+Hislamion w204 pure v8 sounds amazing. BMW turbo M3 and M4 got fake engine/exhaust note from stereo speakers, I think that's odd.

I wish Mercedes Benz would muscle up the body design if you buy an AMG version much like BMW muscles up their M lines. You can only tell the difference if you see the badge and exhaust tips. Despite that, I would still get AMG's over the BMW M lines or Audi S lines..

No dough this car is a bad ass, but you can forget trying to lease this car. I was in the market for leasing a M4, until i drove this monster in October of 2015. I asked the dealer if there was any lease specials on this car, but the dealership replied and asked me to wait begging of November until the new lease specials (residual value) came out. Beginning of November i contact the dealership and asked what was the residual value of the car, and shockingly it was %52 percent, which is garbage for this car. If people don't understand what is the residue value, its what percentage is the car worth after your lease is returned. Here is an example; if this car was worth 100,00 and the residual value was %50 percent, you would lease the 50,00 for 36 months, not counting the money factor which varies. So if you find a car with a high residual value, your monthly payments would be cheaper. The money factor is calculated by multiplying 2,400. So for you car shoppers out there, do research and pic 3 or 4 cars that you really like and see what car has the best residual value, then lease that car.
+hov73 , that is alot of math and fuzzy conclusions. $2400 multiply factor? Garbage 50% residual. So you want to lease a new color Benz until you die every 3yrs, or just 36m of your life & back to Prius ?

ok lets just put this out there. An engine that can put an S-Coupe up to around 180-200mph, into a car that weighs about half to 3/4 the weight.

any word on if they will release an AWD version of this? i thought all AMG S cars were going to be AWD ... if you live in the snow belt, you really need awd (yes, even with snow tires, if you happen to live on a side street where side street and the alley where your garage is is not plowed).

Maybe for drifting the non-S LSD slides better ? Sometimes driver aids screw with your slide. Jeremy Clarkson put M4 in steering COMFORT mode to get it to slide because other modes fight driver from going sideways. Odd that the steering mode was the issue vs traction mode, GOOD TIP FROM OLD SCHOOL TOP GEAR. I hear the new guys suck

Amazing car, but still seems like a weird concept to have crazy AMG sports on a family saloon, I would get C63 on the new Coupe, seems like a better fit.

i thought this car was a direct competitor for the ATS-V until I heard it weighed 3900 pounds. With that weight and price. I can easily look to buy a 2016 CTS-V. More power and the Interior is just as good. PLUS it sounds better for me.

That is one really nice car, but for $72,000 and more I'm sure there are better choices out there. If I was in the market for a car in that price range, I would wait for the new 4 door Alfa Romero and see what it is about.

M2 come in 4 colors. Black pleather ONLY. Perhaps DTC paddle avail. Rear seats are joke like 135i and it still has girly lines on the door lines & rear. 1M more butch IMHO, add a bunch of CF aero and M2 looks good but then you hitting way over $60k.

+Dodge Hemi (Challenger 392) Yea, my Genesis had one on it and I believe my friends BMW 135i has the silencer in the intake as well(not 100% sure). Basically zero turbo noise. Call me crazy but why would you buy a turbo charge car and not want to hear the symphony it produces you know?
Its such bullshit Mercedes charges nearly 10k more for the "S" which is basically just an ECU tune. They should have never done this for the US market.
+Panthers1521 Yeah I definitely agree! The 'S' model is only a ECU tune which is so dumb, pretty much 10k for that. The W204 C63 AMG was way better, there was the Edition 507, and the Black Series which was weight reduction, track mods and a tune that got the most outta the 6.3. And honestly idk why they changed the motor for the W205, it's a 4.0 Biturbo so it doesn't really match with the C63 name tag. The same goes for many other AMG models who have motors that don't match with the model number.
+Kevin Ng The engine was a 6.2 that was unrelated to the "63" name tag which I believe came from an even earlier engine that I don't feel like researching, otherwise what you say remains true.
+Panthers1521 dynamic engine mounts and a bunch of other stuff are standard on the S model.... you will have to pay extra to get them on the standard.
and ofcourse its a marketing scheme.... kind of like the iphone 6 with 16gb

Oh my lord. This is blasphemy. This powerplant is good and all, but compared to the 6.2 its poo-cheese in my opinion. Then they went from 'a slightly feminine looking car' to 'a young girls barbie car.' Pretty sure its a good car, but I really like last gen.

AMG is not aftermarket. It was bought by Mercedes and now makes stock "performance edition" Mercedes cars.

my c 63s better looking than this one but anyway this car is top class
$2500 Recaro to make "thighs go numb" and no cold. Does it have lumbar adj ? New Camaro don't have lumbar adj and are softy vs 1LE, they dropped those nice GM Recaro from z28 which they put on 2SS and 1LE now Recaro gone, GT350 has the nice highback suede but just that model in only sticks.
Outside M4, it hard to find nice seats and paddles together, hard to find nice coupe in manual then when you find it the auto isn't avail. Alfa only stick in USA. Wifey M4 or C63s is hard to beat, Charger 392 and HC too large and wheel is for man hands
