Brennan Thompson wanting more NIL money to stay is ridiculous. He was either trying to take advantage of OU being in a bad spot, or he's delusional and thinks of himself as a 5'8" Megatron - either way is dumb as hell so he can hit the bricks. I'm done with all these fools.
There has to be rules put in place for those who did NOT produce….some kind of an index where 100% of the money is paid for 100% availability…….if not, you need to pay back (better, receive some portion up front then it’s “earned”) the money. Anderson had a great year of paid recovery (at OU cost) + NIL and did NOTHING for the team….this has to be managed with real expectations, an index, that is managed the same way at every school.
Whomever the QB will be for OU this next season they are going to have to have a gool OL to protect them. Jackson Arnold and Michael Hawkins didn't have a chance this year. I think Dillion Gabriel is very smart and knew OU's OL was going to suck. Even DG would have struggled if he had stayed at OU. Coach B needs to step it up. No excuse for the sorry transfer portal picks he made last year.
It wasn't very god 5he year before either when Gabriel was here. He just made great decisions with he ball. We had one good NFL caliber lineman when Gabriel was here.
You still beat Bama and had a chance in almost every game without your starting 5 receivers if not for turnovers. Find a quarterback that doesn't loose you the game and you'll be fine. The OLine will be light years better next year and receivers can be found
I agree. IF the Oline improves some, and we get a QB that can move the ball AND make the right decision to throw it away or run for a few yards when necessary. Even taking a sacknis much better than a fumble or Int. A smart QB like Gabriel or Baker was, would be ideal. Seems like Mateer would be the best fit, but he may not want to come here. I was r3ally hoping to see Zurbrugg next year, but he got out of 5own too. Playing QB at OU is a pretty good gig, so I think there will be some savvy QB out there that is eyeballing this situation.
I do think alot of players across the country are taking a gamble that they will come up short on. A few will get a better deal but most will get the same deal or a worse deal.
I never understood why OU’s WR strategy was “short and fast?” When you look around the league, the teams that win are tall, quick and ball-dogs…….let’s get some dogs!
Oregon hasn’t faced a team yet outside of big 10 and the only team they played physical was Ohio State. I’m curious to see how they match up against top SEC team
Every guy that we have lost is just a guy none of them are difference makers hell none of them really even played yall need to relax lmao these guys didn’t even play and yall think the program is in trouble
Not worried at all about who is in the portal or will be getting in the portal. Especially since they are all on offense pretty much. A historical disaster at OU on offense. The more that go in, the better.
There was a reason he left Texas what did anybody expect? He wasn't even on the rotation in Austin. He's got track speed but other than that he's a mediocre route runner.
OU is going to have to do a lot better in the transfer portal than they did last year. Hope Arbuckle is not only a really good OC but also really good at spotting and acquiring the talent needed to get this offense cooking.
Sad state of affairs in this portal. It’s a feeding frenzy right now and kids are getting sucked into this vortex. It is surprising to me to see certain players go, like Nic Anderson, who I really like but he is always injure. His brother was too when he was at OU. There has to be some genetics at play there. The reality is that the guys leaving contributed to a 6-6 season. I hope Brent has a decent plan in place and the talking heads say he does. So I’m gonna keep the faith.
The term that was used was cleaned out when some of the projections had three or four of these guys with the draftable grade why wouldn’t you want to do everything in your power to keep them? Evaluation versus recruiting versus development versus injuries !!! Kearny, Calderon Raggins you would not expect them to be difference makers, but after a full year, you would expect them to contribute!!! Is it time to take into account a valuation on Coach Jones? He is a man of great integrity, and they say he creates a culture and has great relationships, but does that translate to the field or people just drinking the Kool-Aid or a old school reference shucking and jiving !!! At this point nothing should be left to chance and remember New portable receivers are coming to a different state, different town, different student body, and as far as football goes, they may have to learn different fundamentals and techniques, and of course different schemes in a completely new offense!!!
I think you can blame the agent/whoever is doing negotiations for him. Plus, there's rumors that he quit on his team. We are currently feeling as if some may have chosen to not return to play during the season when we absolutely needed them.
Click is a good word but cohesive is another 😊 how are you going to get a new qb to mesh with all the new receivers 😢 probably won't be a pretty site 🤔

The ones that have shown flashes, can't stay healthy. All of the big time programs are upgrading at the position, and no one has had a worse season at the position than us. WHY stay with what we have? It didn't work out this year and there's no room for error next year. BT likely left on his own, seeing that he will be pushed down the depth chart again after we bring in the new talent. We have 2 upper classmen alpha dogs with Gibson & Burks to lead the room. Look at Oregons receivers, small and fast. So, does not always apply but having a QB that can get them the ball is crucial.
Oregon hasn’t faced a team yet outside of big 10 and the only team they played physical was Ohio State. I’m curious to see how they match up against top SEC team
With SEC in press man almost every down you gotta get fast and physical WRs to win in that league.
Let's get a new coach first!!!
I am a Longhorn, but I think Jay Smith is stellar. Sorry he is a Sooner. Hook'em!
cleaning house!!!!!
We need instant production and I feel not having a QB with experience locked down.

That’s definitely not necessary. Having a few actual starting receivers, a competent o-line, and an experienced QB will go a long way lol.
Is that a bad thing ?
Maybe a couple OL and Robinson and Barnes at RB but yes the offense I'd going to look completely different next year

They have to get to 105 players some has to go an they will replace them soon but all teams must get to 105 players
Need offensive linemen
the entire receiver corp needed to be purged, I liked Jackson, but hes not a fit at OU. He was Libby and Littrells pick. We need a reset on offense.
Kobie will be ready and so will Kip, i m hoping maybe Jaren can move into the Cheetah Role with Dolby
When will it come together for PJ?
not concerned about at all about players its OU they gonna come. why is JJF still there? hes not needed for a bowl game.
So OU is letting all their WRs walk on purpose...without even having replacements yet?? Makes sense.
Yes they will fill them easily with Emmet Jones’s players. Big WRs that can handle jam. OU couldn’t get out of the press man.
