Stunning image, Jeroen. I can never get bored with the Cygnus region - so much to offer!! Always enjoy the videos and coming along for the adventure, especially on nights that I can’t get out! 🙏👌
Thank you so much Paul! I also love Cygnus! I think it gets overlooked by astrophotographers way too much. Looking forward to your next adventure also. Any hint...? 😇
Thanks Jan! The bunch of us just trying to get the most light polluted country in the world on the astro map as a beacon of hope that not all is lost! Just as you are succesfully doing from the Münsterland in my opinion 👌
Thanks Matej! I don't do it often because it's a lot of work. In this case though I had no choice. Maybe for the best! Because I was blown away by the results!
turned out really great, and thanks for the tip with the Cybnus region, since i got an 2nd hand astrmodded camera just recently, i need to try that out as well, cheers from autria!
Thanks again! Although I am loving my Z6 I still enjoy the Canon, especially combined with this plastic fantastic super lightweight 50mm lens of only about 130 euro's or something. I definitely agree you don't need the latest and greatest to get good results!
Great picture! You did a great job with all those panels. I have only done 1 astro pano and its a bit of a headache. Well done! Looking forward to seeing your pics with the astro modified Nikon 🤞🏻🔥
Prachtige shots Jeroen, zoals altijd 😁👌! De Cygnus regio is ook één van mijn favoriete targets en heel toevallig ben ik de mijne nu aan het editen... gewoon vanuit mijn achtertuin in light-polluted Maastricht genomen 😅. Tot volgende keer en keep up the good work amigo 🙏🤗
This place looks very similar to the "Truppenübungsplatz in Münsingen", Germany. It´s also a nice dark place with some options for composition like towers, trees and a church (not illuminated). You should visit it sometime in the future :) If you do, let me know, i would love to accompany you :)
Thank you! Basically what I do is make a longer exposure for the foreground and blend that back in in Photoshop with masking or sky replacement. If I do single exposures I just hope I could boost the shadows a lot. In The Netherlands though we always have some ambient light, which was also the case here.
@@StarScaperPhoto my problem is I am not getting enough of Rho haha. I want to shoot it with my 50mm next trip. I have a 24-105 lens I could use for a second canon and try to shoot Cygnus with that.
@@StarScaperPhoto haha. I wanted to capture it so bad 2 and half years ago when I first started do astrophotography but only had a chance to shoot it this year so yeah, I am a kid in a candy shop haha
That's an awesome result! I did a 100 Mp Milky Way pano a few years ago but my Astrotrac broke so I was stuck at 6s exposures with the 50mm. Getting inspired now to do a reshoot 🙂 If you don't mind me asking, where did you have your 6D modded?
Thanks Martin! It's a great way of getting some more detail in your results. Hope the next time will work out better for you. I had my 6D modded at a local company. I have never been really happy with that mod though. If you want to mod your device I advise you to seek out Markus Meel from astromodifikationen.de. He's done my Nikon and various mods and repairs on camera's of my astro buddies with 100% satisfaction.
Nice work and a great result. What SW did you use to stitch the pano together? I have a couple of milky way panoramas i just can't get to work in the programs I have tried...
Thanks! Nope, no ha filter. The camera is astro modified though. But Cygnus is so strong in h-alpha it doesn't need an ha-filter to stand out already I think.

@@StarScaperPhoto well that would be telling! 🤫 😉 🤣
Holy Moly what a detail, that is insane! Thanks for posting.
My pleasure Rob! It's really cool and not even that difficult to increase the details with a longer focal length. Just takes a bit more time.
Thanks for taking us along!! I'm kind of jealous of the Dutch community going out every so often! Great detail in that Pano!!

Ahh thanks man! Welcome to the channel!
WOW!!!! AWESOME SHOTS!!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thanks!
Great work on that Mosaic...! Very inspiring Vlog...!:)
Thanks a lot 😊
Beautiful panoramas Jeroen, very good work with the 50mm👏👏👏
Thanks a lot!
Wow :D you dont do this often! And the result looks great! Awesome pano :D

Thank you! Definately try out Cygnus with your modded cam! One of the most beautiful ha regions around there 👌.
Well tought out plan ther Jeroen, great example that you dont need the latest and greatest kit either. Beautiful HA region of the sky.

Thanks mate! Cygnus is geweldig! Tof dat je het gewoon vanuit je achtertuin kunt schieten ook.

That sounds like a very cool place! I'll keep this in mind if I ever come around there, thanks!
Love your videos 😄 could you maybe make a video about how to properly shoot a foreground like this one with so less ambient lights?
Thank you! Basically what I do is make a longer exposure for the foreground and blend that back in in Photoshop with masking or sky replacement. If I do single exposures I just hope I could boost the shadows a lot. In The Netherlands though we always have some ambient light, which was also the case here.
Nice pano! I have been eyeing this region last couple of trips but haven’t gotten a chance to shoot it. Maybe on my next trip 😊
Thanks man! I think you really should try. Especially at times where the core region just isn't available at logical times.

Thanks! I use PTGui.
tx. That’s one of the ones I tried but couldn’t get it to work on these frames. Guess I need to try again…
Hope so! You can help PTgui a bit if needed with adding control points.
Nice! Did you also stacked images per panel or only 1 image per panel?
Good question! The foreground are singles, the sky is 4 tracked shots per panel.
Great panorama and i think i have to astromodify my Canon 6D :D
Thank you! I love shooting with modded cams!
@@StarScaperPhoto i only have an 600d modded
Mooi gedaan!! :)

When was that photography session? Was it when it was new moon?
It was April 28th. About a 65% moon rose only around 03:30.
Bro are you excited for Comet Tsuchinshan Atlas ☄️
Always excited for a comet!
Jeroen, where are you sending to modify your Nikon Z 6.
