Carth in KotOR 2

- First, you'll see a holo recording on the Harbinger in which the Admiral is asking that the Exile be brought to Telos for questioning.
Next, as you leave Citadel Station for the surface of Telos, Carth and Grenn will chat about your disappearance.
Then, Mical informs Carth that he's met the male Exile as you enter Koonda after leaving the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine.
Next, is Carth's holo recording hidden inside of T3. He expresses his love and concern for Revan, and his premonition that she will leave him soon.
Next, the Admiral rushes to the defense of Citadel Station in the wake of the Ravager's (and Darth Nihilus's) arrival.
After defeating Darth Nihilus, as the Exile leaves the Ravager, Grenn will approach and say that Carth requests to meet with the Exile to ask about Revan.
All you need to have Carth show up in K2 is to tell Atton that Revan was Light-sided when you meet him on Peragus. Those of us that played K1 remember that it doesn't turn out so well for Carth if Revan was dark-sided :(. Unless you don't mind mods ;), in which case, try this: • KotOR: Alternate make ...
STAR WARS Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords belongs to Obsidian Entertainment and LucasArts.

"Here's hoping Carth will be in K3!"
Man this must've been a dissapointment
Oğuzhan Uncu They're fucking morons because they thought a third game wouldve come out by now? A Kotor 3 is in the talks right now I'm not expecting it but you never know but anyways you're a jack off.
There will never be a KOTOR 3 with BioWare Austin still developing content for SWTOR, and KOTOR will never be canon. If it is, it will be a hollow shell of the real thing and they'll butcher it like they did with Korriban and Malachor on Clone Wars and Rebels. BioWare's new game is not Star Wars related at all, it's a brand new IP.
Malcolm Reynolds Yep. When Yoda referred to Korriban as 'Moriband' I lost it.
Ben Nears Agreed-total fucking bullshit.
@@sjsjjf8feirbfjtjfjifofofof417 Technically it was Lucas that wanted to call Korriban Moriband. Sorry but that is the truth. It was the final request he had when he sold the franchise out to Disney. And that's the truth.
Carth's two messy strands of hair have better physics than the entirety of Skyrim
Truly, this a dark age for video games.
@@Firguy_the_Foot_Fetishist it's an animation, not physics. I believe the kotor engine doesn't actually have the ability for actual physics like moving cloth. Watching the robe animations while walking and seeing how Malak in the first game's robe only moved when he moved, (when playing as him to further inspect) shows this. The robes and all "dynamic" moving objects all do the same thing when they move. It's hand done animation.
@@Sadeness99 By "this", I meant 2007-present.
But yeah, it's a small wonder how these animations look better than the goofy results of developers leaning on outdated physics engines as a crutch.
If Revan is chosen to have been male, there's a dialog between Carth and Bastila as well which might have fitted this video...
Damn, that "Carth Onasi is still waiting for her" hits hard. Like you literally can feel his pain :(
ugh they set up such great possibilities for kotor 3 and then bioware tears it all down with the old republic
Yeah I completely agree. Kotor 1 and Kotor 2 are canon in my mind but that's where it ends
@Xadion Disney didn't destroy the very concept what canon is, they just segregated Legends from Canon.
@@chadkingoffuckmountain970 have u seen Disney cannon ive never seen such a lot of shit before it like the actually cannon is some persons fanfic it so bad
@Zoe Kin Basically the things uncanon are Sequels and stories that contradict TCW, that's it.
Also some parts of 2003 CW (like Ep 1 and 2) are canon as well.
I'm still hearing Scorch in his voice. :D
He was scorch?!
@@macbeth455 Yup. He was also Kaidan in the Mass Effect trilogy.
too bad they never did a KOTOR 3. I was still in elementary school back then I loved watching my dad play the game. I recently got an old copy of the first one thats already taken like 27 hours of my time (by recently, I mean like two days ago XD) this game series was one of Bioware's crowning jewels I wish they would continue it and not just leave it off to that annoying multiplayer game.
Norinia I still have faith
+Norinia there was rumors i think that they where looking at making a third but i doubt they will
+Darcel Spremere I'm thinking Disney and EA know what huge of a ripple in the force they will make if they announce KotOR 3 ;)
Don't lose hope padawan. Maybe after that new Mass Effect comes out
+SubtleRoar it doesn't have to be as good as this to be a really good game, i want a better conclusion to Revan and exile storyline than what SWTOR offered. i'd rather have Obsidian make it though
+SubtleRoar they wouldn't need to capture the essence as much as putting out another Starwars RPG to spend hours nerding on.
