I’m on the fence with this knife Aaron. I’ve found that every time I carry a 5 inch blade, something comes up that I wish I had a longer blade fixed blade knife on me (chopping or batoning). It is a sweet knife though and the handle looks great. I’ve been very happy with my RAT6 so far and will probably keep that as my choice for a fixed blade. Thanks for all of your continued hard work and excellent content you provide for us.
I would say 100% pick up the M7. That thing is a monster but somehow has good finesse and there are a few models on Amazon through my links that are $200 right now. It is a great blade for that price.
I’ll check the M7 out now. You’ve cost me quite a few dollars over the years Aaron, but then again, you’ve probably saved me even more because I’ve stayed away from stuff that you weren’t liking to much so I guess it all works out.
I really want the M7 but I already have a 9 1/2 inch Ferhman blade. A very nice knife indeed. I think I’m gonna go with the T5 mainly because I can legally carry up to a 5 1/2 inch long blade in Texas so this thing will be on me always. Not so much for protection because I have a Glock 26 on me for that. But you never know. It should perform great no matter what role it’s pressed into. Just so much better than a pocket knife.
I have a T5 with the black coated blade. I hunt bunnys, birds, and possums here in New Zealand. I've used it weekly for over a year now. A bit big for serious craftmen-like skinning jobs, but disemboweling bunnys to feel the eels in the creeks, slitting possum throats, I even decapitated a huge turkey I shot (sorry if that makes you squeamish haha) this is a great knife. It holds a good edge, and the knife has enough blade steel to take on a few bone crunching tasks, like bunny legs etc. I dulled the knife completely once cutting up an armchair... it didn't like the foam rubber cushions much... Hunting with it is good, and ya just gotta touch it up with the honeing steel at home later and it's back in bisniss, but dulling it needed my diamond stones. I had to re-sew the sheath though: the joining rivet for the loop and molle bit popped getting caught whilst climbing a wire fence. Otherwise, no probz. I haven't cut any wood with it, come to think of it.
@@MrBlessed70 Gidday mate, I sharpen it with the Fallkniven diamond stones e.g. DC4. Works realy well; then I stropp it. After a good lot of cutting I usually hone it with a honeing rod. It takes a edge well, and it's not as hard to sharpen like M390, for example. Hope that helps. God Bless :)
Hey Aaron, I have the Lionsteel T5 and believe it's almost perfect for an extremely capable fixed blade. Hunting, camping, and tactical bushcraft do everything knife. Great for field dressing game with the best handle ever designed for wet grip tasks. I love the sheath, but would 100 percent agree that a kydex sheath would be extremely beneficial. The M4 and M5 models are also great choices. I put a 17-degree mirror polished edge on this beast, and it's amazingly sharp. Mine has some battle scars already, at 72, I appreciate a good working tool, and this is one of my favorite tools. I got mine for $139 2 years ago. This knife was my choice over an Essee 6, which is still the same quality as the T5. Nilox is impressive and functional for all scenarios, but the handle is extremely comfortable. In your first review of this knife, you were impressed, and I was also. Reviews of the T5 are mostly positive, but the blade steel isn't a super steel. It will hold an edge just fine and has great value. Great video, Aaron, be safe, and have a blessed Christmas!
I also bought a T5 after your first review. Fantastic blade, tough, efficient and elegant...what else! Thank's long life to you, your family and one of the best outdoor channel. God bless all of you.
I've had a T5 for a few years now and couldn't disagree with anything you've said. Carried it lots in humid environments and never once have I oiled it. Zero rust whatsoever. I sharpened the factory 25° edge on the Wicked Edge and haven't had to sharpen it since. I will probably drop down to a 21° edge to improve it a little. The designer is a bushcrafter himself that probably beats on his designs more than 99% of owners do so there is a ton of experience behind the design features. Overall I'd rather have a ferro rod loop in the sheath instead of the molle attachment but otherwise its a damn near perfect overall package. I think dropping the edge angle a few degrees will improve finer tasks like feather sticking without compromising edge stability. I've hacked dead limbs off trees to make sticks for the dog on winter hikes, batoned firewood, chopped sticks and batoned through them to cut them to length without rolling, chipping or any noticeable edge damage. I think the steel choice is perfect.
