I came here to get your opinion on The Ordinary Multi Peptide Serum. And, that’s what I received! Thank you! I know that others mentioned that you did other things for your hair…but, who doesn’t? I do a lot of stuff for my hair. I’ve made my own hair oil which is very potent and strong. But I still use the ordinary serum every single day because like she said, it’s so freaking lightweight that you can just use it every day in your hair will not get oily at all. Which is very nice because typically I can’t use the oils that I make every day. I just use them a day before washing or the night before washing my hair because they are heavier and they will make my hair look really oily. It is aided in my hair growth journey.

      What's in your homemade hair serum?

    • @lahdb4047
      @lahdb4047 Рік тому +27

      @@TubBunnyChews i am so glad you asked because it works very very well, if you try it, I guarantee you will see hair growth
      I mixed equal parts of almond oil and grapeseed oil in a jar and I put a tiny bit of castor oil in too. I use less castor oil because castor oil is thicker and I wanted to actually be absorbed by my scalp and not just sit on top. Then I added some peppermint essential oil drops. And rosemary essential oil drops. I think I added about six drops of each. When it comes to the essential oils you want to make sure not to add too much. I had about half a cup of each of the oils so about 6 to 7 drops of essential oils is more than enough. Because if you add too much, it can make you lose hair, so just be cautious when it comes to that. It will be effective. I also put dried rosemary leaves. I got them Amazon. You’re supposed to use dried rosemary if you don’t want it to mold or something.(so I was told.) and I let that sit by my window in the sun or by my heater for about two weeks. It takes a long time to make but it’s good because I’m lazy so I just forgot about it and once the two weeks is over in the oils have infused, I transfer it to a dropper bottle (old Miele bottle).
      Then I started using on my hair before shampoo. But I don’t leave it on for just a few hours because it takes so long to make and for me I see great results when I leave it on for a day or overnight. I love leaving at all as long as possible. But I make sure to cover it with a plastic shower, cap or scarf. And I use the same jar to make it again so by the time I’m done I have more. You should just make sure to cover it so that your pores don’t get clogged on your scalp. When you cover it with plastic or a shower cap, your scalp can get warm and absorb the oils better and you won’t get your sheets her stuff dirty I like to put two plastic caps on and then rub it in some kind of cloth may be an old T-shirt or a scarf.
      I really really recommend it like I used to use the Millie rosemary oil, and I loved it but when I’m telling you, I’ve seen insane hair growth from this I mean it like I see so many baby hairs. It’s insane. I really really love it and the truth is it’s not that complicated once you have all the ingredients. And you can keep re-making it and without a doubt I would say it’s stronger than ones I’ve bought in the past

    I been using this same product for over a year now and I have the same results. Never did the research but just stumbled on this product at sephora and took a chance on it. The best purchase ever made. Since I was 10 years old I've struggled with hair growth and I've tried many products. When I first used this product, the state of my hair was so bad. It was thin, damaged and I had many bold areas. I use to fluff the back of my head to avoid comments on my bold spot. Now I dont to do that anymore. My hair is longer, fuller and healthier.

    Came here to let the thin-haired ones know that they should NOT apply it to wet hair. You'll just get flattened hair with a great nice viewing of your scalp partings. Unless you're into that, it's best to apply it to dry hair at night; it's much better and easier than you think.

    Hi, Doro! I love your videos and positive vibes so much! 🥰 I wonder, how is it possible that you do all of this stuff to your hair: oiling, massage, complicated routine, different treatments, but it’s only this serum that made your hair denser? were all of your hair treatments and procedures not so effective? This thought kinda made me feel upset. I am new to all of this haircare routine and I am really confused.

      As I'm sure you already know, youtubers make money from number of views, subscribers, an ultimately sponsors.
      Because of this, they have to always be thinking about their next content/upload, to keep people interested and viewing.
      Since Doro's channel is based on hair and hair care, she has to always find new content to post...hence all the different treatments/oils/products.
      She does all these hair treatments bcz her youtube channel is based on them.
      I know there is a LOT of info. on the web (especially you tube) about the latest and best hair treatments, but it's important to remember that not everything works the same way for everyone, and what may be the 'BEST' for one person, may be the 'WORST' for the other.
      Also, important to remember that genetics is the key factor in having great hair. If genetics are not so wonderful, no amount of products/oils/treatments/etc.. will change that.
      What is it you're trying to accomplish on your hair journey?

