Great video man 🤝 Much appreciated for the information, being able to learn from everyone is amazing! I absolutely love the trap set up. My great great grandfather on my mothers side used to use this exact set up, keep up the great work man 🙌🏽 10/10 🙏🏽
Excellent video Jim. I saw you post pictures of this style box a few years ago. Ever since then I have been changing out all my existing ones for this type. I put the wire mesh on the back though. I really like them. When the tree gets to big and starts flaring the box I just chainsaw off one of the 2 back pieces
Hey Jim Thxs for the instructional video maybe you could put a parts list and dimensions of boards in your description so they be easily reproduced by viewers.👌🏻👍🏻
I like the design and functionality Jim. Wanting to switch out my plastic boxes which do work well. Curious, do the squirrels not eat the bait? I wonder about a screen in the back and using another screen with compression fit to protect bait?
Last year found a box on my line too had to have been at least 20 years old made out of plywood. The animals had chewed on the sides, was a really cool find. Just goes to show you the heritage of what we do. Few industries can claim 400 years of harvesting..
Absolutely jim. It's always neat finding old stuff in the bush. I also found an old half rotten sled actually only a km or so from the box but must have been there 50 years. Keep up the great videos! -Luke

after seeing your box in person at the FHA convention, now i see why you make them the way you do.
Cheers Jim and welcome to YT!!
I had no idea of your channel Adam I added to my list.
I hope we are able to catch and keep marten before I can't trap any more. Great ideas on box construction.
Ya great video, good idea with the box construction, will copy this. Thanks I subscribed and thumbs up...
Thanks for the info Jim great video
I've been using the same box style since you had the article about them in the fur harvesters magazine

Great video Jim! I have a box set on my line that we found from a previous trapper and it has his name and the year 1985 marked on it.

Good job, Jim 👍
I love leaving my gear in strategic locations around the line, I'm just not sure where exactly. 😜
It has to be behind this tree or maybe that one. LMAO
Thanks for sharing!
How are you liking the round triggers? I was a sauvageau man, but I just had enough of the bad catches.
Still testing them, I had hoped to avoid squirrels and weasels but does not seem to deter them at all.
It was the low catches (hips) that was starting to really irritate me, so for at least my 120s I switched to belisles.
Just found and subed your channel , check mine out for some new ideas I have on trapping equipment .
I will.