Bought this after I saw your first review a couple of years ago. I love it and agree with everything you’ve said including the steel and sheath options. Thanks.
I own one but I'm just a collector who went thru a small fixy phase a couple of years ago so mine doesn't get used. But I can at least agree that the handle is by far the most comfortable in my hand and has better traction than any of my more expensive knives with much fancier handles.
I saw the old Gideon T on the T5 and pulled the trigger and bought to more models as well. To me, Lion Steel is as good as it gets. I am thinking of the T6 for ultimate survival knife?
I have the M2, M4, M5 and M7. All excellent blades. I’ve been tempted to get the T5 or T6 for a while now but just haven’t pulled the trigger yet. LionSteel makes great knives!
The handle is built like the older handmade louche handles I used to buy for my bows. The riser would drop into a fully laminated piece of hardwood art!
My current favorite knife :) Regarding kydex sheaths, aftermarket options are available; I picked one up from Armatus Carry, and it's excellent. One thing: My knife couldn't strike a fire steel at all (it has a coated blade, maybe that's why), but it was surprisingly easy to adjust the spine for this purpose.
The bigger Lionsteel M7 (Molletta design too), in Sleipner steel is a wonderful knife as well. This Niolox steel is even better, and the only defect they share is they are a bit difficult to resharpen. Anyway Lionsteel, Extrema Ratio, Fox, etc. are the pride of our fine italian outdoor cutlery.
I went this t5 over your other t6 recommendations. In the 6+ inch range I already have the Honey Badger, WTG Wolverine, Busses etc. In the 4+ inch range I have the BK16 and a few Bark River styles etc. Had a few GSO 5s etc but sold them ages ago. Was simply lacking in a good 5 inch tough lightweight blade. The leather sheath seems very compact and silent which I like. Everything else I have apart from machetes is Kydex but I do like quality leatherwork (quite a few of my daggers and hunters...super silent and compact)
Now I have it in hand.......I love the leather sheath. I really do. Its a keeper. Only other keeper leather sheath out too many other blades thats sheaths are kydex is the Busse Rodent 9, of whoms leather sheath is unsurpassed IMO (no.idea who.made it).
One thing Lynn Thompson said which i look for now in blades is a smoothly curving blade from butt to tip, meaning no long flat spot in the edge geometry. This makes the entire edge one big slice. Very effective efficient cutting power. My Espada xl has that and is very deceptively a huge cutter, far above its size.
I have a T6 in K490. LionSteel sharpness is one of the best out of the box. I keep mine in my work backpack. Had to use it a couple times to put down a couple deer this year when I hit them with my truck.
I have several blades from Lionsteel, including this one. I also have the bigger 6" with the Kydex sheath, but I think that one is different steel than the T5?. The M2M is in my EDC rotation, scout carry. I can't say enough good things about them. I support American Buck, ESEE, and Case, but the Italians make great stuff
If you're on an Ergo Quest and appreciate that Italian Style, i suggest you try the Viper Orion (Zirracote Wood handle option) The Orion.. A truly Heroic Blade built for the Bush, Camp and Hunt! Cons: Sheath only suitable for looks.. a secondary deep, bushcraft sheath will be needed.. but at it's price still very worth it! Highly Recommended!!
I have the M4 in M390 and it's been amazing, recently just got the T5 but I haven't taken it out yet. However when I held it in my hand I knew it was my favorite from the grip to just how beautiful the knife is, I'm going to enjoy using this one!
After your first review, I bought a T5 with the black micarta handle. Thank you 😊 Its a beast if a knife and does all the bushcraft tasks with no problem at all. The Niolox steel certainly holds an edge and doesn't rust. Plus the leather sheaf is a work of art. I also own their M5 which is a special edition in CPM3V, as well as the M4 with Bohler M390 steel. All are fantastic knives that do different things. The M4 throws the best sparks off its pommel base. But the best grip is the T5, and the knife feels indestructible. I would say its more of a heavy duty survival knife out of the 3. While the M5 is a little smaller, but still very capable. The M5 and M4 both have rounded spines so more difficult with your firestarter. The pommels are your friend 😉 I also have a Spyderco Urban CPM S90V, that is made by Lionsteel in Maniago, Italy. Which is a really neat little EDC. Lionsteel are a great brand and IMO gives you great quality and performance for a fair price. Keep the reviews coming, they are always appreciated 🙏 👍
Hi David I read you own both T5 and the CPM3V M5, 2 knives I'm hesitating between... If you could keep one, for all around bushcraft camp activities, which one it would be?