    • @mydogeatspuke
      @mydogeatspuke Рік тому

      Were any of the treatments called minoxidil? Because rubbing oil into the scalp doesn't make hair grow. Minoxidil does though.

    I've started using quinine water and my hair is getting thicker.. At the begining, I was losing tons of hair due to telogen effluvium and my hair and head looked horrifying...
    I was obsessing with my problem and started seeking ways to prevent my hair falling out. I started buying growth capsules for 100$ a box and the dermatologist just kept giving me expensive products, until I had it.
    I started looking for 100% natural shampoo and conditioner.
    Used almond oil on my scalp, every night.
    Started using rosemary oil, and currently, my hair feels fuller, thicker and healthier thanks to me stoping going to a dermatologist that saw me as a piggy bank, and started buying cheaper 100% bio shampoo/conditioner and quinine water.
    Quinine water did wonders for me.
    This is my story so far for the past year - two..
    Stay strong and there are cheaper ways to deal with this but most importantly, don't lose hope - negativity also affects the results.

    I feel like i have to keep bringing this up in everyone of these videos: castor oil is heavy for us fine hair girlies. Lot of products meant for fine hair have heavier oils in them that weigh our hairs down, frm what i see. Learn abt basics of oils and what kind of hair you have. And just like how you buy shampoos and conditioners for your hair, you should similarly look for hair oils and serums for your hair and look for products that have ingridients for your hair. For example if you have thick curly hair, and the product has almond oil in it, you are not gonna see results. For thicker hair you need to look for: avacado oil, coconut oil (protein rich), olive oil, castor oil..etc. for finer hair: grapeseed oil and almond oils are our best friend (help with frizz too)..and if u have itchy, inflamed scalp or psorasis on your scalp, apricot oil is good for that. Just use products that have ingridients good for your hair type. Personally as a fine hair girlie myself, i do not trust any produtcs that have castor oil in it. Also i doubt with a product like this, the Ordinary product is only one that worked. It seemed she did other things that helped as well.

      @@nidz_ in case your scalp is oily, like mine is, the serum is likely to weigh it down but that isn't bothering as such (the texture is as liquidy as it can be) since I used to shampoo every 3rd day before picking this product up and I'm continuing with the same. Just this and nothing else, I've emptied bottles and seen baby hairs grow out real quick :)

      @@nidz_ I'm no expert so I wouldn't want you to follow my advices, they might not be helpful for you, I've an oily scalp with DRY STRANDS so the things that work for me other than my scalp might as well work for you :) I would suggest to look out for hair porosity videos, it was through them that I got to know why protein hair masks do not work for me and how I need to oil my hair.
      • apply a hair serum to your hair ends every night, this has saved me from split ends for real plus the tangles do not cause additional hair breakage, just two pumps of any hair serum you like. I used the one from bare anatomy (purple variant) and I'm currently using the apple and goji berry serum from Budds n Berries. I simply tie my hair, no braids or bun.. I've migraine. Telling this just to let you know I didn't do protective hairstyles but serum still saved me from split ends (I've struggled with them for years because I couldn't figure out ways to tame dry hair with oily scalp)
      • In case you use shampoos for dandruff or the ones that are meant for clarifying or the ones that claim pollution protection, do invest in a hair mask. You can use it as a conditioner in case you're short on time or as a pre shampoo mask since these shampoos dry hair ends further.
      • Get your hair trimmed if you see split ends, they're a major problem with dry hair type and no matter what we do they're irreversible.
      • If you can, include curd and banana in your diet and drink sufficient water, it truly does help
      • Lastly invest in a silk or satin pillow case to avoid further dryness, tangling and breakage.

I think this product can really help you with thickness 💜 even though it wasn't my case I still believe it can for others 😊 and if you can oil your scalp with rosemary one a week plus adding this product I really think it can make a big difference just be patience with these two because the results are real 🌷✨ hugs
