Here's the thing about that line. KOTOR 2 came out months before Revenge of the Sith, and production was very secretive. Before that, the movies only stated Vader hunted down the Jedi, not clones. So who put that line in? Who guessed it would be the clones doing most of the work?

Justin Dicke Yeah the player's the one that decides his loadout, but even when HK-47 isn't under the player's control he still uses blasters almost exclusively, as do his "copies", such as in The Old Republic. I am pretty sure one of the characters does just that. It was the rogue character and pilot. He was in the past an interrogator and recruiter against tge Jedi. How he would work on them was by projecting base and crude emotions that did two things:
It made the Jedi think he was a simpleton
It prevented them from looking deeper into his mind.
Kreia herself actually has trouble reading his thoughts and only after pushing through the muck can she truly see what kind of person he really is.

Here’s how I imagine it would go for Sith:
“Confession: Ah, the Sith. While I admire their penchant for death and destruction, I must concede that they and their code have numerous weaknesses of their own, Master. There are many techniques I may suggest in the likely event that we confront one of those emotionally unstable sado-masochists in the future.”
    “Go on.”
“Explanation: While the Sith employ many of the same techniques and weapons as the Jedi, their psychological profile is quite different. While the Jedi are known for being calm, patient, disciplined and selfless, most Sith are brash, arrogant, volatile and selfish. As such, to exploit their psychological weaknesses and undermine their connection to the Force, you will need to take a different approach.”
    “What do you suggest?”
“Answer: Use their selfishness and arrogance against them. Example: Taunt them into reckless actions, or bait them with something they value. Many Sith will expose themselves or even turn on their allies to mend a bruised ego or claim a great prize. Silly Sith.
That is why the Sith Order has risen and collapsed numerous times, but the Republic and Jedi have survived largely intact for many centuries.”
“How many times have the Sith been defeated?”
“Answer: It is difficult to say, Master. The various conflicts between Jedi and Sith date back to the earliest years in the Republic’s recorded history, and I suspect they date back even further than that. Many of the same factors led to the Sith’s downfall each time.”
    “What factors?”
“Answer: Many core tenets of the Sith Code, such as selfishness, treachery and deceit, are rarely strengths when it comes to governing an empire. Many Sith Lords spent almost as much time fighting and plotting against each other rather than the Jedi or Republic, and many squandered vast amounts of resources on personal endeavors that did little to serve the empire as a whole. Loyal soldiers would often find themselves caught up in the power struggles of their Sith commanders and be slaughtered by their own brothers in arms; eventually, the empire found it difficult to recoup the key battles lost and mounting casualties incurred by this infighting.
Assessment: This infighting, combined with the constant warring with the Republic, invariably led to the Sith Empire’s collapse again and again. One wonders what havoc the Sith might wreak if they ever stopped betraying one another.”
“Any more techniques for killing Sith?”
“Statement: The Sith seem to lack the same degree of foresight as the Jedi. While they can sometimes still sense incoming danger, it appears less reliable and effective than the Jedi’s foresight. Therefore, planned incidents can often prove far more effective against Sith than Jedi.
Extrapolation: Perhaps the technique requires some level of discipline that most Sith lack, or perhaps the Sith are simply more inclined to throw caution to the wind and face danger head-on.
Cautionary: However, what they lack in foresight, the Sith make up for with resilience. One must take care to ensure that they are truly dead.”
    “What do you mean?”
“Answer: Many theorists claim that pain allows Sith to strengthen their connection to the Force, and I do not know if that is true, but they seem to possess a remarkable ability to endure even the most grievous injuries and press on.
Statement: Like swamp-kivers, they can seemingly refuse to die in spite of all logic, getting right back up no matter how many times you knock them down. They are stubborn little beasts.”
“What do you suggest for that?”
“Answer: Much like the Jedi, the most effective weapon against the Sith is the erosion of the spirit. If a Sith is determined not to die, then one must erode that determination by other means.
Elaboration: Effective methods to erode a Sith’s spirit include guilt, regret, and hope. Make the Sith reflect on all they have done and question if it was worth it. Make them question if their chaotic, miserable existence, full of paranoia and pain, is truly worth living. Then from there, all that is required is shattering the illusion that there is no other way, and offering a way out. Call it ‘redemption’ if you like. And from there, even a blaster pistol would be more than enough to put the sorry meatbag out of his misery.”