Shame we never got KOTOR 3, would have loved to have seen a reunion between Carth and Fem Revan always thought their romance was really sweet.
Ew
Carth Onasi was always one of my favorite characters in KOTOR and I was surprised to see him. He got special honors after the first KOTOR and I'm proud of him. If there's one thing I do like about the tie in to SWTOR, it's that it talks about how evan couldn't take any of his allies or people he loved with him. If we ever get a KOTOR 3, I'll cry my eyes out for days!!!!! The circle isn't complete without it. SWTOR I can leave because it butchered two of my fav characters into something I never wanted to see or hear. Well, let's hope for the best for the future. It's really all we can hope for.
People don't seem to realize that despite canon, your main character can be whatever you want them to be in the games.
Male, female, Jedi, Sith -- you can make your story unique to your character.
Remember, anything dated pre-Epsiode 1 in the timeline is considered "Star Wars Legends" not official canon............
and remember that Revan and Meetra as we know them now was created in the Star Wars The Old Republic: Revan novelization (which was made about 7 years after this game)
by different people, I might add
*****
Of course I'm talking Legends canon. Also, a lot of (if not most) anything dated pre, during or post Return of the Jedi (that didn't suit Disney's fancy) is considered not official canon either. Don't forget that.
I also know all that stuff about the books.
I'm just saying that when you play KOTOR, KOTOR 2, SWTOR, Jedi Academy, any game where you can make your own character and forge your own path, you can do whatever you want, despite what "canon" may be.
zachanikwano Exactly. Glad that some people believe in this. I'm just worried they might do the same thing if they make Revan and Exile canon again. I rather have them stay Legends honestly, so that I now have the chance to believe who Revan is in my opinion, without a canon identity.
I'm not trying to argue, but what you both say is true in different ways.
Yes, in the Star Wars lore Revan was a man and the Exile was a woman, and both followed the path of the light side (right?). So if someone wants to follow the lore, then that's the way it goes.
BUT, this is an RPG, and the great thing about RPGs like these is that you can choose how you want the story to go. So if you want Revan to be a woman and the Exile to be a man, then so be it. It's the story you chose.
@Zoe Kin That's such a wonderful way of putting it, your head canon. 😥
i feel for carth.... waiting all that time for the one he loves
I like how elements in this game are fresh yet familiar. For example in the first game Revan goes to a planet that's tied to his past, confronts a former ally who's turned to the darkside then makes it to the final stage where there's a huge space battle and fights the main villain saving the galaxy. In this game it's the opposite where the space battle is first, the main villain's death is second, the planet tied to the main character's past is third, and the former ally turned evil is last.
It just hit me... The Reapers caused the Mandalorian Wars. Revan realized this. Revan has left to go fight the Reapers. This is what led us to...
MASS EFFECT.
Cute, but no. In The Old Republic canon, it said that Revan left because there was an Empire of Sith in the Unknown Regions, and he went to topple that Empire alone.
+gcHK47
It was more meant to be "funny" than "cute" but whatever works. I know about the canon statements on what became of Revan after the events of KOTOR1.
Thank you for this edifying comment. If it hadn't been for you, I would've been fooled into thinking that Obsidian had liaisoned an implausible and nonsensical collaboration with Bioware and Lucas Arts in melding the Mass Effect and Star Wars universes in order to have Revan fight the reapers. You have shown me the light.
No need to thank me, Pillsbury. It's just what I do.
Jurassic0Al I was responding to the other guy for correcting you even though you were obviously joking actually.
I had to double check to see if Carth appeared on the log in the Harbinger. Apparently, on the recently released mac version, they replaced him with some "Admiral Cede" who is just a generic looking NPC with a typical v/o. A shame :(
It's dependant on your dialogue choices with Atton about Revan actually. If you don't choose the option that says Revan saved the Republic than Carth won't appear at all.
It's because you're making too much random choices.
@@joshuajensen4155 Dude. I know this is 4 years old, but I've been looking all around for this answer. I just started a playthrough of Kotor 2 with the Sith Lords mod and I couldn't figure out why Carth isn't there. It never occurred to me that it's because I told Atton that Revan went back to the Dark Side and killed everyone. Carth in my game's canon is dead. So thank you internet stranger for saving someone 4 years later with your comment.
That was jarring when i didnt realize you were using Bastila!s face as a PC
I loved Kotor 1
but in my opinion I think, minus the glitches, Kotor2 was a better made game. and the story interested me more
No, of course I didn't think that 2:02 to 2:27 was Kaidan talking about Shepard... And at some other parts as well.