@gillessprecher4674 Hi, yes, I do have both knives. To choose between them is really hard. They are both excellent, and you'd be happy with either of them. If I could only have one for bushcraft, I think it would be the T5. The handle is so ergonomic and comfortable in the hand, and the blade is a bit of a beast but will easily handle all bushcraft tasks. It can also be used as a firestarter. The M5 I have is a special edition with CPM3V steel and is lovely. It's very tactile and a bit more subtle than the T5 being slightly shorter. The blade isn't as broad, and the knife is lighter. Again, it easily handles all bushcraft tasks. However, it has rounded edges on the top of the blade and pommel, so firestarting isn't easy. You would have to straighten a rounded edge to use a fire steel. Both knives have the same fantastic leather sheaf. Either knife would serve you well, but the T5 edges it for me, but only just. I hope that helps.
@@gillessprecher4674 Keep in mind guys that M5 isnt full tang knife!- under handle has milling in steel material. T5 is full tang-thats why in my opinion T5 is better option
I have the T5 and M7 because of your reviews, and they are amazing, though I don't use them a lot. I also have a B35 which gets almost daily use (EDC around my farm, but I'll pull it out in a restaurant to cut my food). I can't really comment on the Niolox, but I can say that the Sleipner is a little softer than I expected, but correspondingly easy to sharpen.
Great review on the best designed fixed blade I own. Just wanted to give you a heads up that LionSteel does now offer kydex sheath for the T5, though I believe they only sell them separately as an upgrade. I bought one this week, and it’s a fantastic sheath. As a side note, I would really love to watch you review LionSteel’s new KC-01 survival knife, which is similar to the T6 but I think a serious improvement in various ways. Always a pleasure watching your work, Aaron. Cheers and God bless!
I have had the Lionstell t5 for a couple of years. It is a sturdy, sharp knife and very comfortable to use. However it is also rather heavy. I would like to see and alternative with wooden handle that should make it lighter and also warmer to touch wit bare hands.. Another thing that I like to see is a cnange of the belt loop of the sheet. It is almost impossible to attach a Casström dangler to get it hanging lower because it is to broad at the top of the sheet.. In Sweden at this time of the year I often use a down parka expedition style or an Anorak. They normally end at the end of your bum. To have the knife attached directly to your belt makes it difficult to get to without unzipping your jacket and and pull up you pullovers.
Yup, got one. Was my Edc for a while. Great sheath but I needed a kydex for edc. Bridges the gap between too big & not big enough. Big Niolox fan. great for airlines & pigtails & gladhand washers
I saw the old review on Gideon Tac on the T5 and pulled the trigger, and bought it and bought two more models as well. At this price point it beats all the others that are custom USA knife makers like LTW, Barkriver, Benchmade, Tops, Esee etc. To me, Lion Steel is as good as it gets. I am thinking of the T6 for ultimate survival knife? Thanks for the heads-up reviews Aaron 👍 I trust your opinion.
I bought the T5 based on ypur review to add to what I already have. I find it to be a very capable design. I agree there is not much out there on the Nilox steel. It is a solid steel.
Great review! T5 have been on my shopping list a long time. After this review I just have to got this.. Seemas like a great design. Also love the sheath. Cheers from the village of Fiskars, Finland!
Nice knife. Right away i noticed the one piece "taco" style handle the full tang slips into. Nice touch. I prefer longer blades. I EDC a cold steel trailmaster to give you an idea what i mean. But this knife albeit short, has a good grind on the blade and every inch of the blade is usable.
Will be my next to pick up and try. Just ordered the White River Ursus 45. Crazy thing is the Lionsteel isn’t that much more than the ESEE 4 with the 3D scales.
