Never regret subscribing. I'm watching this video almost a year later in 2021. I literally laugh out loud when u say "if u wanna live simple, go live in an apartment" Living 'simple' is definitely not as easy as most people think. Ur videos are amazing!!! 🌲
🌲🌲 So much of this is why we live in Alaska - with amazing neighbors and the Aurora to dance across the deepest of winter nights - life is simple but never uneventful or easy. 🕯
Wonderful video, the front door is amazing. You are not an imposter at the home improvement store. We all need help, and a "real man" asks for help when he needs it.
Your videos, your story, and your words are an absolute inspiration to me, they help me find my motivation when things are hard. In February of 2020, I took a leap of faith with my fiancé and we bought 5 acres of bare land, I thought I was crazy, in fact I still question if this is the right thing. But he saw my dream, and together we have decided that we will make my dream that has turned into our dream happen. There is no house, no running water, and no electricity. We are doing everything ourselves. You’re cabin is beautiful, your honesty about how living a simple life can be harder is so very true. But also very much worth it. Thank you for making the videos you do. Love and light from Oregon, USA. ❤️
I love how you find joy in the smallest things like putting the door up and appreciating the warmer temperature that it would allow inside :) Thanks for sharing
🌲 As a kid I grew up without a dad to teach me how to be a man at the lumberyard so I can relate. Yet somehow over the years I kept faking it and now I can build an entire house and renovate anything. I know you know this but I’ll say it anyways, you are a good man who is doing more than most men would ever take on. It’s impressive and inspiring to watch your videos.
17:41 My back hurt watching you lift that. I have been slowly watching your older videos, and I think your channel is the most beautiful view of living in the woods on UA-cam. Thank you for sharing your life with us.

tree emoji here! Thank you! Yes I live in a tiny house and moved in during a big snow storm with no utilities... well an extension cord with one plug 200 or so feet from the barn; and some small tamnks of propane I used little by little to last through the storm. Sponge baths, etc. It sure makes you appreciate basic necessities. It'/s great to feel part of a community delving the rich life of connecting back into the world! much joy and wellness to you Kalle and all who are here and our dear world home.
I would rather live in the middle of nowhere and face daily hard work like getting water or firewood, than living a city life with all the rush hours and waiting for couple of weeks of holiday once in the year. I know how life in the countryside looks like, because I was raised there, but I love that life as it is. I would rather struggle without running water than working 9am-5pm for rich company and someone's new yacht or holidays on Bahamas, working around bullies or people who have nothing better to do, but making new gossips about others, being stuck in endless road traffic, breathing polluted air, paying more and more bills, etc. Living in the countryside is hard in some way, but it doesn't have to be hard, it's always about how organised you are, it's giving so much possibilities to make this life much easier, allowing to enjoy every minute.
I’m watching this way after the event as I’m catching up, or binging, as we say, on all your videos from the beginning. I was so struck by your comments you made in the hardware store. Why do we assume that men know what to do in those circumstances? It is a brave man who spells this out and I had tears in my eyes for you and so many others who feel the same. I am enjoying catching up with your lives doing something I would love to do.
Basics. Food gathering took so much time, and so did many other things. Healthy and natural went out the window, and convenience and little awareness of how that effects the earth so negatively... You guys make it look so sweet.
Kalle, this episode is a work of art and also contains so many lessons. Your resilience, your even demeanor even when pushed to the brink astonishes me. And I love Nicole’s voice! She is so gentle, sweet and loving!
Great job with the door!!! Glad you're finally able to keep the heat in! 🌲 There is no gene that makes a man suddenly know everything about a hardware store, same as no gene in women to know how to cook hehehe but I think it's great you're getting all the house stuff done!!

With the current events happening in London. Yours and Jonna's channel have been an escapism platform for me. I've always loved the outdoors and would try and spend every minute outside when I can. But because we are indoors all day it's been difficult and with channels like yours I am able live vicariously through them. So thank you! :)
I really REALLY appreciate your honesty and that you do't make everything idyllic. You make things look stunning, but that is because you live in a stunning landscape and you are an excellent filmmaker. I might freeze to death taking an ice shower, and you hardly shiver.

“Buy with your heart…” You are changing my life for the better one video at a time. You are wise beyond your years. Or maybe it’s a Swedish thing. Either way, your videos are priceless.
🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲 Thank you so much for the amazing video. I too have experienced seeing the Northern Lights. I had seen them in Michigan. The best ones I have ever seen were in Alaska when I lived there and I had seen a few in Iceland while living there too. And thank you for explaining how you felt as a man in the hardware store. It has given me a new perspective on how my older son many feel at times. But we all kinda feel like this at times. Have a Happy New Year to you and your family and friends all!🎉🎆
Yeah...it shows living simple is complicated, specially on those harsh winters in Sweden. I'm so glad to live in a season-less country where the temperature is always sort of the same year round.
Kalin please keep the house warm for darling Christine. She is a very beautiful and special lady, who loves you a lot. Love from a Swiss lady pensioner.

