Hello everyone! Welcome to my channel. As you can see i made some cassava bread from scratch. I wanted to mention something that i forgot to mention the video. If you're planning on making cassava bread to freeze for later, when your ready to eat the bread just thaw it and heat it. If you have a leftover just sprinkle some water and wrap with paper towel before heating the bread the next day. I hope you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching.
I'm sure you can add salt, sugar and egg to get it taste alittle better I know we do cassava flour by straining grated cassava like you've showed but we pour water over the cassava while it's in the cloth to wash the starch off , squeeze fiber well and spread them onto a dryer or can dry out in the sun, after it gotten dried , pour it into a blender or pound it the dried fiber it After wards strain the dried flour and there is your flour.
Have being craving some cassava bread, but didn't know how to make any. In Sierra Leone, we eat with fried fish and gravy. So happy I found this video. Thank you.
You are welcome! Thanks for being here and thank you for watching. Matter of fact if you scroll through my channel you will find a video recipe of the fried fish with gravy and the cassave bread 🍞
this looks amazing, i have never had this before but i like cassava so i know i will love it. The process of getting the water out was truly a hard job, lol. i think i agree with using the fresh cassava and not the gari
The squeezing part is not easy but you were up to the task. The other method is very accessible. I have never had cassava flat bread. Thanks for sharing
Love the way you make it. I am from the Garifuna people from Honduras. We make Casave Bread by baking it. Our is much thinner. Thank you for showing us, as I have been wanting to make it here at home but could not remember exactly how the elders back home made it.
Well no need to add salt because of the sauce i was going to enjoy it with already have salt. If you scroll through my videos you will see another reason what i enjoyed the Cassava bread with. This looks amazing yaayi. Im so excited about learning so much from your channel. You educate step by step. Also, sharing your sweet memories in your country is always a treat.tfs until next time cheers🍻
Kassava bread is the nest gluten free bread I found. Bonus: I can make it myself. Problem: how come I am learning about Kassava only now? I use the flower but I used half of a fresh Kassava that I cooked in water. At the time, I did not know we had to squeeze the water and that I did not need to cook.
Wow! How easy!? I've always wanted to know how to make it myself. Your recipes are awesome; especially the one with the gari! I was once taught how to do the raw cassava one but it was kind of hard & tiresome on top of a dutch-oven. I like the gari coz it's handy, less work and all that. I eat my gari 'al dente', which is just as you've done it, with little water, so I know just what texture is need. I love both methods. Can't just believe the simplicity of it all! I am impressed. Great stuff. THANKS TONS!!
Hi thank you for sharing the recipe with us 👍but what do you do with water cassava ? Me i think that if i cook it with powder sugar it would have good taste and it would be caramelise color too its my opinion i will try it soon you agree with me good idea let me know bye bye 😋😋😋
Hey Dada I tried the cassava bread it came out good wasn't neat like yours I guess because of the size I grated the cassava however next time I try it I would definitely grate the cassava on the fine side. Thanks.