Hey Aaron, enjoy your videos very much, you have the right amount of knack and knowledge to keep it interesting 👍🏼👍🏼,, fate seeing your first review of the LS T5, had to have one,, this will be my go to camp knife, love the look and feel of this awesome blade. Thank you for the great Review,, Keep Rocking it Brother 👊🏼
If you can, try to get your hands on a William Collins knife. Most recently, I picked up one of his Johnny Ranchers (have a few of his blades)--I think that you will be very impressed.
In March 2023 I bought a sample of Spanish craftsmanship in the Joker Arrui 9 CO64 fixed blade hunting knife designed and meticulously crafted in Albacete, Spain. The knife features a sturdy & sharp Stainless Steel 420 blade with a hardness of 52 - 54 HRC. The leather sheath is the best leather sheath I’ve ever owned. And the knife & sheath only cost me $35. I know Lionsteel makes some decent knives but frankly I’m not interested right now. But thanks for the enthusiastic review, Aaron.
this comment is a little funky? I'm a huge joker knife person myself and have a few models. they all generally retail for about 80-120 on amazon currently. And this knife retails 145-170. this also comes in a little larger by the inch then anything joker offers often in stock. I can see these two brands being in a very similar category right now price wise with one targeting very traditional thick wood knives and the other being a combat bush hybrid. As a martial artist and bushcraft i appreciate both so much.
I have a M5 with Sleipner steel and black G10 handles since some years as a hunter, but don´t use it any more. Two things I didn´t like at it. 1. The blade is to high. Straight cuts no problem, but if you want to do some fine work it works poorly. 2. The steel of the fulltang stands slightly out of the grip at the M5, and if you do some hard work with it, the steel of the tang hurts your palm.
Looks good. Still waiting for a review of the TBS Grizzly Buschcraft Survival Knife. It would be a good comparison to this Lion Steel T5. Keep up the great work!
Gorgeous blade Aaron and another great video 🙌🏼 I hope you enjoy your holiday with friends and family as well ❤️. Unfortunately we won’t be having any kind of Christmas this year and it kills me because we usually go all out for Christmas but we have had no heat or hot water for the entire year and we have a very hard time finding apartments for 6 people. We have to be out by January 2nd, probably end up in a hotel, always next year right 🙏🏼
I havent had the chance to try out that steel, but it does look very interesting, So does the design of this knife. I would like to see a dangler added to the sheath, so it wouldn't get hung up when moving through the woods.
I have never fallen to peer pressure. I've never made a purchase due to someone else's opinion... untill now. I just ordered this knife because of this video. 😂 can't wait to get it in hand.
Got it yesterday. Played with it a little. It is 99.9% my ideal knife. Love it. I am going to make a kydex sheath though. I do think that will make it better.
I've been on the fence between the M4 and B35 for edc. I've wanted the m4 forever but the B35 looks a little closer to my preferred size. The only answer is to buy them both!
@@FancyPrimate I do wish the handle on the B35 was a smidge thicker, but it’s not uncomfortable. It works well, I just have stiff arthritic hands and a fat handle feels more secure to me.
@@gideonstactical I only own two knives north of $200. The T6 just kept screaming at me since they announced it at blade show and it took forever for them to release it, which made the anticipation that much worse. When it finally dropped, I instinctively sprang on it. I’m glad I did. I love it!
This is an awesome review of the T5. I've had the knife for years and it's awesome especially the handle ergonomics. T5 was my favorite knife until i came across the M311 from ANV knives. M311 handle ergos in my opinion is the closest thing we can get to a perfect design. Bought both knives based on your review. Watching your vids have become a bit painful to my bank account man 😂
Thought it looked familiar. I bought a Lionsteel Moletta when you reviewed it last and it has become my fave go to knife. I wouldn't want anything smaller than that 7" blade. Amazing balance and those Lionsteel grips are indeed amazing. Think I'll just keep using my Moletta.
I purchased this knife based on your review, however when I got it and tried to put it in its sheath the retaining band would not reach the snap button, maybe I got a defective sheath, so it got returned and in turn I bought another one of your recommendations, the Ursus 45.
I own that same knife. I've not taken off the micarta to see if it is in fact full tang. There are a few Lionsteel knives that are advertised as full tang, however when you take them down you will see that they are hollowed out tang which is very disapointing. I really like blade steel, wouldn't change it...especially given that it's purpose is an outdoor knife. It's one of my favorite knives.