The Jedi believed they posed no threat to them, but watch the Geonosian Arena scene and you’ll see that the B1s killed almost all 200 Jedi Knights Present. 2. those that don't and as such can be killed by exploiting their code
If you need a very dogmatic, but highly vague and contradictory code to dictate your steps, you are doing it wrong.
The Jedi code forbids attachments, because they impair judgement. Yet, at the same time, the Jedi code compels the follower to abandon every good sense to rush to the aid of people then and there, despite the fact that in the long run that is more often than not idiotic, and thus the code itself impairs judgment. The Jedi Code is probably the weirdest thing to exist in sci-fi, because it is used by essentially demigods that play peacekeepers while demanding a full lack of emotions and attachments, things that are wholly incompatible, and failing to follow it turns the follower into a lunatic lots of times (Jolee is the only real counter-example I can think of, and evdn then not truly). People talking about how cool the nod to order 66 is, when they're totally missing how amazing the line "The master thought it was ironic that only people who had experienced such passions could harm jedi in such a way. -- That to kill Jedi, you had to have been human being."
What an absolute gem this one line is... Not only does it provide a case for any non-force-user ever being able to go toe-to-toe with a Jedi or Sith, but it also highlights the main problems with both orders. For both of them, to fully "perfect" the connection to the darkside or the lightside, you're required to give up your humanity.

@@archsteel7 Semantics are important when building a universe, and we're discussing the 'rules' of a universe here, how to kill a jedi. I personally think it's more than semantics though - the KOTOR games themselves showed plenty of beings that were traditionally non-emotive by nature. Are they incapable of becoming jedi, in that case, as they have no emotions to 'master'? That is the implication of the sentence you highlighted. That becoming a jedi means losing something specifically *human* in the Star Wars universe, when part of the joy of Star Wars is that humans are just a small fraction of it.

Jedi won't crush you into a ball of bloody meat for fun; Sith can and will.

@@papapalps2415 Wow. For starters your comment may of gotten deleted by UA-cam, and though UA-cam censor everything it might just be a symptom of your standoff-ish demeanour or bizzare language. Is SW is this personal to you?
Back to the matter. In the days of the Old Republic, it’s common for non force users or non historians to call the Sith - Jedi or dark Jedi. For them it was just to sides of the same coin, an impression which did not help the actual Jedi during the Jedi civil war. It’s even in the name of the war. *Jedi Civil War* It’s merely just Jedi vs Sith but people just call them both Jedi anyways, light or dark. Those bombed by Revan and Malak would always use this generalisation not only for offense of Jedi but because of ignorance or indifference. Sith we’re more widely identified as an Empire, not a creed or clan. Kreia also mentions this.
Not saying your wrong, dark siders are usually pragmatic and ruthless but they are still victims of their own code - like the Jedi, which is the point HK was trying to make. All force users are arrogant but Sith in particular are more stubborn because they think they are so powerful, even fighting with one hand as a boast. This is why Sidious wasn’t interested in lightsabers. Sith also tend to have existential crises when they lose faith in their tenets as seen in game or other SW media - just like Jedi. We always see Sith play with their food, and paying for it dearly. Maul & Sidious being infamous examples of carelessness leading to their death. There are many other vectors used to kill force users, not to mention Sith also are capable of reading minds and I don’t need to go more into explanation as to why this makes Sith vulnerable too - HK says it perfectly. Mentally defeat them, or even distract them with bizarre or contradicting thoughts and strike when they’ve lost sense of your true intentions or no longer want to search your dirty, disgusting mind.
You can’t kill someone with a single gesture when you can’t see them in the first place. What if they are concealed? Too far away?? Once again HK mentions this, and Atton alludes to such practices. The point of this video is to actually prove how powerful these people are! But also how their gifts are their curses. Make no mistake Revan couldn’t of fought the civil war without force sensitives.
In fact you didn’t contradict any statement I made or any HK-47 made. All you said was essentially, killing Sith is super unlikely because Sith are so powerful and pragmatic. HK doesn’t disagree with you but calling it impossible is far reaching. As long as you are force sensitive your biggest strength can be made a flaw because you’re so dependent on it. As long as you dedicated your life to a certain set of codes you rely so heavily on, breaking your belief that you’re so dependent on can be made a flaw. This is partly why Kreia emphasised The Exile needs to not just be proficient in one set of skills but several, because force users are so reliant on it and pay for it dearly.

