    • @jujubean7664
      @jujubean7664 4 роки тому +6

      @@loco3514 No. The Pleiades looks nice through a telescope, but it won't look nearly as good as the image. This is true will all astrophotography you see. This is because the camera is much more sensitive than our eyes, and it can do long exposures of multiple minutes. To get images like these you stack a few hours worth of individual images on top of each other. This allows the camera to see extremely faint things like the nebulosity in this image. Hope this helps!

    Hi Trevor - I'm usually not one to comment on your U-tubes because you do such a great job; you don't really need any constructive criticism... but this time I'm breaking with my usual silence...
    ...LOVED the quick shot of the Downy WP... 'Wish you would include just a few more of your birding shots in your U-tubes... It's all about the photography equipment, don't ya know!!
    Also, YES I remember the first time you brought out the gold accent WO132. This new version looks like a BEAST!! You've got to be approaching the weight limits of your EQ6 with 3 counter weights in place.
    You've taught me so much over the last several years. I finally broke-down and purchased a ES102 refractor; and, I got my first decent shot of Andromeda Galaxy a few nights ago. ...been working on it for 4 years, and finally understand the important role the equipment plays.
    Any way... Love your efforts and Love your U-tubes. Keep up the good work!

    Hi Trevor, as always you seem to exceed my expectations when I see your final image...
    I managed to capture the Orion nebula for the first time this season while contending with a 70% lit moon with a un modified dslr apsc canon with no filters, mounted to a expensive paper weight (meade LS"6) I managed X10 15sec exposures @ iso 800... then watched your video on deep sky stacker tutorial, and managed to get 6 stacked images into LRC to do the final edit, as I can't get my head around photoshop yet...
    I was quite chuffed with the final results for only my second attempt at shooting a deep space nebula with an unmodified camera...
    Keep up the great work as you inspire not only me but 100s other new astro imagers...

    This is my favorite object to look at in the night sky with the naked eye. Looking straight into the cluster with my eyes yields little to no results. I find most satisfaction when observing through my peripheral vision. In my eyes it seems to show the true scope and massiveness of the star cluster, viewing adjacent to the cluster yields true beauty in my eyes. It’s easy to see how our ancestors and their ancestors were fascinated by this cluster. Even in our now light polluted skies. Truly magnificent beauty to behold.

    Beautiful results Trevor - chapeau! You've made some great tutorials for processing nebulae, but if you get a chance, can you do a brief video on how you processed this particular image? I've always had some trouble getting the dust clouds right even when using a similar camera and exposures that you did. Thanks again for sharing.

    Beautiful work, Trevor. We’ve been so lucky with the weather in southwestern Ontario over the past few days

    I was capturing Pleiades on Friday night as well! I'm new to AP so my first time on this target as I'm sticking with the easier ones first. I live fairly close in Michigan, we seem to share a lot of the same clear skies, and all the CLOUDY ONES 😁

    Damn man THAT much nebulosity from B8 skies? Intense. No filter really paid dividends. Amazing photo and fully agree about the having to share the skies with everyone. It's such a fun and great driving force behind a super fun hobby

    Really awesome ! Amazing pic Trevor !
    Could you possibly do a video on how you power up all your gear ? Mounts , cameras , dew heaters etc .
    I find this aspect of astrophotography a challenge to say the least .