I couldn’t say it better....so glad to have found your channel! There isn’t anything on TV that even comes close! ❄️❄️❄️
So different from those realities full of drama and betray
🌲🌲🌲 🌲🌲🌲Tree emojis for you! "But before, bu but before..." haha! You are cracking me up. Love the realness in your videos. My ancestors are Swedish; I enjoy your photography and videography.
With the current events happening in London. Yours and Jonna's channel have been an escapism platform for me. I've always loved the outdoors and would try and spend every minute outside when I can. But because we are indoors all day it's been difficult and with channels like yours I am able live vicariously through them. So thank you! :)
🌲🌲🌲A simple life =/= an easy life. Well done, Kalle!
I really REALLY appreciate your honesty and that you do't make everything idyllic. You make things look stunning, but that is because you live in a stunning landscape and you are an excellent filmmaker.
I might freeze to death taking an ice shower, and you hardly shiver.
“Buy with your heart." and "support local businesses"... you have my respect bro. it's good to see people living that life without being selfish.... it's so kind from you. 🥰🥰🥰 best of luck
I cannot wait until I am doing what you do! So exciting to watch your life, the time passes so quickly and it is literally the best part of the day watching you 🚜 🌲🌲
🌲 Wow you have been busy! The door looks amazing 👌 And i love your purchasing philosophy, we like to support local businesses too...it’s so much more satisfying. Loved your video once again. Lotsa love to you, Christine, Tuss and Nala ❤️
Yay 😍 You made it to the end ❤ Thank you so much! Yea, I think it's important 😊
I am writing from my laptop so I don't know how to put a tree emoji, I definitely saw the complete video and I loved it. I love long videos, like the ones of @jonnajinton. I also subscribed, you are an inspiration for me. Thanks and greetings from Ireland.
“Buy with your heart…” You are changing my life for the better one video at a time. You are wise beyond your years. Or maybe it’s a Swedish thing. Either way, your videos are priceless.
🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲
Thank you so much for the amazing video.
Have a Happy New Year to you and your family and friends all!🎉🎆
You have a beautiful life. 💜
🎄🎄🎄Indoor bathing surely has to be a goal for next year for you both, totally enjoyed all the way to the end 🙏🏻💜😊🎄🎄🎄
Yeah...it shows living simple is complicated, specially on those harsh winters in Sweden. I'm so glad to live in a season-less country where the temperature is always sort of the same year round.
Kalin please keep the house warm
for darling Christine. She is a very
beautiful and special lady, who loves
you a lot. Love from a Swiss lady
pensioner.
You said the video was long. When it ended I just wish it would continue🌲
Haha I guess that's a good sign 😊 Yay 😍 You made it to the end 😍❤
@@KalleFlodin the ends are actually super funny to watch when you show how it is when you filming. Loved this ones in particular when you were speaking English and Swedish, it becomes swenglish, as I do almost daily😁
Me too
Same..... I wanted an even longer episode.....i wanted to see more. Keep on keeping on. Love your fur babies... I soooo badly want to cuddle them both
I love this already Kalle!! :) Your cinematography always is top notch and I appreciate your raw and honest way of telling stories! I feel like I know you in real life and could pick right up over a cup of coffee with you and Christine! Much love to you from Germany!
Thank you Wanaria 😍 So happy you like it ❤
Hihi that sounds cozy 😉💚
I took an orange and put cloves in it like you had on the table! Teach us some of your Swedish ways, and traditions! Love you teaching about what you make for your meals!
AHHH this is so beautiful! I love it.
Amazing Kalle! The Ice Bath looks incredible 😋 Can't wait to do them again once I'm back home in Austria 😊 all the best to you 2

🌲 this is the first time I'm watching one of your videos. Thank you for the authentic and raw content. Keep living the life you believe in! And good luck with the rooftop :)
You live a simple life, close to nature and follow your dreams! You create it, day by day. And to help small business owners- I love your way of thinking and helping each other. 🌳❤️

That's the only way to do it 😉❤
the lights gave me the chills, stunning and surreal.
28:00 That was hilarious..
"Just pretend this is a tree emoji" apparently, computers won't support that kind of service.
I love your content, it's beautiful. Keep up the good work!
Edit: You should try out for Santa! 36:58
Wow this makes me grateful that my outdoor shower is at least heated haha 😭
I am watching this a year after posting - and I notice that the old doors, too are quite beautiful.
🎄It's in your DNA to be inspiring : ) Natalie Nicole from Canada

🎄🎄🎄 Hej from South Korea, I love watching your videos. Its a blessing to see what you do there and living in nature itself. My brother and his family live in Sweden too ( near Lesebo/ biggest City nearby is Vaexjo) , I used to visit them a lot when I was still living in Germany. Now living in South Korea with my husband / he works for the US army), watching your videos is very interesting and especially when language or living expenses there is not entirely cheap. I told my brother about your channel the other day, he said he=d look into it. Stay safe and have a great day, greetings from South Korea ✌🎄🎄🎄
