I signed up for the curiosity bundle through your link, but nebula is asking for a new subscription. would you mind pointing the steps to have access to nebula? thank you.
i really appreciate your take on the trees; if they do need to be cut down sometimes, it’s nice to try to work within the ecosystem and make as little impact on it as possible. ☺️
I know what you mean about being alone when even the dogs are gone. We´ve always had a dog, but when our last one died suddenly late 2019 it was a year before we were able to get another due to the pandemic. While there as a sense of freedom during this time without, it was very quiet and quite lonely too. I love watching your videos, they´re very calming, beautifully filmed, informative, uplifting, considered and educational , thank you.
I can’t decide whether it is the scenery, the story, the voiceovers the filming why this makes a 63 yr old grandma happy and look forward to the next-hehe you know what it is ALL of it ❤️ simply perfect -thank you x
I totally agree, Jane!! I think for me it is also somewhat living vicariously through Kalle and Christine, wishing when I was their age that my husband and I had taken that leap of faith and done something similar!
Your minimal approach for simple food and living is remarkable . In the age of people are running after money. Your parents must be proud of you guys. Resilient and kind.
Idea, Can you also make a video about your dogs? Their personalities, how you train them, what they think of the life in the cabin, what you feed them and how they fit your and Christina's life. Love ❤️
I love this concept of choosing a bit of discomfort… it’s like choosing a wood stove instead of a gas or electric one. It takes so much more work but it’s truly the heart of the home. We have a new born son, our first baby and live in a self built tiny house (7mx2.4m) which definitely adds some discomfort… but I can see the positives it brings to our lives too xx
We're living in a very similar way but have no electricity and cannot use the wood stove until we repair the chimney, we also wake up to 10-13 degrees, but unfortunately it stays that way! I agree that discomfort is important, as it is often linked to convenience which is not usually sustainable,. But we hope to have a lot less discomfort when the winter returns to Jämtland with a wood stove for heat and boiling water.
You don’t even need to ask me to like, I do it as the video begins as I’m sure I’ll like it! Also after everything that has gone behind making this video and the troubles with uploading, I think I speak for lots of us when I say that we don’t mind if the video is a bit late and we don’t want you to feel under pressure to provide or get burnt out in the process. We are very grateful for every video you upload but don’t want you to work too hard to provide us with entertainment. Finally, I’ve got to say thank you and sorry if me asking about your video just before Leena and Joachim’s stream made you feel obliged to upload on time.
I knew I could count on you Sempai 😉 That's very kind of you to say, that means a lot, thank you ❤ No not all at, was happy about the question 😊 I just didn't want to steal their moment, I just wanted everyone to focus on them and their live stream 😊
Kalle, you are a beautiful soul. I love your honesty and your wisdom. You and your beautiful family of Christine and your lovely dogs always bring a smile to my face and my heart. Blessings to all of you.
I really love and admire the fungal net - mycorrhiza. The communication amongs all the trees throuhg it is incredible. This changed my perspective about the forest.
We have a phrase in English to describe how you are feeling without the others there - "absence makes your heart grow fonder". It's fine to enjoy your own company for a while as it make you appreciate them all the morr
Your land, your cabin, your dogs and you yourselves are so beautiful. Thank you for sharing all of this beauty with all of us! I especially appreciate the aerial shots of all the trees, because where I live, there are not very many trees here! 😅🌵 Merry Christmas to you and Christina! 🥰❤️
The Nebula/CuriosityStream deal is too good to pass up. Thanks for making this option available! Your videos go great with a cup of coffee or tea. Always a pleasure.
the husky's can help with all kind of tasks! They can help you with bringing the wood, water, groceries, etc. from one place to the other by pulling a sled. They need a lot of exercise, but that does not only have to be just through hikes :) They love to work with and for you!
This is life...A bowl of popcorn and a documentary..a quiet life in the enchanting Nordic forest.Missing Christine. Her enchanting smile..Thanks Kalle.God bless you both.
