In 1995, WCW launched their succesful Monday Nitro television show, a wrestling broadcast that was created to take on the WWF and their Monday Night Raw presentations. With WCW Nitro having the financial backing of Ted Turner and TBS, Vince McMahon would soon realise that he now had real competition in the world of wrestling. This time period is known as the "Monday Night Wars", a legitimate boom period in wrestling that brought in new fans as wrestling became insanely popular thanks to WCW Nitro and WWF Raw.
This time we will look at the 13.11.95 editions of WWF Monday Night Raw and WCW Nitro. As the WWF gets ready for the 1995 Survivor Series and the Bret Hart vs Diesel WWF championship match, WCW are still going along with the "darkside" Hulk Hogan storyline. This week, Hogan completely loses the plot while Sting wrestles Dean Malenko in the main event. WWF Raw presents an excellent interview with Bret Hart and Diesel along with a Razor Ramon main event.
Matches and segments covered include:
00:00 - Evil Hulk Hogan's sword
03:55 - Hunter Hearst Helmsley's slip up
05:04 - Ahmed Johnson's WWF Raw debut
09:41 - Bret Hart and Diesel prepare for Survivor Series 1995
12:42 - Johnny B. Badd defends the WCW TV Title
16:11 - Sting main events WCW Nitro
21:30 - Final Scores - Спорт
"Hulk, we need you to drop a match to an upcoming star who has more than earned his place in the title picture." "THAT DOESNT WORK FOR ME, BROTHER." "Okay, how about you wear an executioner mask after we shave your mustache and hang out in a fake tomb and play with a sword?" "NOW WE'RE TALKIN', BROTHER."
😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
The way the title was dropped after Halloween Havoc 1995 I just knew it was Hogan refusing to put The Giant over.
If Hogan hadn't have joined the NWO and continued the Hulkamania gimmick, his career would have been dead by 1998. He's already getting boo'd in 95 at certain venues.
Requiem Games Actually Hulks politics was so good...he was paid xx a year to do xx appearances..He would then hit that number early then let WCW pay him loads to reappear.
@@andrewallan5442 was so good?.........?
LMAO YES!! 😂😂😭😭
'Hulk Hogan's Skyrim Cosplay' is actually the name of my new band
Freaking sweet!
OK
Fingers crossed you play “real American” 🤞
@@JokerThaToker also Ragnar the Red
Uh already taken brother. Sorry dude.
I saw the thumbnail and said, "Oh no! They have to compete with Hogan Cosplaying!"
The most underrated wrestlin channel.
I agree
Facts 💯
Underrated by whom? It has 133k subscribers.
Sabu8000 if you think about it he puts so much hard work into his videos, yet only has 133k like that’s a lot but he deserves a lot more
i feel like Bret Hart doesn’t get enough credit for paving the way and foundation (no pun intended) for the Attitude Era.
Absolutely! Post Rumble - Pre Mania 13! That stuff was gold!
Heenan Harley you’re wrong and i didn’t mention non fans at all. most videos or articles i’ve seen about the attitude era first off always say that the attitude era started in 98 long after bret left wwf. imo i believe the attitude era started much sooner than 98, around 1996 was when I felt like the company started shifting to a change in their storyline and wrestler personas. Even Goldust deserves much more credit also for paving the way for the AE but him and bret hart are rarely mentioned usually it’s Austin , DX, mankind and Vince that get most of the credit for the AE. i was a pre teen during this time and the austin bret hart shawn michaels storylines around 96 felt very real , anyone watching back then i’m sure knows what i’m talking about.
Lol him quiting made wwf more famous! Wcw brett heart was a joke
@@regularstan6212 no one is saying Bret was more famous in WCW lol
Hogan was channeling his inner Ultimate Warrior for that promo.
I came to make this same comment
Cocaine was definitely involved
How high on drugs do you guys think hogan how to be think that people will also hogan segment should get more points because is way more memorable than anything on both so
A S b
N
The Hogan promo was actually his audition tape for Star Wars, he didn’t quite “get it”
lol imagine him being the Emperor
I am your father brother!
.... wait are you my brother, or my father?
Your Father Brother!
...... yeah still confused.
And Leia is your sister brother!
Oh boy, here we go again.
"I am your fathers, brothers, uncles, nephews, best friends, former roommate"!
"So what does that make us"?
"ABSOLUTELY NOTHING"! "Which is what YOU are about to become brother"!
Jennifer Pyrce 🤣 Spaceballs is an awesome movie ❤️
dxrebel DO IT.... Brother!
Wednesday to me are about New Comic Books, AEW vs NXT and Wrestling Bios Reliving the War
It's actually better than watching them..
This recap show is awesome.
w s today is Wednesday in the states, where are you located?
@@Thor-Orion my guess is Australia
Well if Randy Savage is supposed to bring Meng's head back on a silver platter, why does Hogan have the sword?