Skeletonize handles don’t bother me at all. I have yet to break a skeletonized knife in the handle area. I care way more about stock, durability and tip durability.
I actually have that knife and really like it. It holds an edge really well and I find it easy to sharpen in the field. I also own the t6 in cpm 3v ,another great knife, but prefer the t5. Keep the great vids commin. Take care and be safe
Looks like an awesome knife. The "canooed" handle seems like a good thing as long as the tang fills a good 90% of the depth. There are 3 things I'd like to see differently and they are: 1st and foremost, get rid of the choil. 2nd, make the centerline go all the way to the point rather than jut above it, and 3rd, give it a coating.
Aaron, do you have any suggestions for a custom kydex sheath supplier/ vendor for the T5. I would appreciate any information or suggestions. This is my favorite fixed blade tool. It does everything extremely well. I feild dressed 2 deer with it, and it was still shaving sharp. Thanks Bob
@gideonstactical Aaron, thanks for the info on the kydex sheath I checked it out, and it looks like a great upgrade, especially with the dangler added.! PERFECT! THANKS BOB Have a blessed Christmas
After watching your excellent demonstration I contacted Lionsteel+ they said they were out of Stock! Worth waiting for. you talked me out of that bill hitchcock switch blade Cuz moving parts could go wrong
Sweet lookin knife!! Kinda k-bar meets bushcraft style. Right off the bat my only complaint is the small choil. I have to have a decent sized choil on my fixed blades. My favorite knife at the moment is my limited edition Treeman Pathfinder (multicam camo). Do it all knife! I do kinda wish it was S30V steel but its 01 tool steel. Which is still nice cause it can be sharpened with a rock but it could also rust if im not careful. Awesome video as always man!!⚔️🪓
I just ordered an M7 after watching a couple of your reviews and I would like your opinion on whether you would add the M5 or the T5 to carry more often when hiking/hunting/ camping. I don't really know the biggest differences between the 2 and am not finding much online related to comparisons. Just want to get the best one being that I already have the M7 coming. Thank you in advance!!!!!!
First off great choice on the M7. I love that blade and has replaced several of my larger choppers and midsize Survival knives since it’s such a good balance. The M5 is relatively compact and the T5 is in that midweight size range. If you were planning on always taking the M7, and you’re looking for a blade to do the smaller work I would actually look at the M4. If you’re looking for a blade to take when you don’t want to take the M7 with you cause it’s too big, then I would go with the T5. I would say the M5 & T5 are redundant and too big if you’re going to be using the M7 on the same outing. Hope that helps👍
That is exactly what I was looking for ! I really appreciate it!!!! In your first review of this knife, you were impressed, and I was also. Reviews of the T5 are mostly positive, but the blade steel isn't a super steel. It will hold an edge just fine and has great value.
Great video, Aaron, be safe, and have a blessed Christmas!
Thanks!
Appreciate it so much!!! Thank you and have a merry Christmas
I also bought a T5 after your first review. Fantastic blade, tough, efficient and elegant...what else!
Thank's long life to you, your family and one of the best outdoor channel. God bless all of you.
Thank you so much!! Be blessed my friend
I've got the M7 after seeing it here my newest knife is a trc apoclypse
You forgot most important part: cost??

I feel like these should be more popular. Lionsteel definitely produces some gems.
Bought this after I saw your first review a couple of years ago. I love it and agree with everything you’ve said including the steel and sheath options. Thanks.
Thanks for sharing! Glad it is holding up for you.
I own upwards of a dozen Lionsteel knives - folders and fixed. Great quality, great esthetics. Great knives.
I have the T5. It’s a great knife. I have a few fixed blades from Italian manufacturers. I have yet to be disappointed.
I have the Lionsteel M5 in CPM 3V, but i removed the hump from the spine, and made a 90 degree section on the spine, great blade.
That 5' blade is the perfect all-around size for me, the canoed handle is better than scales, but, of course, I'd like to see it in Magnacut .
You and me both!
