Like I said, a meme game. Boks literally went out there to have fun and try some things. If they had to take it seriously they would not have run it from everywhere and play a more structured game etc. It was also probably doing Gatland a favour too. I don't think anyone really wanted to see Wales lose by conceding 70+ points. For me it was like a baabaas game.
I thought Pollard did fantastically. Considering that he is a 10 having to play at 12. To all the naysayers that say he is just a 'kicker', he showed his class. He is still my first choice for 10 but we are fortunate to have such depth in the squad🎉🎉.
Chantal, I am the same as you! I love Handre Pollard. I think he has been a wonderful Springbok and anyone who says he is just a kicker has not been paying attention.
Thanks Sean. Always great having you in the comments! 2025 will be tough ... we'll have two away in New Zealand but what an opportunity to create more history!
Nice one, David. Yes, a blast from the past. Where I was actually going with the thought was the idea of brothers effectively playing as a combination so the Hendrikses were 9 and 10, the Du Plessis' were both in the front row. Sadly the Ndunganes (twins!) never played together for the Boks. The Du Plessis' in the 80s were also in various positions. Not exactly the same thing but Mark Andrews would have scrummed behind his cousin Keith in 1994 ... and I guess Keith would have lifted Mark in the lineout!
@@frontrowrugbyI know it was sad that we never got to see Akona and Odwa together but I sometimes wonder if they were switching at half time? The original Bomb squad maybe? 😂 Also, Pieter and Chris Russouw, especially with the stormers
@@frontrowrugbyyou know something that I have just been thinking about, it’s because so many of our Boks have come from young age group level players together, that they have such a strong history together is what makes them have a sixth sense on the field?
I'm not bothered by any of that. It's usually just stereotypes anyway. No matter how much our game evolves many still talk about us as a power team with brutal forwards and nothing else to offer. I think the perceptions of fans are the same. I really think most supporters are nice people who are just passionate about their team. Then there's always the idiot who somehow then defines an entire fan base. Like I say, I don't buy into that stuff. PS Do you think I come across as arrogant?
Outstanding analysis, well done! 🍻🤘
Thank you so much, Adam. Appreciate it.

Yeah I'd go along with that. First half was more entertaining but it was nice to see the Welsh fight.
Thanks!
Thank you so much!! Really appreciate your support!

Excellent analysis Peter! A great way to end the Boks way- let's hope that 2025 will be an even better year for the Boks!

Peter, Naas Botha played with his brother Darius

@@frontrowrugbyI’m a Durban boy, so I maybe have shark eaten glasses

Haha, they could have switched and no one would have known!
The Rossouws were indeed at the Stormers together. Very cool.
Perhaps an ounce of humility will assist us in debunking the views of us as Saffas being arrogant.

Feel bad for the Welsh, they need time. They'll bounce back.
I agree. They are a proud rugby nation. They'll be back. Just need some time.
sent 20 mil of our people to Wales
Haha, we are taking over!