In reality...would you trust Randy with a sword? 😂
Yeah realistically I would love see Randy try to cut Meng Head and put it on a silver platter, good luck with that...
@@kinglucha3640 🤣🤣🤣🤣
That interview has to be at Bret's house as he has a framed portrait of The Hitman in the background.
Just like Scott Hall said before, his house was a shrine to the Hitman.
@@10YRWWEPPV I know, I love Bret but this is too surreal, lol
No wonder Sting is seen in such a positive light, he just doesn't seem to be selfish, especially compared to some other main eventers in the company.
He’s always been this way, and it really makes the contrast between guys like him and Randy with Hulk Hogan that much more stark. These guys know that other wrestlers putting them over made them who they are and it’s better for business overall if they do the same for others, Hulk is all about Hulk and seems to forget that others putting him over is what made him what he was.
@@Thor-Orion Good on him.
Ok that hogan promo had me dying and Triple H slipping over the slop was funny as well. What the hell was in that slop
I don’t know, but it was certainly slippery slop.

This series of the Monday Night Wars keeps getting better each week. Cannot wait to see the rise of 1996
Can't wait 4 the birth of the Attitude era until the end
I love that there's already in-jokes in these like the RE4 merchent, I love OSW for all their in-jokes so I hope there'll be more over time
it really is great!
Honestly, I love this series!
I was born after the Monday Night Wars and I find reviews of older wrestling shows interesting.
You missed the golden age. You should check out the vids of these old matches and shows. I'd say late 80's to late 90's was some of the best wrestling and storylines ever done.
I just found this series, and I gotta say, you're absolutely killing it! The concept is brilliant, and I've been vicariously reliving my childhood. I could legit watch every one of these through March 26, 2001. And while I don't expect you to go on for that long, just know that your effort is greatly appreciated. Keep up the fantastic work!
he been goin on for long
The lack of time for Sting and Malenko is due to that interview segment immediately prior which want necessary at all.
Should have allotted that time to the main event.
Our CHILDHOOD is re-living these EPIC WARS!!! Thanks Wrestling Bios!💯👌🏿😎
Each Episode in this Series is like a Bonus Birthday Present! I can't ever click on them fast enough!
Thank you sir. Look forward to every Wednesday!!!
The BEST part about that Hulk Hogan promo was that Hogan had full creative control over everything he did, which means that this promo worked for him, brother.
This episode got me in trouble with my fiancé. Woke her up cuz I was crying laughing. 😂 Thanks for the nostalgia 👍
That HHH slip/bump on the outside popped me hard! He threw everything into it haha!!
Ahmed Johnson was underrated.
Resident Evil 4 merchant.... LOL.
I cant wait till 97
2:29: my jaw drops. never seen this before. i'm sure the wrestling gods would want humanity to forget D and D Hogan... as well as Katey Vic
This is easily the best show on UA-cam. Pure awesomeness.
Randy Savage versus anybody is better then watching Ahmed Johnson
This is something I always love anticipating! It's like waiting for Raw on Mondays!
I was working out at the house when the Hogan promo came on and had to stop because I was laughing so hard. Absolutely horrible haha
4:36 Hunter slipping and falling had me rolling laughing the way he fell lol 😂😂😂😂😂
This is my second time watching through RtW. All the other wrestling UA-camrs must be jealous you came up with this idea, and not them.
trips could actually perform comedic segment quite well.
remember when slaughter force him and micheals to a match... it was hilarious.
This was honestly the funniest breakdown yet...
Awesome!!!!! It's the best feeling ever when I see them new videos uploaded from you man
One of my two wensday rituals, reliving the war, and AEW Dynamite.
'Fuckin' right brother this sword will elevate this segment!'
I literally sprayed tea all over my monitor. Thanks.
Edit: I went back and watched this on the network... there's an animatronic rat behind Hulk the whole time, wiggling its head like a worm. And you thought it couldn't get any funnier.
Hell yes these reliving the war segments are amazing. I genuinely cannot wait till the outsiders make their appearance in the series
I'm loving this series. Mostly cause I was in 4th grade around the time you're currently covering and I never thought I'd be witness not only clips but good commentary about this lost period of my childhood. These were good times. I remember actually being scared for Hogan and taking endlessly with a buddy of mine on the playground about the Dungeon of Doom and whether Hogan will survive etc. I bet I found the cringy Hogan segment with the sword in this episode so cool.
I remember this episode of raw like yesterday, especially the main event
Cool
Yeah, I remember it too.
When you said “F*cking POGS” I lost it, I laughed so hard. 9:30. I want to clip it as a sound board for my call of duty streams 😂😂
Next week's episode took place on my 14th birthday, November 20th 1995. I won't spoil it, but it was a Raw at the time I would never forget
An chance we can get a link to the intro audio clip in full? That song is a banger \m/ surprised you covered the invasion before the "end of the war" lol (I'm waiting till then to watch it) Lovely video as always bruh
\m/ '_\\
He actually edits it himself, it’s a custom remix and he does a great job with it, but look up Across the Nation by Union Underground here on youtube and click on the one with the big Raw logo, it is the uncensored version with the best audio quality.
