Chuck, I used to be a faithful viewer and commented on your live videos every Wednesday but for multiple reasons life got in the way and I no longer have that specific time slot available to me. I’ve forgotten how much fun, excitement and encouragement you bring to this craft. I’m carrying some of your joyful energy into the shop today to help me finish some projects I’ve been dreading. Thank you.
Chuck, here´s a huge Belgian fan. As a starting professional leathercrafter, every time I watch your tutorials, I find the tools and convidence I was looking for to work new projects out.
Chuck, I would have added a rivet at side of the opening into the sheath. Yes I have no doubt that the heavier thread will be sufficient to hold the sheath together. I always air on the side of “more is better”! These Utility holsters take a real beating with the tool going in and out. After awhile the leather is going to stretch and “May” come loose. In a previous like, I used a lot tools that were thrust into and pulled out of the holsters. I speak from experience. This is my opinion and only my opinion! All of you can make up your own minds whether to go the extra step or not. Best regards, Richard……
We have a vacuum sealer for storing food. I needed to make a holster for small pistol. I wrapped the gun in plastic wrap, put the leather around it and molded it with the the vacuum sealer. It worked fantastically! Let it sit in the sealed plastic for a bit then pulled it out to finish drying.
Agree! These are the best! I did the one for the box knife and it is still working perfectly. I just coated the leather with Sno-Seal since I like the natural leather patina.
Amazing as always Chuck. Thanks. Been promising myself new cable cutters for work. But hey if I'm going to that expense they need a sheath. And there we have it your latest video😆😉
Love your videos! They’ve come in handy when I’ve made various projects. I’d like to humbly suggest that you tie an overhand knot at the the end, rather than a square knot. The latter can actually work loose (that’s why it is also called a reef knot, meant for quickly untying in a storm at sea).
Nice video buddy. It's been a while since I got to watch you make something useful. I can't wait till I'm physically able to make things again. That is a nice pouch an you could easily add a smaller pouch on top of the outside for a smaller side cutter, making it a double tool holder. I liked that you left it natural. Looks better to me this way. Great job buddy.
when stitching i make a loop on one side to put the needle through so it tightens itself, so if one part of the thread is cut or damaged it wont unravel the rest of the project
Say there Chuck wished you would switch to a Black felt med tip pen , you can't see nothing on that white paper with a pen, try it every one will like it LOL
Tell me - what is the price of a complete set of tools in a fully ready-to-work workshop in the USA. We are talking not only about hand tools, but also about sewing machines.
I need to center this on the center line. ... Chooses a tool that is symmetrical and has an obvious center line. (not a criticism just thought it was funny)
Chuck should be considered as a national treasure. I love to watch him work.
Agree 👍💪👏💚🤠

Chuck's such a great teacher! He is so easy to follow and learn from! Thank you!
He’s a great teacher!
I feel like I am living in the year 2000 when I watch this.
When I would watch tv, people doing advertisements would talk like this.
I've done plenty of these wet forming projects and I still learned a few tricks from watching you Chuck. Thanks.
Fits like a glove! Great work, Chuck!
Thank you for another informative video. I don't know if anyone has ever said this, but I would have to say that you are the Bob Ross of leather.

Such a tool sheath was my very first leatherwork project. Really enjoyed watching this episode.
Great tip about not roughing the top grain where we want the layers to meet flush!

I love the enthusiasm in this channel. It makes me excited about a hobby the I honestly wouldn't have the patience for.
😊 Great job Chuck I will be watching you more and more.
Following your always interesting instructions, I have already made a cell-phone case using the wet leather molding system.
Many thanks again Sir ! 💪

@@shadowgolem9158 100% I really learned a lot I can use on the Mulit-Tool sheath I will be making, weaver leather is the best!

Cool project! I think I would assemble and then wet mold.
Nicely done !
Great video. God bless. From Glenn CATT in Massachusetts.
Hi Chuck. Great video. I would like to know. If you could do a video on neatsfoot oil. And keep up the great work.
Thank you Sir!
Luv your energi!😊
Thank you
Great post! I am curious how you handle non-symmetrical tools?
Шикарная мастерская. ❤

Great speaker….addicting to listen to him…he could make shit sandwiches interesting

👍👍👍
Hi Chuck...im new to leather, is it important to make patterns before any projects? ty
It help to keep you from making a mistake, and wasting leather.
@@Freeman-Dl70 thank you very much, appreciate it!
I would so we can make it again.
If you want to dye the leather, should you do so before wet molding?
I'd do it after it has dried from wet molding. That way the dye, would seep deeper into the leather.
🥰👍

Tens of thousands of dollars.

Why is there no sound ?
