Awesome, this channel will always be super important to me as I started bingeing it as my son was born and would stay up watching Reliving the War. Eventually caught up around episode 94 and don’t miss I upload now. Thanks WrestlingBios you’re a real Jam Up guy
This is the one and only Wrestlemania I attended so it will always hold a spot in my heart. Watch Shawn zipline into the ring as a kid was totally hype even though sitting through an hour long match was tough.
I went to WM 18 only time myself. Arguably the greatest match ever. Rock VS Hogan. WM12 Bret VS HBK is IMO the greatest match ever. I'm jelly that HBK entrance was ICONIC.
6:40 I think our friendly UK-based reviewer forgot that here in the United States, the steering wheel is on the left of the car. :-) That was the driver's side window that Piper smashed.
My favourite match. The Hitman will always be no.1 but at this time it was awesome to see two legends trying to one up each other in their prime. Glad they managed to squash their beef.
I thought this was a random pick, but what you said at the beginning makes sense. You're such a workhouse. Can't thank you enough for all of these awesome videos!
I’m here for restholds at Restholdsmania!! This was my first Mania I watched live on PPV so def a special place in my heart for this one as a kid. Loved it all!
After all this time watching Reliving the War when it launchs I have a strange nostalgic feeling watching this special episode with Yokozuna, Bret Hart, Diesel and the others still in WWF xD
13:13 I distinctly remember Todd calling him The Wildman Mark "Marow" instead of Mero here. Just something that always stuck with me on this PPV for some reason.
Without question this is the best channel for sure the way all your videos are set up is just magic brings back so many memories keep up the fantastic work
Couple of interesting facts about the brawl. Piper got to keep the Bronco and it was almost very expensive as a dumpster was sent careening towards a parked sports car and was only stopped by an alert crew member, hope he got a bonus!
Your content is so incredibly superior to other wrestling focused channels. Your dedication is amazing! Thank you, kind sir, for intelligent and humorous analysis of such nostalgic memories!
This is the first WWF PPV I watched live in the UK at 1am. I was 13 and had school the next day, I was a huge Bret fan and gutted he lost (I didn't know any better back then) Fantastic channel and I love your uploads. Keep up the amazing work
I always enjoy your reviews you don't just talk about who won and who lost you talk about the matches as a whole the backstory and the aftermath of those matches which only a few reviewers I know do that's why you are one of the best wrestling UA-camrs on UA-cam
Im so glad your going back. I've been watching your channel for a long time, since the beginning and wished before that you covered ppvs back then and now it's here. Your awesome!!
One of my favorite channels on UA-cam! You work so hard pumping these out for everyone to love and enjoy and I can speak for everyone who enjoys them with me too...thank you good sir! You are a Jam up guy!!
It's funny watching these videos, and older stuff on the network and seeing just how much the rings have changed in WWE, the stiffness of the mat, the elasticity of the ropes, even the size of the ring.
Don’t sweat it. I’m a mark for the Hitman and 90s HBK as well. I never watched this show cover to cover but I was collecting WWE DVD box sets for a while. History of the WWE Title had the full Iron Man match and Taker’s set from 2004 had the Diesel match. Love both of them. Keep being the jam up guy we all love.
Please cover Bash at the Beach 1996 next. If you're covering the Federation's most important PPV in 96, then it seems fair you do the same for WCW. I'm aware that Starrcade is on par with WrestleMania, but you can't deny that Hogan being the third man and forming the nWo was more important than Hogan vs Piper in a non-title match.
I was so confused at the title. Thought I missed something or maybe I'm losing it... then I realize I'm just being blessed with EXTRAS. You're the man.
My favourite PPV growing up as a kid, must of watched it so many times, think I still even have the VHS in the loft! Looking forward to hearing your take on it, perfect Tuesday night viewing to settle down to
I remember watching this as a kid , I remember everything down to the snacks we had while watching in my friends basement, for free on the black cable box
Omg I legit forgot about those black boxes! I always tried to get my dad to get one but he never would. Lol I literally never got to see a PPV as a kid. I would always be so excited to watch Raw/Nitro the next night to find out who won... Those were the days.
Roddy definitely smashed the drivers side window hahahahaha. Im gonna go out on a limb and say our Wrestling Bios favorite is from across the pond. Keep up the great work brother
Me too. Shawn's summer of 96 run was the last time I've ever cheered for a babyface. nWo and DX came around and I've been a heel my whole life since. Of course I did have to cheer for Shawn from 2002-2010 though.
Regarding the Backlot* Brawl: Golddust requested, and Piper was all too ready to oblige, of being opened up the "hard way". But the first didn't do the job, nor so much the second, but both were full shoot! Always loved how the man himself, Dustin here, always kept his own personal kayfabe and blurred so many lines between scripts and chaos.