I absolutely love this series!!! Please don't stop until the end!!!!
This series is hilarious better late than never finding it! Some good memories too - Great stuff
I look forward to these so much. Thanks again
Just love the series so far, finally got back to watch it again. Can't wait for future episodes.
watching as soon as the notification popped! love these episodes keep it up mate!
Surprised Hogan didnt show up in Xena or Hercules as that character lol
Love this series and honestly the remix intro is the best intro I've ever heard! Keep them coming!
Thanks man for doing this series I'm really enjoying this since I wouldn't watch wwe back then because of my loyalty to WCW but now I get to see what I missed on wwf raw is war
Really appreciate these vids. It’s must watch tv/UA-cam for me
You rock, Wrestling Bios!! Thank you!
Just discovered this series, and I'm loving it
Best thing on UA-cam. Thank you for making these videos
That is a cool sword that Hogan holds.
I am so disappointed in Macho Man, for not bringing the head of Meng on a silver platter for Hulk Hogan.
I wish you would do more than one of these a week lol I need more of these in my life in quarantine please.
I really like his upload schedule, one of these and a bio or two is perfect, it spaces out this great series and gives us more great specific content about individuals or storylines that deserve a spotlight. Still waiting on Vampiro!
The content master returns for my fix!!!!
Love this series as I tell you every week.
Thanks for bringing back the Nitro score board music near the end. Keep up the excellent work!
You should do a show reviewing merchandise from pro wrestling in the 90s. Hilarious.
Man, this is so much fun. Keep up the great work!
This series is a big part of my awesome Wednesday night of pro wrestling :D
This is a great series... I'd long since given up watching wrestling by this time so it's cool to see what came after I stopped watching around March 1992 .... keep them coming
Ahmed was a beast before he got hurt in 1996. He was never quite the same after that.
The 123 Kid taking the money out of Hall's mouth and putting them in his pocket gave me a chuckle.
Thanks for making all the good Videos. I loved every Video I watched so far, but I've not finished watching all your videos. I feel like living my childhood again, when I saw your videos. Greetings from Germany.
Hulk Hogan's promo at the beginning sounds like he's trying to invoke his inner warrior! 😂
Another great video I look forward to watching your video all week bro
Thanks for sharing. Love the show
I look forward to these videos each week. Keep it up!
Always makes my day ! Thank you
man i freakin love all the content you are pumping out... keep it up, its amazing!
Maan i would love to see eddie vs marc in a 20min classic
This is an awesome series u got going!
Man that intro remix is electric! Great job all round on these episode, consider me hooked in!
Ok, that promo was something else lol
Wcw and their T.V time limits; I remeber always hearing and seeing their matches run out of time!
Love these segments!!!!
This theme is my favorite Wrestling Bios song for sure. Always put in my second earbud while it's on
"Fuckin right brother" damn near killed me
just found your channel and i love the content. you’ve gained a sub, keep up the good work
Just a suggestion but why don't you give the points for each segment at the end as people already know who's won before the sum up apart from that great series of vids keep up the great work.
Youre a Legend for doing this is such detail 👏... Brings back so much nostalgia... Admittedly I didnt start watching WCW till' late 1996 and always found WWF too cartoony in comparison but what a time for Wrestling! Stopped watching around 2002. Shame how far its fell from grace since then
What’s a real shame is there are still great performers in wwe that aren’t being given a damn thing to work with by the writers. There are still some good matches, and AJ Styles will always be amazing. He seems to be the best there is right now at elevating garbage into something solid or even great occasionally. Really a testament to his greatness.
Ahmed would have been better off with a Goldberg/Lesnar type persona, where he DOESN'T speak and just beat people.
i love this! keep the good work
Bro this happened on my birthday(not birth date) that year. I got into wrestling within the next year or 2. This is the best late gift ever
Just want to say theses episodes are making me want to buy WWE network so I can watch along. Keep it up.
That hulk promo is freaking awesome 😎😎😎!!!
Still doing an awesome job!! Keep it up!!
Man I love that intro...
Bloody awesome
Love these comparison Vids...wish we could have 2 per week though
Love watching these!
Nothing like hitting the thumbs up and watching it hit 1k! Keep it going! definitely need more of em!
I'd totally forgotten about that opening raw theme, great song!
I'm enjoying how much you're getting Barry Didinsky with him being the RE4 merchant.
"Henry Godwinn is playing chess." Such a great segment, and such a perfect quote!
...Maybe if my dad had thought to cover himself with slop, things would've gone a lot better with all those wildebeests.
20:43 Thanks for the freeze frame lol
It’s that time let me roll one up