Your videos are getting better and better! Good quality and we can see that you have put a lot of work on them! I also like to see that you are a simple and humble person🙏 always on the process of learning! Keep going👍
I don't know how to say it without sounding dramatic haha but your videos give me a lot of clarity. The chat about discomfort at 10:25-11:14 was something I needed to hear. Somehow you always manage to give the advice I need at the moment. Thank you Kalle 💚
I used to have 2 huskies aswell. They were real escape artists and sometimes it was stressful, but that's how they're bred. To be independent thinkers and that makes them very intelligent dogs. One of mine lived to be 16 years old! I miss my girls. On another note, you really become fit when you live this lifestyle. All the chores are like a workout routine for your body more fun than going to a gym imo. Enjoy the silence Kalle! Great vídeo as always👌❤
Your videos are so special . Believe me your efforts show. And we love how you film the videos, the background music..the talk and all the little things But especially the drone shots from above ..I'm not sure how you film them but they're absolutely amazing 🎉❤️
Hi from USA - NY . I just found you Kalle I identified myself with your story about finding freedom to leave a life the calls your heart . I was desperate for a lifestyle change I didn’t know the reason was so miserable at work and I realized over corona vírus time that I wasn’t leaving my purpose . I’m still in the same job but planning carefully my life . You inspired me so much , I know I will be where I’m suposto to be sooner or latter .
I watch you and your crew all the time, so thanks for your content, Kalle and Christine. I have consistently felt a little overwhelmed by the music track which one assumes is to be in the background but, honestly, takes over the ambient sounds of fire crackling, rain falling, animal sounds, wind, etc. which would really be an enhancement to the experience. It's just a skosh too loud for what it is meant to do, which is to relax listeners and viewers, right? Thank you for reading and listening back.
Kalle, I just love your videos. The scenes are wonderful. You, Christine and your beautiful dogs are so VERY enjoyable to watch. I love how down to earth and genuine you are. I am living somewhat vicariously through these videos as I'm stuck in an apt in Minnesota in the US. I'm so happy you are both living your truth. Peace and love to you, Christine and the furry girls!!
That's a lot of trees, for two people to stay warm. i am sure you develop a deep relationship with them, and a lot of love and intuition for which ones to leave; to be able to hear them. it's a powerful relationship, humans and trees. 💕✨💕
You have a very soothing and healing way about you. I very much enjoy watching your videos. Thank you for being you and sharing part of your life. Some day I will get there.
Hello Kalle. I haven’t commented for quite sometime, but I thoroughly enjoy your episodes. Your talk about wanting to change your life and getting dog(s) to help with that is very true. I just got myself a dog after not having one in my life for about eight years. I now have a beautiful 5 year old retired from breeding female Chocolate Lab. I’m so happy I did and I realize even with the big change in daily schedule, how much I missed having a pet. Take care. Peace and Calm to you all. 👍🏻😎🇨🇦
New subscriber in the states. Your story resonates with me. We recently bought land and have started building a homestead. It’s so slow going but I can envision what it will become. I still work outside our home for income but would love to explore a way to earn from home doing what I love: gardening, raising animals, cooking, etc... your channel is honest, refreshing and inspiring.
Hi kalle, Allan here from Gold Coast Australia I accidentally found your channel while searching for off grid living documentaries, I love watching lifestyle channels but your channel has to be my favourite the sceneries, your log cabin, your pets and your location makes for a cosy environment. I admire your move and congratulate you on your new venture. Keep up your great work hope I can visit your country one day.👍🏻
Ahhh I always have so much to say 😂 That means I enjoy your videos! I love what you said about choosing discomfort for your own benefit - I hunt with birds of prey so like your huskies they really force me out of the house even when I don't feel like it, and of course you always feel better when you do! But what a smart thing to do with choosing your dog breed, I never thought about it like that. Also seeing Christine in your videos always makes me so happy, she has this really raw calming energy that comes through the screen ❤
I recently rescued a 9 month old Husky...my boy is extremely high energy and forces me to get more active...Husky’s are also so very loyal and “clingy”. Mine has to be with me at all times or he suffers severe anxiety...anyone who is considering a Husky should really understand their needs before they commit lol...they really do change how you live your day to day life and they are so very lovable! I’m so enjoying your vlogs keep it coming! Blessings from NC, USA. 🙏🏻💖
Every time you post, your videos get better and better! I know this may not be a lot coming from a small UA-camr, but I know how much work goes into making videos.🌸 AAANNND I am glad to see you were able to get this up as I know you were saying yesterday that something came up!
