The raw fact that you did this project alone is heroic. I, too, have to do all my projects and repairs alone, but I find the result more satisfying than otherwise. Great share! 💯💯💯
Haha, thanks! I could ask my son to help me but that ends up being more trouble than it’s worth. Plus, like you said, it’s more satisfying knowing I did it.
It is an amazing rack. I’m stoked to have it. I’ll have to retrofit my previous projects to work with this one but that shouldn’t be too hard. Lots of potential for new projects on this one.
Haha, so she went out of town about a week before me, that’s when I swapped out the rack. Now we’re both out of town together (she hasn’t been home yet). The real test will be when we get home. I’ll keep you posted.
Great video, glad I found it! I'm currently deciding between this Omni, or their Apollo half rack, and it'll be going in an apartment bedroom - not a lot of space LOL! It's good to know it's possible to build this by yourself, since that's likely what I'll be doing when it comes! I hope you're enjoying the rack!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video. I do love this rack. The only downside of the omni is that Rep is moving away from this design and moving towards supporting the PR5000 with more attachment options.
@@KaizenDIYGym Well that’s a little sad to hear :-( i’ve been looking at the PR5000 V2 as well, but them saying it needs to be bolted down is what’s making me look at the Apollo and Omni. Bolting isn’t an option for me in my current place.
Isn't the PR5000 and the Omni the same thing with respect to uprights and hole spacing? Therefore wouldn't all the attachments fit both types of racks?
I don’t think she pays attention to my UA-cam channel. I won’t be posting anything about the new rack on instagram though because she definitely sees those posts.

gym cat helping with assembly! what a cutie
My animals are always curious about what I’m up to. Usually it’s not safe around the power tools but this time I let them hang out the whole time.
Kaizen DIY Gym I have the same rack. Looking forward to the things that build for it.

real question is did the wife notice?

Have a nice holiday!
Thanks! It’s been pretty amazing so far!
Looks good, buddy.
Thanks dude! I’d prefer some customization like yours, but I’m still pretty happy with it
@@KaizenDIYGym REP makes nice stuff, it's a solid choice.

VERY COOL !!! in 1 week 7:00 am EST ? ill be on a plane. come home tues am THURS . Finishing 7 projects.
Awesome! Safe travels! Which projects are you working on?
I am more curious about why you chose the box safeties over the other safeties available.
That’s simple, I bought the rack used.
Nice Purchase. However, Isn't the pullup bar upside down
Yes, I don’t have the ceiling clearance to install the pull up bar right side up.
Why did you go with the Omni rack over standard of pr5k?
It was a killer deal, second hand, $1k. I couldn’t pass it up.
@@KaizenDIYGym Damn. Definitely worth it
Nice new rack
Thanks! It is a major upgrade that was really overdue. I absolutely love it.
Legos for grownups . I could build these all day
Congrats on the new rack. What did you do with the Ethos one?
I sold it on Facebook marketplace to help fund the new rack
Let’s home the wife doesn’t watch his UA-cam lol

Smart move swapping a red rack for a red rack, like nothing changed....