12 years ago... Still wishing for kotor 3 now
It'd be more likely that Bioware ends up making Kotor 3.
Carth Onasi god damn this hurts to read from Big Carth himself 😞
False
Agreed. Oh, if only ALL RPGs could be like Oblivion! Without any definitive "end". The main quest could end, sure, but I'd like the ability to keep exploring and such. That requires a pretty big world to explore, though. And LOTS and LOTS of side quests.
Revan can also be female. It depends who you choose to play as, I chose both. And both genders work well.
If ur a male exile and u talk to carth in the end, when the conversation is over bastila will come up to carth and ask him if the exile had known anything about Revan, or at least that happened to me
Carth's T3 hologram (at 2:03 of this vid) will show up no matter what, if you tell Atton that Revan was female, be she Dark or light sided. But none of the other scenes are going to happen for you unless you tell Atton that Revan was light sided. The admiral is then some black dude instead.
And yes, this same hologram will feature Bastila instead, if you tell Atton that Revan was male. I'm in the middle of making a Bastila in K2 vid, so you'll get to see all of her stuff together. :)
It's incrediby sad how they offed T3... He was like the best droid ever.
You see, Carth waited for Revan for four years and is still waiting for her. Kaidan disses on poor Shepard for being dead in ME2 for two years and sort of dumps her! hahahah. i love how different they are, but still the same voice. Love, love.
Well, here we go again. There were some scenes with Carth I've already posted myself, but it was interesting seeing them all together; of course I changed it so Carth was wearing a Republic officer uniform instead of that armor they put on him in TSL that you see in my videos.
Keep up the good work. I look forward to seeing what else you come up with! :D
I recognized the armor used in The Sith Lords as the Bonadan Armor from the first game.
honestly Kotor1 and 2 are some of the best RPG's
I love these videos! thank you ^_^
i'm excited to see how the old republic turns out but i wouldn't mind seeing bioware develop another amazing kotor game
Mike the characters from Kotor 1 are Bastila Shan Jolee Bindo Juhani T3M4 Hk-47 Mission Vao Zalbaar And Canderous Ordo The first party member is Trask who later saves you not official member
4mywil and Carth lol
because in the beginning of the game you can set revan as either dark side or light side and either male or female when you first meet atton.
Truly the best game ever ! tehPrincessJ your videos are outstanding !
I don't ever remember encountering Carth...
«Simply tell him that Delta six-two is retrieving bacta»
she was pregnant with a boy(or a girl, can't remember exactly) when Revan left her and all those who cared for him in order to fight the evil Sith Empire ruled by the mysterious Sith Emperor, Vitiate. So Revan's son(or daughter) was like 4 or 5 years in KotOR 2. Revan never came back in the Republic, Bastilla died naturally (because she was old, right?), her son/daughter became a Jedi Knight but never got married and so there was no more of Revan's heirs. In an eventual KotOR 3, Meetra will meet
This is the best game series ever :)
i think so much of KOTOR 2, its plot, and kreia as a whole, are so vague and confusing at times because this game was just an IMMENSE (and incredible) set up to what should have been an awesome and conclusive 3rd game. so many loose ends and stories that could have been expanded on and completed.
maybe in an alternate universe KOTOR 3 is an awesome game people are playing to this day.
you can get this scene also as a male character but then you will meet carth AND bastila. and the things carth told the exile in the video bastila will tell you when you play as a male character.
I like how Carth was somewhat hinting to the fact of the Sith Empire's presence on Dromund Kaas but not saying it.
"posted in 2008" ah my recommendations are on time clearly
@blackhawkroger- That admiral appears if you tell Atton that Revan stayed with the dark side. In that ending, the Republic loses the battle at the Star Forge and Carth is presumably still stuck on the Rakata homeworld.
there needs to be more men like carth
Must have missed this in the PC version never saw Carth.
I’m surprised he didn’t make a joke that you were identical to Bastila
I just really like Bastila, so I'm using a mod that makes my Exile LOOK like her. She's not actually the Exile. Sorry for the confusion. ;)
And you should DEFINATELY play K2! It's just as good as (if not better than) K1!
By the way, At telos, Carth does not request to meet with me, he only says something if you go up to him, and all i remember him saying was: "If you see revan, tell here i'm waiting for her"
Carth leaves no real message to Revan. This a subtle nod to the fact that he still doesn't want to talk about it. Also, it's a bit ironic hearing Carth complain about Revan putting up walls and not talking about stuff.
