I hear you. BUT there are a ton of talented players who aren’t from blue blood programs. Take a guy like this year’s Heisman candidate QB Cam Ward. He started his illustrious career at Incarnate Word University under then Head coach Eric Morris and QB coach Mack Leftwich. Remember the great Dwayne Slay? He played at a junior college in California before coming to Tech. NFL Hall of Fame lineman Larry Allen played at Sonoma State. Or Hall of Fame DE DeMarcus Ware who played Troy State. This list could go on and on. I’m not opposed to SEC or Big 10 players coming here but who would you rather have - a two time first team All Conference player from a FCS school with NFL draft grades or a disgruntled backup 5 star head case from a blue blood program who hasn’t improved since his junior year in HS?
The pressure will be on Joey and this staff bc everyone (Tech fans and some media) will be expect Tech to be playing for the Conference Championship next season. I know I will, and will be looking at a 10 or 11 win season. There should be zero excuses entering this next season...just hope QB health remains.
Level keeps saying they want to get longer, bigger, and faster. If the guys that are here don’t fit that, shouldn’t some of that fall to Blanchard and his evals. These are almost all guys this staff brought in here. Fixing their own mistakes, or what?
@@LockedOnTexasTech Fair. Just not everyone is on socials reading all the tea leaves/rumors. Being able to look these guys up on lists would help. Wouldn’t consider talks as predictions or anything like that. Just information.
I hear you. I've learned with Level that when he says a name it's for a reason. Otherwise I think some secrecy is often involved because of competition for all these players' services & how public discussion could impact that

We still need answers for Joey’s “mood x 7 x 9 and x 10”. Why haven’t those players that silently committed been announced? Strategic as to not scare other transfers away?