That's so sweet of you to say, thank you ❤ Doesn't matter who's it coming from, still warms my heart 🥰 Yes, it was a LOT of problems uploading this one...I had to drive over 6 hours to switch to another computer 🙈
I completely relate to you when you say that your huskies allow you/ force you to live the life you want. My terrier does that for me, which is why I chose her. I never considered how powerful a force our animals can be when we’re trying to change our lives for the better!
I know exactly what you mean by searching discomfort. Right now I’m living a very comfortable life in Spain right by the beach, but next week we are moving to the woods in Norway. Maintenance of the house and living far away from everything I know will be a struggle. But the peace we will get from living in the middle of nowhere and the connection with nature will be so worth it! I can’t wait to start my new live🌲
I really wanted to write a long comment at your last video, but hadn't had the time that day & for now I just want you to know that I really appreciate it! I know many of the feelings you described & in a strange way I am just SO grateful each time I get to know that this feeling of "you don't fit into our society" does not have to mean that we're not good enough/ not trying hard enough & just weird...it's nothing just a few freaks experience - it's a really common feeling and it can hit anyone, because these systems are not against "freaks" they are against human nature. I am really excited about the new ideas on how we all together might be able to shift that.... & you also got me with the advertisement but it seems like I will have to get myself a credit card first 😅 & Dogs are Persons too 😊 Not Humans, but Persons... So you said everything right! 🐺❤️
We’re on our third Boxer, and I love them because they are very high energy dogs, too. Probably at least as energetic as huskies, so they, too, require A LOT of exercise. They take about two hours of my every day to give them what they need. I’m always so gladdened to see people who take their dog parent responsibilities seriously. Love to your babies from me and mine! ❤️
Superb share. Yes to evvveryone helping you achieve 100 thousand subs in a month or less. I cannot imagine just using a normal ax rather than electric or reg. chainsaw. How can your hands and wrists handle such. Lovely editing as per the 'ushe'.
I subscribed to Curiosity and Nebula a few weeks back from Kalles link. The first doc. I watched was "Live The Stream: The Story of Joe Humphreys". That film is so amazingly beautiful on so many levels. It both displays the beautiful nature around us, but it also shows a man that does what he truly loves. The passion Joe got for Fishing really gets to you. Amazing. What a man.
Love how you film an action/activity, like cutting apples, as a nice looking B-roll. I'm definitely gonna try to do more of that! Thanks! All the best, Annie
I just came across your channel. This is the first video I’ve watched and it is AMAZING! So cozy and calm. I love cabins, hiking and nature so this video brings me coziness. I just subscribed!
Hey Kalle. Very interesting Video, thank you. How is it working with the Trees? Are they on your ground or do you have a permit to cut them or how is it legally allowed in your country? I am from germany and wondering because here are very strict rules for that.
So true, have you tried oil lamps and lanterns for light? I love the outdoors and nature. But I am torn between two living styles, small town and cabin living.
I've just watched your video tonight Kalle...I found your videos a while ago via Jonna's group. As always your video really inspires and is full of life at a slow pace, which I love. It's been a difficult past few days as I found out I have a breast cancer. So I have just signed up to the Curiosity Stream and watched a great documentary about an ancient forest. This is going to really help over the coming months, lots of life affirming films. Looking forward to many more of your videos.
I was SO glad you mentioned the importance of leaving some of the dead trees - there has to be a balance in everything, including tree felling. :) The Fungi documentary looks amazing, I will be watching it soon! Another great video, thank you always for sharing!
I just found you this morning and I'm impressed, very relaxing and interesting content. As for your advice to embeace the uncomfortable, well, I start pharmacy school at age 52 in July, am I crazy?🤣🤣🤣🤣
My husband Faisal and I love a hot bowl of Oatmeal on cold mornings... I love your Cooking Stove is it possible to find a stove like this with an Oven with it as well or do they not have this kind there? 😊
Hi Kalle, apologies if you have already done this, if so please provide the link, but, I would love to see a video on your actual camera and microphone setup, what do you use, your lessons learnt etc... your videos are so professional it would be great to see why.