You forgot when T3 shows Dispel Carth, when he was reporting to the Republic.
did some of you read the old republic Revan ? In the book you learn that Revan was a guy and the exile a blond blue eyed woman named Mettra Surik
how can i find the book
The Revan book was so utterly horrendous it's not worth consideration.
The novel was okay...but it was mainly a set up for the stupid MMO. And that game stinks. Revan should have been able to take out the Sith Emperor even if he died in the process the book...lacked a lot.
KOTOR 3 is basically TOR, the new MMORPG game being developed by Bioware and Lucasfilm. Check their site out and it give information as to who pushed the mandalorians to attack the Republic, shows where Revan and Malak went during the Mandalorian Wars and shows where Revan goes after the war
I like to look like Bastila, because, frankly, her head is the prettiest one in the entire game.
I think the whole not facing the player bit is a nice fit given the earlier situation. Grenn detaining you and all. Giving you a hard time so you give it back. My exile, at least, is that kind of woman. Hard. Not evil, just biting sarcasm.
Sadly, it doesn't look like there will be an actual KotOR 3. But in it's place, there will be an MMORPG called Star Wars: The Old Republic by Bioware, and it'll take place in the same era. Until more info is released, we won't know for sure though.
I loove Carth! lol so all these clips were great. :D thank you!!
You really love Carth don't you?
You know Meetra's story as the sentenced Jedi exile, who followed Revan in the Mandalorian Wars, became a Dark Jedi like thousands of other Jedi etc etc. But your player in KotOR 2 is NOT Bastilla, whether you like it or not. I mean, if you like following the true and original story, you can trust in what I say and can do that. After Meetra speaks with Carth in this video, Bastilla appears and asks Carth if Meetra knew where Revan had gone. I think Bastilla was already a mother, because
If you chose Male Revan, Bastilla will walk in after the exile leaves the room.
Continued (sorry, UA-cam made the enter button linked to posting the comment): If you make Revan lightsided, then Carth will be there, but if you make Revan darksided, he won't be. It's assumed that Carth was either stranded on the unknown planet after he runs away or he's killed by Revan if Revan's a female.
If Carth gets Canonized in the Movies, I would want him to be played by F’n Ramsey
WHATISWRONGWITHYOUPE is right, those 3 end up as party members again, but you'll also see Carth and Bastila, depending on how you play, and visions of Revan and Malak.
If I become a millionaire one day. I will hire someone to make kotor 3
look on obsidians website under the jobs section it says they need a lead artist or something like that for their upcoming undisclosed RPG title aka kotor 3
Honestly my head canon is that before or during the Mandalorian Wars, Malak had Revan cloned to do his bidding, but the clone became corrupted and fell to the dark side. The real Revan fled to Telos and changed her appearance via Force alteration, changed her name to Morgana, all due to a vision of a happy future meanwhile her duplicate was wreaking havoc. She met Carth and the pair had Dustil, which explains the genetic component of his force sensitivity. Malik became aware of the original Revan's whereabouts on Telos and bombed the planet to make sure that the real Revan could not oppose his rule. As Revan was severely injured, her ability to keep the facade up was diminished so once her body was taken away she escaped and assumed her true form once again. Bastila captured the real Revan as there was a mix up; a disorientated Revan traveled to her clone to discover what damage her clone had done, and Bastila mistook that Revan for the clone one, as the real Revan had to don the armor to hide her identity on board the ship. This to me explains why Carth feels so drawn to Revan, and why he equates several aspects of her personality to his late wife. Also, it adds depth to Revan's decision to seek Dustil out, her son, and convince him to turn away from the dark side. Ultimately Dustil recognized his mother and listened to her. I do not think that Revan told Carth of her true history with him, as it was too painful and would sew even more discord in their tumultuous relationship. It makes it even more heartbreaking as she was willing to tell him at the end, but the call to fight the Sith Emperor was too strong, as her sense of duty outweighed her love life. Also Uthar Wynn, the sith academy head master was so focused on Dustil's progress because he was so strong in the force, and his particular signature revealed that he was the biological son of an extremely powerful force user, and with someone of that legacy he would have an excellent pawn. I know it is all a stretch, but I like to delude myself into thinking it has merit. Rarth and Carven for the win!!!!
It'll either be a Mod or the KOTOR Savegame editor
i just wish that there will be a Kotor 3 and the exile finds Revan!
