Maggie is the way to go!! Wish I could build out the ZL1 for track dominance but hopefully one day. amazing work brother, sincerity comes across clearly, from you and people appreciate that. God bless mate
I reached out to FHP for a build on my ZL1 maybe 2 years ago. Price was just a little higher than a local shop here in N.C. For me it was the long distance that swayed me locally. I love FHP content. Very down to earth. I have 1 question about this 2650 upgrade.....how in the world are you getting 900 whp without port injection? I have a dsx secondary pump with alky meth spray and my builder says its a no go without a fuel upgrade. Im currently at 750 rwhp and am considering the 2650 swap. Just asking, not criticizing. Keep up the great content!
Hey thanks for the kind words. This car is a manual with a camshaft, meth, and E50. The 2650 helps a lot up top. Nothing special on this build. Similar to yours. Follow the exact formula we applied to this build and you’re there. Any questions, holler at me. Erik
Its all about the most HP and TQ possible. I know some shops you have max numbers set based on the setup and won't push past that for long term reliability. Safe timing, safe A/F, certain PSI can drop HP by 100-200. depending. Anyway fantastic build
I’d be interested to know how much boost it’s seeing. I know those maggy’s are efficient. This would be an awesome race vs my 6 speed hellcat! Mine just put down 921whp and 900tq with a ported redeye 2.7l blower and e85. Mine was seeing 17psi on the top end.
We switched to 5w40 - which is typically what we will run in any of these types of builds. The heavier weight really helps to keep the lifters pumped up and happy above 7000 RPM...

The whipple was MORE than capable of taking that car to 1k hp if the IC pump was working and it was tuned right. Pulling the twin screw blower for the 2650 was a money grab. -------not a good look on this one.
At no point did anyone say the Whipple wasn't capable. A LOT of conversation between Dan and I was left out of this video. IN fact, the plan originally was to leave the Whipple and roll with it. It was the older 2.9, not the newer 3.0 first off - we discussed running a new 3.0. Dan was leaning toward a 2650 anyway, so we went that route. The car was purchased with the Whipple already on it..so it was easy for Dan to transition over. Secondly, since you want to blame me for money grabbing, I actually helped Dan sell his 2.9L to another client of mine who can greatly benefit from the 2.9 on his particular build..so not only are you dead wrong, but it is quite the contrary. I simply followed my clients wish, helped him sell his existing part, helped another client obtain a quality Whipple at a fair price, and everyone wins. Next time you accuse someone of something, have all the facts.
Not true, I've had customers insist on a particular kind of supercharger kit like this 2650 since it might come on stronger, more power under the curve than the 2.9 whipple unit he had.
I’m so exited to get in touch with you guys, hopefully soon. I just got my 2019 ZL1 with around 9k miles! Looking forward to working with you guys!

From working in an automotive shop I've a long time ago that honestly equals a returning customer all the time

@@Josh-hr5mc agreed…we are always on the conservative side in most cases
Is there port injection or just meth injection on stock fuel system ?
DSX low side, stock high side, dual nozzle meth

17 psi on this as well
Great video!! What is the correct oil for a build like this?
Rotella T6 5/40 Syn
Thats what i used to use on my 800 rwhp 2jz 300zx, people were like but it's diesel oil LoL.@floridahighperformance
@@dsmubznothing works hard than diesel engines- so I go with it…and so do many leading engine builders.

So you are telling that the car made the same numbers with stock blower. That's why you need to go RPM in Delaware

I see far more Whipples removed from 6th gen’s than any other aftermarket blower. I am not sure what’s going on but it’s a bad look.
@@corypierce202we use both- both work…depends on customer needs/wants. The 3.0 whipple is superior to the 2.9.