My dog is the same way! She is a Dachshund so every morning she is starting to run like a maniac through the apartment chasing the cats lol And then she will bring me her toy and insist that I will play with her....all while I am still in bed trying to sleep! And then whenever she finally stops then the cat wants to be fed and will meow until I get up ! lol Got to love pets haha
what kind of porridge...grain? did Christine use? Have you considered going with a pellet stove rather than using forest wood? Love the life style...thanks for sharing!
Hey Kalle, great video 👌 Do you know how it affects the forest when the we are taking the trees ? Do you plant new trees or does Nature do it herself ? How does it work with the cirkel and rhytme of Nature. Its a good or bad Way. Thanks for your allways beautiful video. Assia 🇩🇰💞🇩🇰
Hej! Another great video, thanks 💖 We already signed up to curiosity stream, I must check with my husband how to get nebula so I can listen to the newest podcast and see the bonus content of this video. Also, great tip about the dead trees 💪🏼 we have started chopping them but I must tell my husband to leave some too.
My husband can relate too much to you before you met Christine. Now he cant't live without me around but we always plan to take time away from eachother and I cant help but imagine he will be exactly in your boat whenever I do go! The pandemic kind of killed our plans financially. But anyways, again so inspiring!!! Thank you Kalle! Liked and Subscribed! I so hope you hit 100,000!! Happy early Birthday! One day I hope you stumble upon my channel but until then I just keep going and keep dreaming!
Kalle, you are an artist and I’m addicted to what you’re doing.. this inspiration you’re putting out is igniting a flame of passion within.. it was always there, but these vibes you’re sending are really helping with setting very exiting things in motion.. I love you people, there is something spiritual connecting all the people in here with each other and it is divine. Magic is all around and I’m pretty sure that Christine is going to agree with me on that.. sending you endless love and the best wishes for your birthday in a month of time kalle.. love you all❤️

Haha! I heard "some weird huskys"
Thanks for sharing about the importance of dead standing trees for a living forest.

They take about two hours of my every day to give them what they need. I’m always so gladdened to see people who take their dog parent responsibilities seriously. Love to your babies from me and mine! ❤️
Superb share. Yes to evvveryone helping you achieve 100 thousand subs in a month or less.
I cannot imagine just using a normal ax rather than electric or reg. chainsaw. How can your
hands and wrists handle such. Lovely editing as per the 'ushe'.
Thank you Kalle! Send you and your girl greetings from sunny Greece. Wish you good health stay in peace
Thank you for the inspirational video. Beautifull drone shots!
Happy you liked it Arne ❤
I subscribed to Curiosity and Nebula a few weeks back from Kalles link. The first doc. I watched was "Live The Stream: The Story of Joe Humphreys". That film is so amazingly beautiful on so many levels. It both displays the beautiful nature around us, but it also shows a man that does what he truly loves. The passion Joe got for Fishing really gets to you. Amazing. What a man.
Cool! I will that one out 😍
Love how you film an action/activity, like cutting apples, as a nice looking B-roll. I'm definitely gonna try to do more of that! Thanks!
All the best,
Annie
“Lonely Man In”❤️👍
I just came across your channel. This is the first video I’ve watched and it is AMAZING! So cozy and calm. I love cabins, hiking and nature so this video brings me coziness. I just subscribed!
Wonderful
Thank you for the connection to docs!
Wonderful! I really loved the mood in this video, really feels like you take us with with you - just a lovely atmosphere you both have created 😊✨🍃🌲
That was exactly what I was aiming for, so I'm happy you feel that way 😍 Thank you Joachim ❤
Hey Kalle. Very interesting Video, thank you. How is it working with the Trees? Are they on your ground or do you have a permit to cut them or how is it legally allowed in your country? I am from germany and wondering because here are very strict rules for that.
Loved the video as always 😁🖤
We as subscribers should start a dating platform for people who want to live like this 😂
Haha 😂
I agree😂
Omg yes😂
Ladies 😏

Never thought i would be paying to see a guy doing his laundry. Lol
Thank you for honouring our request!
Haha 😂😂
Life is full of surprises 😉 Hope you like the extended version 😊
So true, have you tried oil lamps and lanterns for light? I love the outdoors and nature. But I am torn between two living styles, small town and cabin living.
