I admire Christina's resolve. My wife is pregnant with our second child right now. During our first pregnancy, we still lived in my condo in the city so all the modern amenities were available to to her. We have since moved into the off-grid home I built for us in the country. We have a shower, running water and an indoor toilet, but resources still need to be managed differently than a conventional home. We are also a bit of a ways away from the hospital, so it will be interesting when the time to deliver comes. I personally would never hear the end of it if my wife had to go outside every time she had to go, which is every half hour right now. Or if she couldn't get hot water to wash her hands. Your girl is an exceptionally strong lady.
One day you will be old, your children will come to visit, your grandchildren will be playing in the woods and you will sit in the yard and see your family and reflect upon your journey and it will be a wonderful thing.
Kalle all you have done to make your home family ready is so endearing. You should give yourself a pat on the back you surely deserve it! I prey for blessings on blessings for you, Christine, and baby :) much love to you all!

Kallie, you should place your baby’s seat in the center of your back seat, as it’s the safest place should you be in an accident. We were in an accident were the back seat passenger was pushed in 29 inches after being hit broadside. Our baby only had minor injuries in the form of small cuts from broken glass. Everyone was so amazed how well the car seat protected him, but also that we had placed him in the center. So happy for your family . Blessings❤
Hey Kalle, have you considered positioning the dining table alongside (perpendicular) the window? looks like it would fill the space better. It would also free more area for the living room and could probably fit a cozy armchair. I know the lights won't be centered anymore, but that's fixable...

Swaddling was the real challenge and going sleep deprived after baby came along. By 6 months our son was sleeping through the night but he was born low weight for GA and for 3-4 months he was starvin Marvin!! Once he gained some weight and he was t so hungry all the time he slept well. One night he cried a little in his crib but after that he slept well and even napped well. He’s now taller than me and well in his way to becoming a man. I pray your child’s birth comes easy and he sleeps well with you both.

The thing is that strollers have an about 5 year life span and thrift stores are not allowed to sell them after the 5 years. Not to be used for babies, here in Quebec anyhow.

The cabin looks so good! My daughter had a very complicated, risky pregnancy, and she was also experienced nausea the whole way through. It was such a relief when my grandson was born, which I am sure it will be for you also. I am so excited for the two of you!!❤

Well done for all your efforts! It's looking great. Definitely best idea to buy the pram second hand...we did the same when our son was born (10 years ago!). But my advice is to get a soft stretchy wrap... once I discovered how much easier and more connected it is having the baby tucked against your body, we rarely used the big bulky bassinet any more. Ignore all the people who tell you you need all this stuff for babies, really it can be much simpler.

Really appreciate the small transparency section about the crowdfundig. On the one hand, it makes sense the second you think about it for more than five seconds - on the other hand, I at least have grown pretty wary, so I don't even take those five seconds to think. (Plus, while I find the idea of crowdsourcing and coming together a really beautiful idea... I suppose I've turned into too much of a cynic to consider it more than that: just an idea.) Well done for all your efforts! It's looking great. Definitely best idea to buy the pram second hand...we did the same when our son was born (10 years ago!). But my advice is to get a soft stretchy wrap... once I discovered how much easier and more connected it is having the baby tucked against your body, we rarely used the big bulky bassinet any more. Ignore all the people who tell you you need all this stuff for babies, really it can be much simpler.

Alltid jättemysiga videos men lite väl långa klipp på småsaker som kunde klippts/speedats, typ när du bygger en stol, går i snön osv. Kanske bara är jag som stör mig dock. Oavsett, alltid lika kul att se vad ni pysslar med där uppe :D

Really appreciate the small transparency section about the crowdfundig. On the one hand, it makes sense the second you think about it for more than five seconds - on the other hand, I at least have grown pretty wary, so I don't even take those five seconds to think. (Plus, while I find the idea of crowdsourcing and coming together a really beautiful idea... I suppose I've turned into too much of a cynic to consider it more than that: just an idea.) Fingers crossed though! I'm curious to see where the well-journey leads 😊