I just bought the Lionsteel M4 in Magnacut. My next one will be the T5. What a looker. I agree: Outdoor recreation is soul restoring
Couldn't agree more!
Wyatt Earp certainly approved of the idea of canoeing.
You were right about this video being a stunning, large sized, wild hand ride!
Love this knife I've had for 4 years now still holds strong
Nice seeing the T5 again. This is my favorite 5" fixed blade in my collection. Mine is the black micarta variant.
I have the M2, M4, M5 and M7. All excellent blades. I’ve been tempted to get the T5 or T6 for a while now but just haven’t pulled the trigger yet. LionSteel makes great knives!
No they dont
@@tacticalcenter8658Yes, they do.
@@tacticalcenter8658yes, they absolutely do.
More companies should design handles this way. Cold hands are no joke for those of us that live and hunt in the north.
Haha 😂 for real my friend
The handle is built like the older handmade louche handles I used to buy for my bows. The riser would drop into a fully laminated piece of hardwood art!
My current favorite knife :)
Regarding kydex sheaths, aftermarket options are available; I picked one up from Armatus Carry, and it's excellent.
Molletta style is always super-maxi-ultra-mega cool. Viva l' Italia 👍
I like the idea of nesting handle!
I really have no complaints about my T5. I’d like to push it harder on an extended trip. Thanks for your review!
It’s great to see so many people loving this blade.
Howdy and thanks for the review! I have 5 LS and love them all…agree the T5 is the most practical and feels awesome in the hand! Saddle up!
Totally agree!
The knife and sheath are both very high quality. The sheath ride height was a bit tall for me so I added a ring and small drop loop.
I have a T6 in K490. LionSteel sharpness is one of the best out of the box. I keep mine in my work backpack. Had to use it a couple times to put down a couple deer this year when I hit them with my truck.
I have the M2M and M3 in my collection- truly great knives. They are the only non-American knives I have (I'm a Brit).
Very cool! 😎
I had no clue it was single piece of Micarta. That is amazing! Lionsteel loves their integral designs. Thanks for reviewing this one! (again)
You are so welcome!
If you're on an Ergo Quest and appreciate that Italian Style, i suggest you try the Viper Orion (Zirracote Wood handle option)
The Orion.. A truly Heroic Blade built for the Bush, Camp and Hunt!
Cons: Sheath only suitable for looks.. a secondary deep, bushcraft sheath will be needed.. but at it's price still very worth it!
Highly Recommended!!
I own a T5 and agree with everything you’ve said. It’s an amazing blade/tool!
Sick!! its great to hear so many of you have a great experience with the T5 as well.
I have the M4 in M390 and it's been amazing, recently just got the T5 but I haven't taken it out yet. However when I held it in my hand I knew it was my favorite from the grip to just how beautiful the knife is, I'm going to enjoy using this one!
I have it’s big brother the M7 and it is a beast! The handle is one of the best ever.
Couldn’t agree more!
The pommels are your friend 😉
I also have a Spyderco Urban CPM S90V, that is made by Lionsteel in Maniago, Italy. Which is a really neat little EDC. Lionsteel are a great brand and IMO gives you great quality and performance for a fair price.
Keep the reviews coming, they are always appreciated 🙏 👍
Hi David
I read you own both T5 and the CPM3V M5, 2 knives I'm hesitating between...
Thanks for your insight!
I feel the T5 is more versatile and functional, but the M5 design is so beautiful... Hard choice :)
@@gillessprecher4674
Keep in mind guys that M5 isnt full tang knife!- under handle has milling in steel material.
T5 is full tang-thats why in my opinion T5 is better option
T5 have been my best friend on out door adventures
I just ordered one. Looks like a great knife.
M5 owner here. Love it!
Right on!
Thank you so much for showcasing the T-5 . This knife is capable of dispatching all tasks .
My favorite knife in my collection.
Really appreciate the feedback!!
A true work of Art. I love mine !!
I bought the T5 based on ypur review to add to what I already have. I find it to be a very capable design. I agree there is not much out there on the Nilox steel. It is a solid steel.
Awesome! And glad the blade is holding up to the expectations, thank for sharing Ron 👍
I have one with a black blade, and it's that good. Great feeling tool.