@TheReaverOfDarkness he has a son that joined the sith in kotor 1 and he looked like an adult back then so he'sprobably around 45
All of those admiral scenes making sense when it is carth and not this other guy oh my god
There is no KotOR III yet, but there soon will be. When the remake of the first game comes out next year, there will also be a KotOR II remake, and the second game's remake will lead into a third game.
Lol
Revan and along with many other allies, they will go and try defeating the Sith Empire once and for all. Meetra eventually dies after Vitiate kills her, but Revan will be held in stasis (between life and death) for almost 300 years. So in SWTOR (the new game), Revan is still present, but he is like more than 300 years old and held prisoner in the Sith Empire. How he really dies, I do not know. Vitiate was the most powerful Sith Lord/Sith Emperor who ever existed since the time of Marka Ragnos.
It was modded, allowing the exile to be played as Bastila.
I wonder what would happen in the last talk between the Exile and Carth if you use that Bastila head mod and set Revan to be male.
I wish they had given Revan and the Exile names. It just sound silly when you are halfway through the game and characters have to dance around saying their name.
Also, whith Zalbaar having a wookie life debt to Revan, he's with Revan for life. So...
in kotor 2 you are the exile.. in kotor 1 you are revan
dude carth was badass he should so be in kotor 2
seriously that would be a great story for the third game about how revan went in search of something. More evidence that they were thinking about making a another game but canceled it, just like dark alliance....
In the end it doesn't matter Revan and The Exile were given a bad ending so bioware could make a lot of money out of the old republic
Carth was the only one to be alive after everyone was dead from kotor 1 😢😢😢
When you talk to Atton at the beginning of the game, you choose whether Revan is a male or female and whether he/she was on the Lightside of the Darkside.
So, Carth was at Malachor V. Neat. HK-47 informs the Exile that Revan intended for all the troops and Jedi not loyal to his cause to be killed at Malachor when the Mass Shadow Generator was activated, and given that Carth is a well known war hero who is steadfast in his devotion to the Republic it's nearly certain that Revan (Indirectly) tried to kill Carth in that final battle, and had the Exile pull the trigger.
Maybe his trust issues are a teeny bit justified?
yeah. I'm glad Obsidian was able to continue the whole Carth/Revan thing! ;)
Telos. Very meaningful name.
Wow, I don't remember ANY of the other scenes with Carth (besides the holo in the beginning)...I'm playing K2 again, so maybe I'll see it now...?
yeah kinda, that's why Darth "Raven" is what boys like, so they reverse it to "Revan"
haha you should have put the HK making fun of him at the end
Agreed. the Exile and Revan, IN THESE GAMES, are whatever gender WE decide they are. Canon, be damned.
Carth will be in Kotor III if it will ever come out, I think that something happens to Revan and her companions find out, and there will be some sort of rescue mission, I have other theorys as well =P But knowing Bioware it could be anything. I will have to say lol, because I didnt think it was possible to find someone who liked Carth just as much as I do =D
@TearsOfWar1 while it was broken and unexplained they did, you are refuring to a save import like Mass effect I don't think they had the tech for that back then.
You sounded rather heated. Me on the other hand, not so much.
You forget that I am again not arguing about what is canonical. I am arguing the fact that since it is possible to play as both female and male in each game, it is possible to have your own story for who is what. Like me, I love RPG's, and LOVE to make stories in my head, on my own time. It is calming.
Now, I am done replying, thank you for your time.
Hate to break it to you Carth but uh REVAN IS A MAN!!!!!
Nina Azara He doesn't. Don't bother with him.
@TearsOfWar1 in the same part. You decide whether he saved the republic or went back to Korribban to strengthen the sith.
wait there is a comic book of this? what do you mean cannon? also why does exile look like bastila?(the last clip)
Ok, I thought you met him if you traveled to Telos a second time.
Well when T3 shows you the hidden message, if you're Male it's Bastila, and if you're Female it's Carth. It's kinda just the romance you were in that it affects, it's mainly LS DS that affects it though.
@MegaKyle13 Of course!! This is no mod. You just have to say that Revan saved the republic in Peragus when you first meet Atton.
Swtor... has hk-47... has revan... has the exile... has revan's and bastila's descendant as the leading member of the jedi council...
I look forward to seeing a video with you using that head model. :D
I love this fanservice! You do need to make Revan a hero in the recap conversation with Atton in order to see him. Otherwise, you only will see a generic admiral.
I'm not really sure that I understand your question. :( You SHOULD see all this stuff if you've seen the 1st scene (not the 1 w/ Mical if you're a female Exile). Again, all that is required to see Carth in K2 is tell Atton in the begining that Revan SAVED the Republic and the Jedi.
