I think this level would have work if it was merged with the boss level of General Grievous. I picture you chase after him and then once you reach a certain part of the level you battle General Grievous himself.
Yeah I always thought that level was the shortest. It would have been like only putting the duel on mustafar at the end and cutting the build up to it .
Yeah, as a kid I always said that the level was way too short and that to make it a little longer they should have put the chase scene in. And it looks lile they almost did it but decided to scrap it. Probably becuase of multiplayer stuff, but honestly when playing with my brother I'd have him turn off his controller during vehicle parts because haveing two players during those parts sucked anyway.

The Lego Star Wars games are probably the first games I ever played for over 100 hours. I loved those games so much as a kid on Ps2 and then later Wii.

why not have player 2 be grievous? it would have been like the level darth vader where one player plays as Anakin and the other as obi wan an you fight each other? that might have worked.

Evil Joverlord I don't think that would work because as far as I know the bikes can't ride walls...
In my opinion the General Grevious fight always felt short so this level combined with the Grevious fight probably wouldn't have hurt.

I love if Lego made like a Remastered version of the Complete Saga video game which would also include all the Star Wars movie, Tv series, comics and other media into the game also for the Boga chase they could of used another Boga or a Speeder bike for the second player as a non-canoncal edition to the game for fun uses, also I would love a Mageeto and Cato Nemodia levels plus other levels as well
Also I would love if Lego remake the Boga set at some point which include Cody and few troopers and battle droids with it

Kinda wish the Boga chase was kept as that was a cool scene in the best prequel. (If I could ever get a beta rom I would port it to complete saga) and clean it up of course
They should have combined this and the Grevious fight into one level.
Exactly! At the beginning, you fight with lightsabers, then you chase him on the big lizard, then you fight him with just your fists and an electrostaff/blaster

Cool. If I were to come up with a way for someone to play as player two on that map, I would include Commander Cody on a speeder bike. Sure he was never in that situation with Obi-wan, but he also never helped Obi-wan help fight General Grievous like he did in the General Grievous level.

They should remake the complete saga with at least 10 levels per episode.

I'm nearly 18 now and i'm still buying LEGO Star Wars sets to this day! Thanks for making this game and LEGO such a big part of who i am today 👍

I would've killed for this as a kid. This was my favorite set and favorite part of the film, and the Grievous fight that made it in was so underwhelming.
I love how the creator of our childhoods is a UA-camr and can break down the entire game for us.
Upon discovering this level and the other cut levels, I'm fascinated by the idea of the game having seven levels per episode. Also, given the other cut levels had their minikits established , I'm also curious about what the completed minikit for this level could have been.

@@mikeestash9921 Sorry for the confusion, I could have elaborated further. *If* there was a Jango Chase through the asteroids, an officially-produced minikit of Jango's Slave I existed alongside the minikit of Obi-Wan's Jedi Starfighter (used for Kamino), and still has yet to be assigned to any level.

For a co-op, the only thing that I can think of would have been to make one player control the Boga, and the other controls obi wan. But I the level would have had to be redesigned almost entirely to accommodate this mechanic. Perhaps make the player control the Boga in SP instead of being on rails.

there was suppose to be a long Chase scene in revenge of the sith but they cut it out, just some animation scenes were made. im guessing thats the reason for this Level being cut out of the game, what TT didnt cut out is the scene were clones pretend to be jedi LOL
They could've done this like the Speeder Showdown level, where there's a huge chase sequence, then a final room where you do some course of action, in this case, fighting General Grievous. The final version of the level was really disappointing due to how short it was. :/
they probably could've done it where p1 is obi-wan is on the boga and p2 is commander cody on a speeder which would lead perfectly into the boss battle in the next level. they would probably have to make the walls a little wider though when they're traversing on the side of them since it doesn't look like there would be enough room for both players to traverse it properly but it could be because of the camera angle that it looks that way or make the end of the cliff a small rocky incline/ramp that the speeder goes through to cross the gap.
Hardly seen any deleted stuff from Lego Star Wars so this is very interesting

@@THEMARCKNIGHT it's a pretty obscure piece of info. Very few people would know the actual name of the species.
@@dweep9546 I agree, but i think it's weird that this information is not shared in businesses. For example the actor who played Hux (ep. 7/8), his character was written about in a novel, where it said Huxs first name was Armitage (sorry if the spelling is wrong). The actor came across this information in an interview and asked why nobody told him since he literary the one portraying the character, so at least he should know. Just think it's strange
-What would have been the obstacles in this level? I can kind of see Vulture Droids shooting you from above which you need to dodge, maybe Spider Droids.
-Would you be able to attack? A lizard shouldn't really be able to shoot.
I thought of that myself, especially since LEGO did release one that year (in the Turbo Tank).
Getting true Jedi and all the mini kits would have been a nightmare in this level
Every LEGO Star Wars video game is personalised
I have a few enemy ideas for this level if it were to make it to the final game.
First and foremost, the player will run into Crab Droids along the way. They usually sit on top of rocks and try to jump on you when you pass by them. But they can be avoided by moving to the left or right, depending on which direction the rock with the Crab Droid standing on top of it is at. Some will also walk on land and try to shoot you, but as soon as you pass by, they will turn left or right into battle.
Next, we have Octuptarra Combat Tri Droids that the player will run into. They usually move left to right and try to block the player's path while trying to shoot you. To avoid them, move left when they are right or move right when they are left. If you run into them, you'll bounce off of them while taking damage. Sometimes you might end up catching yourself bounce off 4 times, loosign 4 of your hearts and then respawning at the start or checkpoint, depending on your progress.
Andlast, Sonar Turrets. They will try to shoot you by firing two shots. Make sure to avoid them at all costs. Same as the Combat Tri Droids, bouncing off of them will cause you to take damage. If you catch yourself bouncing off them 4 times, you loose your four hearts and die.

