Loved seeing a Wharram that has clearly been loved by her owner! Getting Kiana Weltzien along on your next adventure would be a great shout.

Got a wharram 28 or some odd at the marina. It's gorgeous, see the man playing around on it. He loves his boat. Never seen it leave the slip, but I'd take it for a ride almost anyday. There is another on the hard in the yard still being built production seems to have stalled once they got the hulls together. Too bad it's a big one. In all I love the designs of wharram. Very impressed Matt gave the Polynesians their dues on this one. Btw, James wharram was the og 2 chicks one dude on a green cat sailing across the ocean 😂 pay tribute to the forefathers. Not that you need to have the wierd love triangle thing going on. Good tour Peter! Thanks!

YESSS! K.I.S.S.... KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID! I'm a Wharram fan. You could "single hand" the pahi if you had to. Maintenance is wood, glue, rope and Sharp blades. Flexing vs Rigid? Flexing any day. Boats should not be rigid on a flexible ocean. Oh and the wing sail?💕
Sadly James Wharram passed away earlier this year but his legacy will live on in his adaptation of ancient polynesian design in a modern era. The Wharram is you dude. I like the Tiki.

It's not a wing sail, it's more like a wind surfer rig.

Plucky, you're a hero, bro!! Taking us aboard that beautiful Wharram Pahi for a tour!! Wharram has a few different hull shapes out there, but the Pahi is my personal favorite. What a beauty. I knew you'd like it. They're simple, rugged, easily maintained, fast, and sea-kindly. What's not to like? The owner's solution to the lifting prop-shafts was a really interesting adaptation of the outboard pods you typically see on Wharrams. Makes sense, and definitely suits the boat.
Thanks again for taking us along on this one. Really enjoyed it.

I have already proposed a Wharram for your next boat. Much more simple to build and maintain with your skills. No more hassle with getting hardware sent across the world. Telegraph pole masts. No electrolysis. Tar anti fouling slapped on on a beach at low tide. Repairable on a tropical island. Seems the obvious boat for your type of cruising. Back to basics. Go for it. You may even start a new trend with you knac of story telling.

I saw an aluminum Wharram in La Conner, WA that looked to be about 50 to 60 ft. long. The boat had been tied up at a dock for years and years and looked like it wasn't being used. I inquired about it but couldn't find the owner to talk to him about purchasing it. One day it was gone. Never to be seen again. I've got loads of photos of it and wanted to purchase it.

You don't realize it yet but your whole being just oozes that Wharram vibe. Just keep it in the back of your mind and re-visit it occasionally. The more you think about it, the more sense it makes. I've been sailing sort of the opposite catamaran all of my life. High performance, high tech Stiletto 30s. It's about time for me to do some serious cruising. Unless you've still got that speed demon rattling around in your head, the Wharram is about the perfect warm weather cruising boat for rough-and-tumble guys like you. Give it a little time. You just might come around.

Nice boat. Great to see simple design concepts that work. How did Colin’s bulkheads adopt this concept? It was a design disaster for Lagoon. When do you start building the Mumby? I’m also looking at a Mumby to set sail in July 25! Good luck living as a lubber after so long at sea. Best wishes to you and Lisa!

This is only the second time I've commented on you channel, to to busy enjoying the content and thumbs up.
But yea bud 100% correct, S/S isn't what it used to be, you know 316 s/s should never rust, certainly not in three weeks.
You know what all you cruisers are missing?
A place of your own to pull your boat out and do work yourselves with a kitted out workshop. I'm not in in the water yet and just started out on YT. {I've been to busy 9-5} In the near future Plukky, I'd be up for chipping in for a place we can all use for ourselves while running it as a business.
    Food for thought.
    Great content bro, fair winds.

    Plukky
When I stated building my first boat I went out and bought hundreds of stainless fasteners. A couple of months later I pulled all the SS crap out and traded the remainder in on silicon bronze. Cast the chainplates and all the bits and pieces from bronze. When she launched there was absolutely zero of that SS crap on board. Forty years later none of the bronze has rusted! Silicon bronze, aluminum, or titanium, or wood, or stay home and take up farming.
I've always thought of Wharrams as hippy boats. I think my eyes have been wide shut.
