Nicola Domeniconi it is really wonderful isn’t it? I think this younger generation has huge talent compared to what we expected in the past. Another for instance is Mikyung Sung: m.ua-cam.com/video/v90f3k55HEw/v-deo.html
the Cadenza was my favorite part. I am currently learning this song. Whenever i see you play, you have amazing phrasing and expression. I am heavily influenced by your playing Amazing performance!!!
You pulled me away from what I was working on to witness your performance. Well done. Exciting, captivating, and it sounds like you give a damn . . . which is of most importance to me.

C- minor is original key. Is it possible tuning up half of pitch three solo strings? (Solo part is in a- minor .) Bottesini used this tuning, but his strings was not modern metal strings.
It is beautiful. Not only Edicson but the whole ensemble as well. What I don't understand, is a certain amount of unnecessary and- I dare to say- unmusical accents they do. Again, not just the soloist. I don't get it since it is absolutely clear that they all can play so well. Nevertheless, this "small" but serioulsy relevant issue take away some of the artistic meaning of the music itself.
I am sure all of the accents and sforzatos are written in the autograph score by Bottesini. Doesnt mean you have to do them all of course, but you cant blame the musicians for playing what is in the score.
Because when people see accents they assume that it means attack but don’t think in the context of the music, which is romantic, so a romantic accent would be more bow and a lot of vibrato, not an attack
Just starting to learn to play bass, and although I´ll never reach this level this is the most motivating thing I can imagine. Beside that there must be someone trolling around with 33 accounts. poor guy
Some wonderful musicais reduce the charm of their performance by playing and dancing simultaneously wich is very distracting, Music clearly expresses itself without the aid of accented body language. Also, double bass players shoul pay special attention to the body posture. The human body can easily be deformed. Special attention to modern Ergonomics is very important for any kind of musician; instructors should guide students more properly. -- A fine performance, Senõr Ruiz!
How you look while playing is half the performance, and although you can overdo the expression it’s still much better than someone who is expressionless.
Bravo Edicson! Full of freedom, expression and imagination! A Pleasure to hear it!

you sound great bro, loving this!
Che bravo!
my back hurts watching this video. Great music by the way;)
Genius.
So beautiful...
2:06 gave me chills
hmm one bass with 3 strings and the other with 5
it is a historical kind, they used to be that way
That was when the bass was born and became part of the string family
Bottesiini played a three chords bass
Yeah! Give em back his string Mr. bass in the back ya silly goose!
I've seen a few bass solos, and all the soloist have a 3 string bass. Why exactly though? Why not just have a 4 or 5 string?
fantastic!!
Muito bom! Simplesmente belo. Perfeito.
Bravo! Bravo!
The ending was a beautiful unexpected twist but I love it 💙
Enorme.
Wunderbar!
Crazy highposition!😄
Maravilloso.
The bassist in the back looks depressed cuz he’s not playing the solo
It is a perfectly usual double bass player facial expression : I suppose it is not due to repertorie, but to the fact of carrying the instrument
thats what he gets for taking one of his strings
@@alexv3357 not really, Bottesini music is an honor to play, no matter how hard it might be that doesn’t make it nor enjoyable to play.
que contrabaixo bonito!!
brutal!
Very beautiful brave.

en que afinacion esta ese contrabajo?
Muito bom
Very refreshing in this key. However, why is it in C Minor?
+Aleck Belcher Iriginally it's on that key, look for the original schore.

Fantastic...but Edicson's bass needs to be a tad louder in the mix. The violin actually occludes some of his notes at times.
I think there’s a couple of spots where the violin has the melody but overall I’d say she was too loud
How did the soloist tune his 3-string bass?
From lowest to highest I think its B-E-A (Solo tuning without the F# string)
@@santicruz4012 since this version is in C minor it's tuned a minor second above solo tuning, so C-F-Bb :)
Just starting to learn to play bass, and although I´ll never reach this level this is the most motivating thing I can imagine. Beside that there must be someone trolling around with 33 accounts. poor guy
What kind of bass is that???
Greg Padilla It's an upright or double bass ;)
The model is called "Cornerless"
played beautifully although his movements are overkill and it takes away the beauty of it
Now just realize his bass only has 3 strings