Feels more complete than LEGO Star Wars 2 DS
This is really cool. I really wish that they had included this level as it's one of those scenes I thought was really missing from the game. As far as what they could've done for the second player, I think they could've had Commander Cody on a speeder bike. It wouldn't have been completely accurate but it would've been no different than Cody helping in the Grievous boss battle level.
He was one of the developers, so I'm sure he knows how they could have implemanted it.

they cut this level from ALL lego star wars games just because it was a 1 player only level and they couldn't think of a semi-canon or believable non-canon stand in for a player 2 role in the level....
mechanics wise this could've been the best level of the episode playthrough.

I hope the intro to the level was originally the part in revenge of the sith when general grievous said "General Kenobi, you are a bold one" that would make the game more meme wort- wait, how would the translate into grunts? 🤔
why every game i love has a scary beta? mario 64 was darker and had a lot of stars and mons, looking like a baby room, lego star wars had almost complete levels that ended up being scratched, sonic r looked like a creepypasta and minecraft is just minecraft

This is amazing a complete fully detailed and working version of this would've been so cool right before the grevious fight level, but I get the two player delema it wouldn't make sense for another person to play this level with you, it would go againts cannon, at the same time though Commander Cody fighting grevious alongside obi wan wasn't in the film either and you guys put that in the game.
As a kid, it genuinely bothered me that some of the cut levels could be seen in promo material, but weren't in the game.
Damn what a shame that this was never finished, it would be sick if this made it into the Skywalker Saga
"BOGA" chase, really? *Sigh* Everyday, the theory that a Brazilian troll is in charge of naming stuff in the Star Wars universe gets stronger...

Oh trust me, it's not just Brazilian. I mean the music style in the Cantina is canonically called 'jizz'. Yes really. I suspect it's just that when you name thousands and thousands of things a few of them are gonna be... funny.
The specis is called varactyls. Boga is the name of the varactyl that Obi-Wan rides.

Just finished The Complete Saga for the second time since it's release, I'm glad to see this level was cut because flight levels are tedious, especially in 2 players.

This would have been the only boga chase gameplay to ever exist if it was fully created. As far as I know there is no game to exist that has a boga chase of any kind in it.

So there were originally three more levels, then. I guess we got the extra from Episode 1 as a bonus level in TCS. We also got the extra extra from Episode 2 as part of the core game in TCS. But that really sucks that we never got this level in any release.

As a General Grievous fan and as a person who loved the lego games i would've loved to play this part of the game, just imagining this better rendered i get something, a feeling similar to dopamine

NotyourusualZero well considering Disney now owns Star Wars and considering this was created not only quite a while ago but under Lucas games - which Disney destroyed as well, he could probably dump it without getting in a shit ton of trouble, perhaps any trouble at all.
Well there is a former Eurocom employee who cannot leak the source code of a sixteen-year-old game from EA (who no longer owns the rights), a development team that went defunct for six years now, and a subsidiary that doesn't exist anymore without getting into legal trouble.
As for this game, Disney probably owns it as well and also makes money off games like The Complete Saga which are still sold digitally. And developers are under a long-term contract not to leak anything. There is a reason why leaked prototypes aren't from developers most of the time.
But Disney filling suit would cause the already dying Star Wars brand to be dead
I didn't realize the brand was dying. I thought it was the thing that sold well no matter what (unless you're the Solo film or the EA Battlefront series.) And Disney sure has the best reputation for the unsavvy public...

The clone who I think is named Rex should’ve just been riding one aswell for co op. It makes no sense but there is also co op in the pod racing level.

Okay so I know it's too late to really change this, (Unless you somehow do a Director's Cut of Lego Star Wars ala what you did with Sonic 3D Blast) but to play Devil's Advocate; one way you guys could've made this work for multiplayer would be to have one player control the Boga while the other player controls Obi-Wan, kind of like one of those two-man gun cars you see in some FPS games, except in this case, one of the players has a energy sword instead of a gun. (If anyone wonders what would happen if you played the level solo in this case, either an AI would control Obi-Wan/the Boga and the solo player would just control whatever's left, or both Obi-Wan and the Boga would be controlled by the single player)
Again, probably too late to really change things here, but I figured I'd offer one possible way you guys could've made this work. Especially seeing as apparently just having two Bogas on-screen would be out of the picture.
It’s be cool if in certain sections of utapea you see the 212th fighting droids on the background and maybe ships crashing into walls or something extra

I found a way this could have been two player. Let the other person play as general grievous like in the Anakin v Obi Wan fight.
The two player thing has always been a bit of an issue for TT LEGO Games. So many of the franchises they pick of scenes with only one protagonist, and a lot of the time they've got to come up with some crazy idea to get around it.

That's odd. Until this video, I heard the reason this level was cut was because it would apparently "spoil" an important scene in the movie because it released before the movie. I think even the Lego Star Wars Wiki mentions it that way.
Sounds unlikely. The Revenge of the Sith video game came out before the actual film as well and it basically contained the plot of the entire film in it.
