This might become the most historic off season in Tech football history. Such a unique moment that they are taking advantage of because they are organized and in unison. Nice to see Tech excel.
I am happy Morton and appreciate his toughness; however, Hammond may be good enough to take advantage of the situation. Talk to me about EDGE rushers portal, that is a glaring hole on our team for 2 seasons now.
Everyone's a fan, and we have to make the most of every season, and portal season is one of them...X is alive with Tech Fans enjoying this one. Guns Up 👆 Wreck Em!
Maybe there was something to the questions about how "healthy" he was earlier in the year. Joey should be willing to play the best "healthy" player whether an upper or lower classman. Guns Up!!
I'm excited about Hammond, but I feel for Morton. I guess my only concern is the off-season. I was looking forward to a healthy qb competition. Now, with Morton being out, I hope people don't say neither of them, Hammond or Morton, earned the spot if they become QB1.
Lubbock needs a kid that we can depend on. Been way too long since we had a consistent, dependable Quarterback. Only thing I’ll give Behren is he wants to be a Red Raider and trust me that goes a long way for me but damn this is a huge bowl game for us. We have to win. Just like we had to Win against TCU
Does Tech really need a slot receiver? I don't know, it seems like it's time for someone like Valsin to show what he has. I would think he could step into that role. And Morton just isn't very good is he, only the 10th-leading passer in the country, averaging more yards per game than Dillon Gabriel, Carson Beck, Kurtis Rourke, Cade Klubnik and Quinn Ewers, among others. And that's with a 1,500 yard rusher and an OL that just isn't all that wonderful in pass pro.
@@RedRaider2020 The same defenses that the other QBs in the conference faced. Yes, he can be a bit of a scatter gun at times for sure. Do the QBRs take into consideration how many passes were made under duress? With a defender hanging off him or in his face or while running for his life. Staying with that, how many passes were thrown into the seats just to get rid of it? Or how many passes were dropped? Morton wasn't the reason why games were lost.
Do we want will Hammond to look like a freshman and make lots of mistakes and lose so we don’t have a miserable offseason of fans clamoring for one guy over the other?
Will Hammond gonna go off I promise you that
Can't wait to see it #GunsUp
I believe in will Hammond I have faith in our future QB the future looks bright
Cowan and Level, love you both. Love my school. Y'all are an anchor for me as I work and live in far away places. Raider! Power!
Thank you brother, glad to hear it. We appreciate you watching! #GunsUp

Willl Hutto Hammond!!!
Morton is the man when he is healthy. GUNS UP!

Behren Morton is a warrior a RRFL ❤👆
Told ya so, haha. I hope the healing goes well for Morton and Hammond is too much for Arky to handle.
I guess Morten wasn’t a 100% after all
Eakin moves to the y, we bring in a slot for the H. Leftwich runs a lot more 10 personnel. That's a decent setup for a receiving corps.
Level rarely gets smug unless it's rightfully earned and deserved... Always a great sign.
Level, I don’t know why but Ollie Gordon came to my mind when you were talking about team culture. 🤷🏻♂️

Wondering if the timing of this surgery is to have him ready to throw in the spring
Unfortunately shoulder surgery doesn’t help decision making and reading defenses. Hammond is going to shine in the bowl game and start in 2025.
Nope.
Morton got this offense to the top 20 in the nation.
Brooks did. Without Brooks Morton wouldve been exposed.
@@MasterChief806 50% passing - 50% running
Tech needs to get Udoh from army as RB
Typical Red Raiders in the comments, the best player is always the back up QB. I for one hope Morton comes back and proves all his haters wrong.
Behren Morton is a warrior a RRFL ❤👆 I think he would be a great coach in the near future
This portal crap is so exhausting. It really takes away from the fan experience.
Basketball seems even worse. It's basically a new team every year except for 2 or 3 players.
Go after QB John Mateer 6'1 220 Washington State
Man no kidding. If they caught & landed him that would be near the first time a Red Raider has this year. Thanks for watching! #GunsUp
Good job Chris -

Hollow stats for Morton against bad Ds. 72nd QBR in the nation. Not good.

We already have that. Mortons time is over
I agree with so much of what you guys said about Morton, but…the problem is that he’s just not a very good player.
That's a joke right?
