Haha yeah I forgot to add those. I did make a leatherman sheath though, with belt loops --> ua-cam.com/video/18WR8wBlrnI/v-deo.html I put special effort in the belt loop in that video, since people missed it in this one 😉 Glad you like the video! Cheers, Tony

@@TonyNeedsHobbies No. I'm Honduran (lol). L I've been collecting pocket knives for all my life. There are a couple of islands off the north coast of my country. We get a lot of Dutch who come over for scuba diving. They are absolutely the nicest, friendliest people you can meet. As long as you don't support Spain or Germany when they are playing against the Netherlands in the World Cup! Cheers!!!
Wow that's amazing! I have my father's service knife. The military issued ones from the 70s are Victorinox Alox-type knives made under license by a dutch knife manufacturer. Little pieces of Dutch heritage, good to see them traveling all over the world. And thanks for being so nice about the Dutch! I like scuba diving, so maybe it is good to go to Honduras once and experience the Caribbean hospitality once more! Cheers!
@@TonyNeedsHobbies Thank you! My knife was made by AMEFA, I've seen the beautiful pieces of dining cutlery they make. You need to head over to Roatan, there are lots of swim throughs and tunnels. Lots of turtles, rays, giant crabs, flamingo tongues. Lots to see. I dive with Coconut tree divers. Look it up! It would be great to see you down here some day.
Hi William, that's a very nice compliment. Unfortunately I am focusing on improving my skills rather then selling the products. Maybe in the future... But the comment is appreciated a lot! Thanks!
Nice job and interesting video! There is only one thing I really don't like: the uncovered button on the inside. It will probably damage the knife over time. I bought a used Victorinox with a leather sheath that had a similar button, and you could clearly see on the knife scales where the button was, even on silver Alox. It would be even worse on colored Alox or Cellidor, I believe.
Hi Miklos, Thanks for the comment. That's an interesting point you bring up there. I haven't thought about it. Got my inspiration from the Buck 112 knife sheath and indeed that knife got some damage from the rivet/button. I will be making another one since I obatined the 2022 Alox Pioneer X - which is "thunder gray" in color. Would be a shame to have this color scracthed off by an improperly constructed pouch. I will most definitely take your remark into account. Thanks again! Tony
Hello Mario, Thank you for the confidence. Unfortunately I don't have the time to do a lot of commissions and I'm also not sure if my work meets the quality criteria to sell. Practically everything I make is for my own use until I'm sure the quality is top notch for potential buyers to enjoy for years. Cheers, Tony
I actually diluted it with just water. Probably it's better to use rubbing alcohol or something - actually I don't really know, but this did the trick for me. Thank you for watching my video!
Got that question before and I don't have an answer. I'll be making a pouch for a waiters corkscrew soon and will definitely add a belt loop. Thanks for the suggestion!
Thought the same, I would love them to have a belt loop, so I can hang it on my belt instead of throwing it in my purse. Great work and beautiful finish anyway! Congrats on many great hobbies @Tony
@@DreamingIconoclast It's a shame that I just see this wonderful comment today! Thank you for it. The next one - for my new 2022 Alox Pioneer X - will most definitely get a belt loop 🙂 Cheers!
Bravo Tony

Excellent work, very well explained tutorial and superb result.

No belt loop? Other than that, they look great, and you explained your process very well. Thanks for the video.

AMEFA indeed, that's the one. These days the Dutch army uses actual Victorinox knives, but the modern ones don't look as good as the vintage stuff.
I would really like one of those for my victorinox farmer x may I ask how much would it be possible to make it??? Very well made and very nice indeed

why no belt loop?
Good question! I just didn't think thing about it, but belt loops would be a good upgrade. Thanks for the suggestion!
