OFFICIAL TRAILER | Life On Our Planet (New Dinosaur Documentary)
ABOUT T.REX DINOSAUR DOCUMENTARY
For over a hundred years dinosaurs have inspired and thrilled audiences, commanding blockbuster status in museums and at the box office. But among them towers a king-a tyrant lizard king. With leaps in CGI wizardry and revelations in tyrannosaur paleontology over the past twenty-five years, the time has come to revisit rex in the world's prestigious museum cinemas, from rexling to teen to fightin’ prime.
Chronicling a remarkable discovery in the badlands of Hell Creek in the summer of 2023, this immersive giant screen film explores the life and times of the Greatest Of All Tyrants - the GOAT.
For Adventure! - Ігри
I know there’s an argument to be made that Tyrannosaurus is overexposed in paleo media. But truth be told, Tyrannosaurus is so significant so ubiquitous so famous that it’s almost impossible to deny featuring it.
Its also fairly sure the rex is overused just because of how much information and data we have on it compared to some other species
It's also the best known megatheropod we got, we have a giant sample of data from many life stages
I like T-rex as much as the next person, love it to bits; absolutely fantastic beast. Any dinosaur game/series should have it, in one form or another
that said;
If they could make these sorts of docs for different species as well, make it into a series, that'd be even better
Have the next movie be about Allosaurus, Brachiosaurus, Stegosaurus, or even Australovenator, would be awesome!
@@Raithialt rex was literally the largest and probably the strongest terrestrial predator to ever walk on Earth.!
We know more about T-Rex than just about any other dinosaur. Plus it’s unquestionably the most popular dinosaur out there. Cool name, largest terrestrial carnivore, strongest bite force in [*terrestrial] history, and a wide verity of specimens make its cultural ubiquity understandable if not inevitable.
The part with the music dropping and the Tyrannosaurus rearing up over its kill making it look like it was going to roar but it ended up not happening...
This documentary's gonna be amazing.
So stoked to see closed-mouth vocalization being used!
Yeah, but you can see in the scene before it, the tyrannosaurus roaring at other ones. So will still roar
@@crustader3755Sorry, but where? There was not a single roar in the entire trailer. And no, the _Quetzalcoatlus_ sequence still had no roars.
No it's not.. It could be good, but I think it's gonna be okay-ish at most.
Models arent that good, and there's way too much hunting going on.
@@TheFoundationsComputer the carnivore that hunted every day having a documentary that has a lot of hunting 🤯🤯
Okay, this is just beautiful. We not only get a whole movie/documentary dedicated to T. rex itself, but Champsosaurus, Anzu and Guanlong also get some spotlight in the media. Well done Giant Screen Films!
guanlong was in late jurassic china, was it not?
@@Raphus_2001I'm guessing a prologue scene or flashback to a more humble beginning of the clade. Or I guess time traveling Guanlong.
has Champsosaurus ever been in a doc before? Because I dont think it has, such a unique animal.
Yup and it's also related to T-Rex.
@@flightlesslord2688I don't think it's been in anything besides Saurian.
I'm glad it didn't end with a roar.
The Ending may not of been a better alternative...
I think that's a Oviraptor in it's jaws... and i think that's a damaged Rex egg...
That rex just lost her eggs and the time it spent raising them...

Im noticing that ever since Prehistoric Planet came out with the likes of the Corythoraptor, every Oviraptoroid that came after it has the obligation to be blue
To be fair, they look very nice in blue
even the t rex coloration here is pretty similar to php
But they still keep the egg stealing oviraptor stereotype
@@direwolfkaniz9192
I mean, it probably did steal eggs on occasion.
A hard-shelled orb filled with protein probably would be an opportunity not to pass up.
They just weren’t specialized for egg-stealing, being more likely to be omnivores.
Same thing happened with Allosaurus and its crests always being red since WWD
Trex documentary trailer doesn't end with Trex roar? Well you had my curiosity, but now you have my attention
I misread your comment and thought you said "attraction" 😅

You do know that’s not the only reason this would be a good documentary right?
And that hasn’t happened in a long time.
Is that… Anzu? That’s gotta be the first time we’ve seen it in a mainstream documentary, and also Champosaurus as well
Yes this is a anzu
I love that they sampled Cassowary bellows for the T-rex sounds.