Trail master for EDC sounds awesome
Lynn, is that you? 🤣🤣🤣
My question is: how long does this knife last in Joe X's hands?
Not sure, but is has more then surpassed my expectations after two years of use.
long enough to break it by doing idiotic testing and call it "shit knife".
Bought it back when you reviewed it first! Very happy with the performance.
Great to hear!
Great Video. Lionsteel makes some Awesome Blades, I bought my T5 back when you did the first video and then I bought the M5 and the M4 ..... 👍🖖
It's nice and cool. Very handy.
Very nice knife. Price point is decent given the quality you describe.
I have a lion steel M5 Hunter and I love that son of a gun it was actually your recommendation that I chose that particular knife Thank you.
man I so like these videos
also the nature in them
It is so beautiful out there!
@@gideonstactical where is that in USA,in which state ?
Will be my next to pick up and try. Just ordered the White River Ursus 45. Crazy thing is the Lionsteel isn’t that much more than the ESEE 4 with the 3D scales.
Hey Aaron, enjoy your videos very much, you have the right amount of knack and knowledge to keep it interesting 👍🏼👍🏼,, fate seeing your first review of the LS T5, had to have one,, this will be my go to camp knife, love the look and feel of this awesome blade. Thank you for the great Review,,
Keep Rocking it Brother 👊🏼
Aweesome Blade! I have one Lionsteel pocket knife that i won in Maniago 2016 yup exactly in town they are made :)
Awesome!
Love that handle design Stunning knife overall 👌
I know where people can get an awesome kydex sheath for this knife. 🤨 Great vid!!
It’s a great knife !
We have to be out by January 2nd, probably end up in a hotel, always next year right 🙏🏼
I am really sorry to hear that Rich. Give me an email gideonstactical@gmail.com
I just bought one of these a few hours ago, good timing!
Hope you enjoy it!
I havent had the chance to try out that steel, but it does look very interesting, So does the design of this knife. I would like to see a dangler added to the sheath, so it wouldn't get hung up when moving through the woods.
Nice review. I have a couple of Lionsteel fixed blades...the B41 and M5. Both of mine are made from Sleipner steel and are very good knives.
I have never fallen to peer pressure. I've never made a purchase due to someone else's opinion... untill now. I just ordered this knife because of this video. 😂 can't wait to get it in hand.
Awesome! Please follow up and let me know what you think of it once you get it always appreciate your guys feedback
Got it yesterday. Played with it a little. It is 99.9% my ideal knife. Love it. I am going to make a kydex sheath though. I do think that will make it better.
I have the B35 as my edc, and the M5 with the T6 combo for my woods carry. Lionsteel is one of my favorite brands.
I need to try the T6 is just expensive! That is part of what makes the T5 so good and even the M7.
I love it!
Really solid review. I subbed.
Thanks for the sub! And welcome to the GT family. Have the T6 & B40 Coming soon
@@gideonstactical Sounds good. Crazy cool time to be a knife enthusiast. So many amazing designers and steels. Really amazing.
Watching your vids have become a bit painful to my bank account man 😂
Hahah right on!! The m311 is also awesome but a slightly less aggressive micarta would be great.
Yep, I own this blade and it is epic.
Wow! So weird, never heard that happening but the Ursus is always a great blade!! Hope it serves you well.
I own both the T6 and M5 in cpm 3v Both are awesome.
2nd, make the centerline go all the way to the point rather than jut above it, and 3rd, give it a coating.
awsome getting one
Aaron, do
you have any suggestions for a custom kydex sheath supplier/ vendor for the T5. I would appreciate any information or suggestions. This is my favorite fixed blade tool. It does everything extremely well. I feild dressed 2 deer with it, and it was still shaving sharp.
Thanks Bob

Yes, the edge retention is excellent.
@gideonstactical Aaron, thanks for the info on the kydex sheath I checked it out, and it looks like a great upgrade, especially with the dangler added.! PERFECT!
THANKS BOB
Have a blessed Christmas
I am a city boy that has gotten more and more country in my later years, and though I know a thing or two about firearms, knives and the outdoors is something I am not as well versed in, but I have gone down the rabbit whole of hunting, off-roading, and everything outdoors, so please keep up the content!!!