I've just watched your video tonight Kalle...I found your videos a while ago via Jonna's group. As always your video really inspires and is full of life at a slow pace, which I love. It's been a difficult past few days as I found out I have a breast cancer. So I have just signed up to the Curiosity Stream and watched a great documentary about an ancient forest. This is going to really help over the coming months, lots of life affirming films. Looking forward to many more of your videos.
Happy you found your way here thanks to Jonnas group 🥰 I'm so sorry to hear about your cancer ❤ Happy you enjoyed the documentary 🙏 HUGS
@@KalleFlodin Thanks Kalle.
I was SO glad you mentioned the importance of leaving some of the dead trees - there has to be a balance in everything, including tree felling. :) The Fungi documentary looks amazing, I will be watching it soon!
Another great video, thank you always for sharing!
Very peaceful video. I love it!!
I just found you this morning and I'm impressed, very relaxing and interesting content. As for your advice to embeace the uncomfortable, well, I start pharmacy school at age 52 in July, am I crazy?🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thank you Vincent ❤ Way to go on embracing the uncomfortable 😍
I really like you and your story telling. Sharing your life on line is inspirational... Worth watching more like this!!
Thank you Andrea ❤
24, lots of trees, you can build half a log cabin with these trees ...
My husband Faisal and I love a hot bowl of Oatmeal on cold mornings... I love your Cooking Stove is it possible to find a stove like this with an Oven with it as well or do they not have this kind there? 😊
Thank you. So beautiful footage of the forests... The poridge is healthy and good...
Thank you ❤
I love to see Christina smile and hear that laugh makes me want to smile....love your video as usual. I know you are gonna hit 100k and deserve it
She truly has the BEST laugh ❤
Hi Kalle, apologies if you have already done this, if so please provide the link, but, I would love to see a video on your actual camera and microphone setup, what do you use, your lessons learnt etc... your videos are so professional it would be great to see why.
I'm doing a class on that later this year 😊
This was such a wonderful glimpse into your world.. one that I admire and am jealous of. What a great new channel for me! 🌲
❤️🙏
Happy man ! thank you for sharing your lifestyle, that means it's possible. It gives hope !
Of course it's possible ❤
My dog is the same way! She is a Dachshund so every morning she is starting to run like a maniac through the apartment chasing the cats lol And then she will bring me her toy and insist that I will play with her....all while I am still in bed trying to sleep! And then whenever she finally stops then the cat wants to be fed and will meow until I get up ! lol Got to love pets haha
That is so wise of you to harness the husky's natural motivation to investigate the wilds. Love all the beautiful footage. Thank you.
They take me on an adventure each time 😊
what kind of porridge...grain? did Christine use? Have you considered going with a pellet stove rather than using forest wood? Love the life style...thanks for sharing!
Hey Kalle, great video 👌
Do you know how it affects the forest when the we are taking the trees ?
Do you plant new trees or does Nature do it herself ?
How does it work with the cirkel and rhytme of Nature.
Its a good or bad Way.
Thanks for your allways beautiful video.
Assia 🇩🇰💞🇩🇰

We already signed up to curiosity stream, I must check with my husband how to get nebula so I can listen to the newest podcast and see the bonus content of this video.
Also, great tip about the dead trees 💪🏼 we have started chopping them but I must tell my husband to leave some too.

I love your vlogs
Truly inspiring 😍
My husband can relate too much to you before you met Christine. Now he cant't live without me around but we always plan to take time away from eachother and I cant help but imagine he will be exactly in your boat whenever I do go! The pandemic kind of killed our plans financially. But anyways, again so inspiring!!! Thank you Kalle! Liked and Subscribed! I so hope you hit 100,000!! Happy early Birthday! One day I hope you stumble upon my channel but until then I just keep going and keep dreaming!
I like that drone shot going over the pond where the ground has half snow cover
It's a beautiful angle 😊
I have finally found someone that loves documentaries. Most people will not admit they watch history and documentaries. Thank you Ernest
I loooove them 😍
Kalle, you are an artist and I’m addicted to what you’re doing.. this inspiration you’re putting out is igniting a flame of passion within.. it was always there, but these vibes you’re sending are really helping with setting very exiting things in motion.. I love you people, there is something spiritual connecting all the people in here with each other and it is divine. Magic is all around and I’m pretty sure that Christine is going to agree with me on that.. sending you endless love and the best wishes for your birthday in a month of time kalle.. love you all❤️