Loving the look of this. And nice to see Champsosaurus (the crocodile looking thing) make his documentary debut
It looks a little like the ones from Saurian. Both the game & that Field Guide Book.
This is the best animation Giant Screen Films has made yet. Very fitting it’s going to a documentary about T. rex. Even if it ain’t quite on par with Prehistoric Planet I’m very eager to see this for myself, this trailer was a banger.
I love how its cry wasn’t a roar but instead an even more terrifying low guttural rumble
It's cassowary sound
Props to the camera crew for going back in time to film this "documentary".
Yeah so funny. Never saw that comment anywhere the last 10 years..

@@TheN1ghtwalker yeah, sorry. im not wasting time discussion with you about your fantasy creature in heaven (whatever name of the thousand it has - and depending on the century you live in).. im rather interested in science.
@@sethael1741 "science" says that fossils are often found 2-5 meters deep. It also says that 1 cm of soil forms in about 250-300 years. Which means a dinosaur found 5 m deep should've lived 125000 - 150000 years ago.
@@TheN1ghtwalker yeah whatever..
It's very fitting they chose the sound effects of the world's most dangerous bird, the cassowary, for the tyrant lizard king! 👑

The head looks a little wonky, but hopefully it's just the lighting in some shots! This looks super awesome, love the lack of roaring and the babies
Now this is the what the Jurassic World Dominion Cretaceous Prologue should've been like.
No displaced species or cut and pasted models.
Can’t we appreciate this for what it is?
As one who's grown up with When Dinosaurs Ruled America or Walking With Dinosaurs, I'm always pleased with documentaries ever increasing in quality❤
Are we seriously going to gloss over the fact that this has some of the best trailer music of any dinosaur documentary?!
In all seriousness though, this does look amazing and everything here is perfectly designed.
The T-rex looks like a dinosaur from prehistoric planet this is incredible and amazing and magnificent
i'd love to see them have the T rexes make actual t rex sounds with the low frequency rumbles.
Look at modern cassowary
Great to see accurately depicted dinosaurs in documentaries like this. That scene where the Quetzalcoatlus squares off with the T.Rex is going to be amazing.
You contradict yourself in the second sentence. There would be no fight, only execution. The same would happen with triceratops.