Dustin said in a shoot interview about the Backlot Brawl that since he was going to get his ass kicked from pillar to post, he "needed to get some color". Piper busted him open, AND broke his own hand with those punches.
Thanks for your great work. I have been a wrestling fan since 1991 and your videos make me relive everything. Please keep up the good work! Best regards
Absolutely loved this ppv qs a youngster!! I was kind hoping as you were explaining the differenx in Ahmed Johnson from the start of his wwf career to the later part of his time there, that you would say "you can clearly see a difference in Ahmed during his pre Michael Biker Liker work" but that's okay lol. I'm still a jam up guy bro! Also, I couldn't help but notice you said Piper smashed the passenger side window of Goldust's car... shout out with some UK love, lol overe here in North America we drive on the wrong side. We say that doesn't work for us brother 😀
I was there live! After all these years I just saw a camera shot of me n my buddy during Ultimate Warrior match right before his finisher... I was lefting my arms giving the Warrior sign for finisher center of the screen
Yeah. Bro I agree. This is a really good channel. I appreciate you very much for it. I grew up watching wrestling with my dad and brothers, however there is a lot I never seen and have only heard of, so it's nice not only to watch and reminisce, but to discover more. So thank you so much. Good job. Keep up the good work
Those two stiff shots by Piper was because Goldust felt he needed color and Vince said no because since it was taped in advance it would be hard to recreate it for the live part. He insisted that it needed so Piper agreed to do it the hard way. First time didn’t do it so he had to do it again.
If you're going to cover more PPV's that you missed, I would recommend In Your House: Good Friends, Better Enemies. It would allow you to follow the story of HBK's championship run and it's Diesel's last PPV match in the WWF.
Another awesome upload from the wrestling channel with the most jam on the planet! Such a great idea to go back over the reliving the war PPVs and give them their own video. You said Bret, Shawn and The Undertaker gave Diesel his best matches? What about the 5 star stellar classic he had against The British Bulldog at In Your House 4 or the classics he had against Sid at In Your House 1 and 2, both up there with Ricky The Dragon VS Macho Man at WM3 if you ask me
As someone who can barely sit through a 2 hour movie (most could be cut down to 80-90 minutes if we cut out the chaff), even considering watching a 60-minute match exhausts me. And spending a quarter of that time in rest holds? If 1/4 of your match needs to be spent resting; that’s a clear sign that the match is too long. Though I will give them kudos for being able to exert themselves like that for 45 minutes. And one thing I noticed here, that I don’t think was highlighted during the “War” recaps, was how masterfully Cornette’s team was put together. You had Vader as the tank, Hart as the high-flyer, like everyone had a distinct role. Good stuff. And a big shout-out to the channel, as this review was also masterfully constructed. @@kidz4p509 yeah, I wondered how were they able to pull it off this stunt. They really never explained it, lol. One more reason why this PPV needs to be covered, Wrestling Bios!
an excellent surprise this video is! Your cross the pond shows in this one.. during the goldust/piper match you called the driver's window the passenger.
Warrior smashing Helmsley was great at the time. Triple H was a mid-carder and no one cared about him. This was long before he married Stephanie and sent his career to the moon. The internet smark fan born in 1995 wasn't yet around to tell us all about the booking and how the Warrior was the male version of Sable and Triple H the king of kings who was a good worker.
This was from my freshman year in high school. I just started my first job and used some of that money to order this PPV. My first of many. Good memories!
6:35 hey mate 👋, on this side of “The Pond” that side is actually the DRIVER’S side. The steering wheel is a good sign of that…. Oh unless it’s one of them drivers ed. cars with the brake and wheel on both sides although I’ve only actually SEEN one of them with the extra peddle only not the wheel also but I seen it in the movies I’m sure it’s real….. um but yeah man I seriously love this chan man u are talented fosho part of what makes your videos so great is your narration and smart ass comments love ya man thanks for the hard work!
Definitely a favourite WM for me as well. Michaels was/is my all time favourite wrestler and this “crowning” was huge for his fans. Not to take away from The Hitman cause he’s in my top 5 for all time. It was good to see WWF putting the strap on other talent that could work a quality match vs the 3 move juiced up specials
I’m bias af too 😂 so of course I loved the Ironman match, Actually the first WrestleMania I ever watched when I was a kid I remember never seeing much wrestling and I was in BlockBuster Video with my parents and they told me to pick something and I just randomly selected this pay per view and I’ve been a huge fan ever since ❤❤ thanks again wrestlingbios 🎉
To me, The Warriors comeback was awesome. Triple h wouldn't even be considered something to talk about till almost 3 years later when he was the leader of dx feuding with rock.
Wow ! Im glad you broke down the ironman match like that . I always liked and defended the match . I thought they worked the rest holds nicely . i dug the flow of the match myself
