Yesterday I spent a couple hours walking up a local creek, and I found enough agate and chalcedony to fill up a dinner plate. A lot of them have quartz crystal centers. Some have a light pink or purple tint, and some are blue. If you visit the PNW again I have some awesome spots I could show you in Skamania County WA. ☺️

That's awesome and very generous of you. Yes, WA is absolutely on my list of places to return to. The blue and pink chalcedony is pretty sought after if I remember right from my time there!

@@ThirdPlanetRocks I grew up and still live in the middle of the Columbia River Gorge, and I love showing people around my basalt homeland 😄 I found agates in driveways and by the road at the fairgrounds in the middle of town

Some beautiful finds! Man the flies and mosquitoes are nuts up there!

Thanks Dustin, and yeah… they’re a force up here. Bug spray is completely useless on the flies

Is it or isn’t it? Some people call those “magates”….. maybe agates.

They are certainly magates. The final area in particular produced a whole bunch of them that were like that
