend ❤️❤️

Does anyone know how his bass is tuned?
Solo tuning possibly? F#, B, E, A?
Yes, that exactly
12:10 so beautiful 😍
Wundervoll! Hat der Bass eine Standard- oder eine Solo-Stimmung?
Danke ....Solo -Stimmung @Thomastik Belcanto 🙏
First movement - 0:00
How many hours do you study at day? 😄
that bass seems a bit big, no?
Yeah it’s supposed to be
So is the man! Looks to be perfectly sized to me.
Wonderful performance! Though I too wonder, why no mask? It does not send a very good message.
Because when you shift with a mask on your fingers can get caught on the bands, I’ve had a first hand experience with it, the good thing was I was just warming up
Er sendet genau das richtige Signal!
Rinat Ibragimov plays better in two times
what a pity all those musicians have to wear those totally useless 'mark of the sheep' masks.. but it takes noting away from Odon, of course..
Bravo!!!