It’s just coming out this summer! My family is a part of the documentary 🥰
Nice to see it didn't roar because the 20foot animal in Australia that looks like T-Rex doesn't roar but sounds like a huge croc or gator but it also grunts as one witness have heard from it looking at him on the other side of a river.
Burrunjor?
Yes that's what I'm talking about. Had to look it up what a Burrunjior is😅 This Burrunjior describes exactly what I'm speaking of.
It's cassowary sounds
I like the way the CGI looks, but I still want to see a Morrison Formation Documentary with this level of quality.
Me too
If they do one based in the Morrison formation, It has to be focused on Allosaurus just because it's also a very well studied theropod
I remember seeing a trex documentary at IMAX in the early 2000s
T rex: back to the cretaceous, wasn't it?
@@tyrannycall9754 yep that was it
Never has a single feathered T Rex fossil ever been found, yet there have been plenty of scaly skin T Rex impressions found.
I wish season 3 of prehistoric planet begin to air ❤
Yeah. Meanwhile this one doesn't look bad at all though.
Awesome trailer! Thanks for not having the Rex roar at the moon at 1:40 😁
I like this model, it combines the best aspects of LOOP and PP
One word: Beautiful.
The music is the best part of this. It's chilling and it fits the story of the T. rex so well. You can really feel the somber and sudden rise to kinghood in this music.
Looks pretty great, I've missed cinematic documentaries like Giants of Patagonia and Sea Monsters. Prehistoric Planet still has the best T. rex design, but this one could definitely be a solid contender. I especially love the use of deep cassowary sounds for it, seeing as birds like ratites are the descendants of dinosaurs. I am curious why what looks like Guanlong is being shown here, though. Is this gonna be going through the whole evolutionary history of the tyrannosaur lineage?
Thank you for posting trailers like this on your channel, I wouldn't ever see so many of these things if I didn't get notified about them through your channel.
I am going to have to ask for the song...
Absolutely wicked trailer btw. Can't wait to see it
New day intro - Skott
Im so excited to see proper Azdharchid representation!
After season two of Prehistoric Planet, T-area wants a rematch 1:17
The Rex walking off into the forest with a dead anzu in its mouth is so badass. Since this is a more accurate depiction of T.Rex, I hope they have it try the ‘Triceratops decapitation method’. I’m not saying it should work, i think you should draw attention to this hunting tactic though. And they should really focus on the ambush hunting style of the adult and compare it to the fast and agile hunting style of the juveniles and adolescent Rexes.
The decapitation model likely wasn't a hunting method. More like food preparation once the Triceratops was already dead. It would still be cool to see though.
Accurate tyrannosaurus is more scary than jurassic world tyrannosaurus
Well, of course, one has to roar because he needs his prey to be moving to be able to hunt them. Otherwise, he doesn't see them. The other has already located them miles away and has devised a strategy to hunt them without making noise.
Loving the music~!
Very curious about this one, guess we'll wait and see - nice to see so many species!
You couldn't choose something simple... You had to choose something worthy.
Long live your majesty.
I can't wait for this documentary.
Spending time in the Hell Creek and going back the Museum for this is awesome.
Walking with the dinosaurs is the best documentary of all time that is no debate
I knew as soon as I saw Triceratops, that it is REQUIRED BY LAW that they show TRex killing the Trike. It is illegal for any of these new CGI Dino Documentaries (especially from Discovery or Nat Geo Channels) to show a Triceratops being victorious over a Tyrannosaurus. I don’t know who started this law but it has bothered me for years.
Pretty sure nature created this law ever since it created predators and prey. A water buffalo can kill a lion as it definitely has the means to do so, but you don't see much footage of that either, do ya? I understand that we all have different favorites, but this isn't some superhero "who'd win in a fight" scenario, these are animals. In the animal world, predators kill prey, otherwise they die anyway. Simple as.
The T Rex is the largest land carnivore of its time and arguably of all time, of course it'll be depicted preying on equally sized prey. What I don't know is where this obsession with "dethroning the king" came from, it's like yall are applying human royalty concepts to animals lol.
@@nglord5298 How many times have we seen a Tyrannosaurus taking down a Triceratops almost effortlessly between all forms of movies and tv shows? Like maybe three dozen? I can’t think of ANY film or TV show that doesn’t show Triceratops being almost effortlessly taken down. The last time I saw a Triceratops actually win against the predator was the film “One Million Years B.C.” (and that was an impossible battle against a Ceratosaurus). Triceratops was, perhaps, the only herbivore that was built to stand a legit chance against a TRex, but these shows/films are TERRIFIED to show that (and that, in some cases) Triceratops actually didn’t just collapse dead of fear at the sight of the all-powerful TRex like he does in virtually all Dinosaur documentaries. At this point it has to be considered a win if Triceratops manages to be shown merely scratching the TRex with one of his horns before, inevitably, being easily subdued by TRex.
And not only is it just a law that Triceratops always be shown to be the main helpless Dino on the TRex’s menu, but a lot of these movies act repulsed by showing a Triceratops (unless he is shown being eaten) now that we have amazing CGI technology. In “Walking With Dinosaurs”, he was shown being the powerless punk he is always depicted as, being eaten by TRex (but we had plenty of screentime to show the glory of Torosaurus). In the Disney film “Dinosaur”, we see an (admittedly outdated) Styracosaurus. In “Walking With Dinosaurs: The Movie”, of course it had to be Pachyrhinosaurus getting the spotlight. In the Jurassic Park/Jurassic World franchise, they go far out of their way to avoid showing Triceratops on screen for longer than 3-7 seconds per film (unless he is doing his required dying like in the first film). Nasutoceratops is able to get much more screen time. Hell, in the “Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous” TV show, they just completely replaced Triceratops entirely without any explanation whatsoever with Sinoceratops instead. Why is such a beloved classic dinosaur like Triceratops CONSTANTLY disrespected and shown on screen as little as possible or else being easily dispatched in all modern movies and TV Dinosaur documentaries?!
0:09 finally someone who gets the date right!
That's actually very well made! I hope that I'll get the chance to go see it

This is actually a decent and beautiful paleo documentary film, i do hope giant screen films plan on making more paleo films about animals in different eras such as the paleozoic and cenozoic or a film about the evolution of dragons and fauna of the future 🤔.
When not at night, the T. Rex’s sound is almost adorable
I think I prefer Dinosaurs without feathers and furs. I know I might be inaccurate but I grew up with dinos like in Jurassic Park.

So after several beaten ups on the movie screens, somebody decides to make a documentary exclusive for Trex, fair enough lol.
So is this only available in selected cinemas in the US? Or does anyone know where i can watch it in Germany
Hope this dino doc will be a good one.
The time between the last T-Rex (65mya) and the last Stegosaurus (150mya) is greater than between the last T-Rex and the modern day.... Doesn't that just blow your mind?