"We always see Sith play with their food, and pay for it dearly..."
Absolute garbage. We see particularly powerful or notable Sith sometimes become cocky and sometimes lose because of their opponents getting spectacularly lucky and/or pulling a Hail Mary. Trying to pretend like as if this some universal, constant trait all Sith exhibit constantly is beyond silly.
"Maul and Sidious being infamous examples of carelessness leading to their deaths..."
Wow, that's neat. So how does this relate to Sith being perfectly willing and capable of just instantly killing any non-Force user with a stray thought?
"Mentally defeat them, or even distract them with...(snip)"
Wow, that's cool. So how does this help a non-Force user defend against their hearts being ripped from their chests or having their brains turned to mush or being simply choked to death by Random Sith #70931?
The problem you seem to be having is that you think advice that applies to Jedi, with all their moral limiters and various qualms and so on, is even vaguely supposed to be useful against somebody that can and will rip your nervous system out of your body and choke you with it with a gesture. These are two very, very different opponents.
"What if they are concealed? Too far away??"
What if the guy has a pocket nuke dead man's switch? What if the muggle is actually Kal-El of Krypton? What if the Sith has a random, spontaneous heart attack? What if...?
No, really though, stop. You can introduce virtually any number of variables, but bar the deck being exceedingly stacked in the muggles favour to a hysterical degree, it makes rather little difference in the outcome. The moment the Sith has an idea of where they even are, nevermind visual sight, its over.
"...but impossible is far reaching.. "
I'm not saying it's impossible. It obviously is. We do have some examples (though usually with liberal context) of normals beating Sith. But it isnt exactly far off of impossible, either, again bar ridiculous levels of deck stacking.

God DAMN, why couldn't we get this level of writing out of Disney or Lucas?

I like how you can see examples in the movies of almost everything HK-47 is talking about. In Attack of the Clones, Anakin and Obi-Wan sensed a premeditated attack on Padme a few seconds before it happened, but impulsive acts succeeded in catching them (And other Jedi) off guard many times. When Dooku placed Yoda's allies in jeopardy, Yoda was forced to break off the fight with him. And battlefield conditions drove many Jedi (Anakin most prominently) to turn against the Jedi Order during the Clone Wars.

In the books the Vong used Orbital strikes to take out a Jedi Temple if I remember right.
In further thought its also interesting how HK:47 is also somewhat describing the cause, reasons, and Fall of Anakin Skywalker, when as many commentators have pointed out, this game was made before Revenge of the Sith.

Addendum: Throughout the Mandalorian War, there were numerous reports of Mandalorians using a type of weapon that did not fire a traditional blaster bolt, but instead a high density metallic slug, specifically carried for the intent of eliminating Jedi.
*1. What purpose would those serve?*
    2. So you're saying that Revan intended to break the Jedi?
    3. I had more questions for you.
    4. That's enough. I'll be going now.
Answer: Lightsabers, as I am sure you are already aware, master, are capable of deflecting blaster bolts, as well as melting most metallic elements in which it comes into contact. The Mandalorians sought to use this advantage against the Jedi. If a Jedi attempted to deflect a shot from one of these weapons, the metallic slug would melt after passing through a lightsaber blade, hitting the Jedi with molten metal.
Commentary: While I do not believe this would immediately kill most Jedi upon impact, the sensation of sudden burning organic meatbag flesh would certainly break the concentration of even the most skilled Jedi.

In 3000 BBY or so the Galaxy entered a Dark Age where many things were forgotten due to the continual Destructive Conflict between the Sith and the Jedi that started in the 3600s BBY Range (Technology, History, Things regarded as "Legends"). The Modern (19 BBY) Galaxy only really knew everything that happened after 1000 BBY When the Galactic Republic was Created from the ashes of the "Old Republic". This is why the Jedi never seem to notice that they are making the same mistakes as their ancestors. Or that Imperial Design is reminiscent of Sith Designs. Palpatine however knew much of ancient history and used that knowledge to accelerate his Master plan. the Malachor seen in Rebels is not Malachor V (But its in the same system) and sometime between KOTOR and 1000 BBY a Female Sith used a Giant Kyber Crystal to Construct a Super Weapon. Using the Dark Energies that existed since the time of Revan this Female Sith was almost successful in wiping out every life form in the Galaxy. The Jedi Sent Hundreds of their Order to Destroy the Weapon. Unfortunately the Sith Fired the Weapon prematurely Causing a Massive Explosion that Petrified the Jedi and the Sith. Leaving no indication that the Battle had been won or lost. Yoda seemed to know a Bit about Malachor as he sent Kanan, Ahsoka and Ezra there. I know KOTOR isn't Canon but it very well could Be. :)

@Vyrisus I think Fordo meant like... speaking in all encompassing.
Because Star Wars was at it's core a Western Space Fantasy.
Everything else wasn't really as important in places when you just look at the Original Trilogy, which was more of a take on Mysticism when it came to the force. Was more on an idea than an encompassing Religion to the Jedi Order.
But then the Prequel Trilogy underminded and retconned all that by trying to over explain what is essentially that universe's magic. Which... is kinda pointless in my opinion. Over explaining the force is just bad writing and showing contempt and distrust to your audience. Which is probably a part most universally hated in Episode one.
Can I say KOTOR is "The True Face of Starwars"? No.
The Original Trilogy will always be the true face of Star Wars to me, because it was where it all started. It was the foundation. Everything the came after was just building on it.
So it is just such a weird take.
